Finn Black served as a Marine but is now back in school and working for Hayes Securities. It can be a dangerous job but he is not one to shy aware from danger. His friends Robbie Hayes understands what he went through (his story was told in the Surrendering series) and has worked out his own demons. Along with Max Roberts and Tripp Jones they are a band of brothers.

Presley Chambers wakes up from a dream. Her brother Simon, who is serving overseas, came to her in this dream and told her that she needs to stop living a safe life; it is time to take some chances. He is sending a good man her way. Presley craves security and safety. The men in her life have been stable, but boring.

"I'm sending someone to you. He's a good man. Don't be afraid to take a chance. He'll take care of you. Forever, if you let him. I'm not going to promise life will be easy, but he'll love you like you were put on this earth only for him. To say I trust him is an understatement, because I'm trusting him with you, my beautiful, golden baby sister."

Presley's just started volunteering with the K9 for Warrior dogs. She loves working with the dogs and helping to find good homes for them. So when Robbie Hayes goes along with Finn to check out a dog for his wife Ember he meets Presley. Boom! Lots of checking each other out with their eyes and  discreet little glances.

Presley's world shifts right from under her when it's confirmed that her brother Simon was killed in action. He leaves behind a little girl, Whitney. Presley has been helping to raise her along with her dad. Winnie's mom is not in the picture.

When Finn and his friends hear about Simon's death they go to the service out of respect. That's when he finds out that Presley was Simon's sister. He wants so much to help her, but isn't sure how yet. He reconnects with her when Robbie sets up a meeting for he and Ember to adopt Blade, the dog she's been working on to find a home.

Finn is determined to get to know Presley. They find out they have a ton of things in common. There is a little too much insta love for me that moves things along quickly. But Finn often is faced with real life danger and when things get too heated there's going to be a ton of fall out. Presley's loss is so fresh, will she be able to deal with the threat of losing Finn?

This story is best when the drama and angst are at its highest. When hearts are broken and the tears flow that's when my fingers flew through the pages. For the most part, Finn is a sweet story about a war weary soldier who finds a connection with a woman trying her best to find herself.

"I will love you like no man has ever loved a woman before, and promise to give you everything your heart desires."

Review: This is Love, Baby by K Webster

My War was over and I had lost. My captor reminded me I was nothing more than his pawn.
His strategy never changed…it was always me.

But what he didn’t know was that LOVE always wins.

In my War, I’d found not only peace
but LOVE as well.

I’d been through a battlefield with my War and LOVE was what brought us to the other side.
Our LOVE was beautiful and pure. Undying.

My captor thinks he has won this war. That I will LOVE him.
What he doesn’t know is this time, I’m the one with a strategy. I’m always thinking several moves ahead of him, my War taught me that.

I will outsmart him and find peace again.
This is a war I will win.
My LOVE will conquer all.

Warning:
This is Love, Baby is a dark romance. Strong sexual themes and violence which could trigger emotional distress are found in this story. Terrible, terrible things happen to our poor heroine, so you’ve been properly warned. This story is NOT for everyone.

Review by Jen Hagen

I want to say I was right, but I was wrong!!  This story didn’t go the way I had planned it to, but that’s a good thing.  It went even crazier than I had anticipated!  For those that have not read the first book, please be aware there are potential spoilers from this point on.  You have been warned…

It’s been 4 months since Baylee was taken from her bedroom.  She has conquered fear and loneliness, eventually finding comfort in War’s arms and safety in his home.  Unfortunately, that security is short lived and once again Baylee is found battling her demon alone.

The loss of my lover, my friend, my safety—it’s too much to bear.  A piece of me is gone.  Forever.  Not just my heart, but my soul.  It’s been fractured and stolen from me.  I’m no longer a whole person – just a broken, leftover mess.

Baylee doesn’t know whom to trust.  She is being told lies from two people she always thought would be on her side.  The poor girl is getting whiplash from turning her head to their voices, never knowing which one is baiting her and which one is telling the truth.   Could things really have happened that way?

“It was business and you were a pawn, sweet girl.”

War is fighting hard for Baylee.  He is trying to be the strong man that she needs and he is desperately trying to overcome his idiosyncrasies.  War’s greatest opponent used to be himself, but now he has to step up his game another notch to make certain he can outwit the other players and the girl for the win.

“We’ve won.  Love always wins, Bay.”  When she starts to cry, tears of relief, I kiss away each one.

My eyes were going cross eyed from reading so fast to try to get all the answers.  Just when you think you have it all figured out… BAM!  There’s another twist thrown in.  There are multiple points of view thrown at us.  I relished the change of direction in the story and couldn’t get enough of the deceit.  If you thought the first one was a little messed up, just wait until you read this installment!

Blog Tour: Waiting on Faith by Nicole Richard

Title: Waiting on Faith
Series: A She's Beautiful Novel
Author: Nicole Richard
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: March 26, 2016
She’s a woman running from her past.
He’s a man with a fractured heart.
Natalie Brentwood is determined to escape a life of betrayal and abuse. Vowing to live the life she knows she deserves, despite the one she’s endured.
Cy Davis is no stranger to lies and deceit. He’s harbored a ten-year grudge that could quite possibly ruin his chances with a woman who blindly captured his heart.
But when two people are brought together by fate, can they be the light the other needs? Or will a secret and past insecurity be a test of their love and faith.
A story of love and hate and the depths one will go to bury heartbreak than runs deep.

“Blue,”―he paused to suck my nipple―“I need inside. I can’t take it. I need to be in you, baby.”
“Yes,” I spilled out in desperation.
Laying me right there on the couch, he lavished kisses on my neck, and the tip of his cock tickled my entrance. “Condom,” I managed to pant out through the lust his assault was creating.
I wasn’t ready to go there yet. I was not ready for the possibilities or repercussions of unprotected sex. I was on birth control, but that didn’t matter to me. No matter how careful or cautious a woman was about taking the pill or getting the shot, babies could still happen.
Cy exhaled a hot breath, leaning his forehead to mine. “Got it. I wonder what exactly it is about you that makes me forget my own goddam name.”
“Cy, my pussy is beating, and it’s begging for your cock. Go get the damn condom and fuck me into tomorrow already. Please,” I added as an afterthought. If he didn’t hurry, I would go searching for a vibrator if I had to. Never in my life had I been so sex starved.
He swooped down for a chaste kiss before running off to his room. “Don’t go anywhere,” he threw over his shoulder.
“Why would I go anywhere when you haven’t given me my damn orgasm yet?”
He laughed, shaking his head as he disappeared through his bedroom doorway.

Forty seconds later, he came back into view with a condom in place and string of them hanging from his hand. I couldn’t help but let my giggle escape.

Then he was over me, caging me between his arms and the couch with his cock right where I needed him. I dropped my knees to the sides, spread them as wide as I could and pulled his hips toward me.
“Aren’t we a greedy girl tonight?” He chuckled. “But shit if I don’t think it is the hottest damn thing.”
Cy slammed into me hard and I screamed out, arching into him and pulling him impossibly closer. He set a gentle pace, which made my toes curl and a light sweat break out over my skin.
Murmurs of pleasure fell from my lips before I could stop them. My hips surged to meet his, silently asking him for harder, deeper. He obliged, and my screams escalated with each thrust. Stars and white lights, again. Damn, this man was good.

Nicole was born and raised and currently resides in Hawaii with her husband and two teenage children. At an adolescent age she took a strong liking to reading and even had a pipe dream of writing her own book. Life and growing up had put reading on the far end back burner, but her dream recently came true with her debut novel The Beauty of Grace, book one in the She’s Beautiful Series. A hopeless romantic, she has a love for romance novels which she credits her late mother passing on to her and now an even stronger love to write her own stories.
