Review and Giveaway: Torn by KA Robinson

4 star review by Guest Reviewer Jennifer Hagen

Chloe is attending college with her best friends Amber and Logan.  Her mother has never wanted anything to do with her and has a history of being violent towards Chloe.  Chloe’s mother does not know the whereabouts of Chloe and has not seen her for over a year.  Amber and Logan have provided Chloe with comfort and necessities when she has needed them.  She feels an overwhelming sense of gratitude and deep friendship to Logan.

On the first day of class, Chloe meets a gorgeous boy with tattoos and piercings.  Chloe later sees him as the lead singer of a band.  The gorgeous singer is Drake and he has a history of groupies filling the void for drugs. They begin a friendship that starts to cross the line into hidden passion.

However, Logan is hiding his love for Chloe and is making things uncomfortable between any friendship developing between Drake and Chloe.  Drake is aware of the feelings Logan has for Chloe.  Logan confesses his hidden feelings to Chloe during his drunken stupor and this changes everything.

Chloe becomes “torn” between wanting to be with Drake and the chance that it will ruin the friendship that she and Drake have developed or to be with Logan since he has always been there for her. Drake helps her make her decision:

“You should be with Logan.  He loves you and he would take care of you.  I’m not a good person and I don’t pretend to be.  I want you, but I can’t have you.”

Chloe and Logan take their friendship to the next level and begin dating.  Chloe and Drake still have their friendship and everything appears to be going well for Chloe.   But, Drake and Chloe still fight their passion for each other.  What happens when they succumb to it?

“I’ve fallen in love with you, and if you would just give me a chance I could prove it to you.”

Who will Chloe choose?

“You both mean so much to me.”
