My story isn’t a love story … not the typical kind anyway.
As a lawyer, I’m used to discovery, but I never saw this one coming.

Every day, River gives me ten reasons to stay away, and then eleven reasons why I can't. Our relationship was to remain strictly business, or at least I tried.

Four years of marriage, and everything with Cole has changed. I never knew two people who lived together could be so distant. But I’m not ready to give up on him.

One man wants to break me.
The other is just trying to get even.

Both are lying to me.

Excerpt #1

He puts the SUV in park and turns his body toward me. “Most things you can, Mrs. Mason. Hang around me for a little while, and you’ll find out how.”
“For instance,” I tease, still feeling some of the vodka. “You can’t make me take your case. If I wanted to, I could dump you as a client and there wouldn’t be a damn thing you could do about it.”
He scoffs. “But you won’t.”
“How do you know that?” I grin back at him. Conversing with River has become a game.
“Because right now, I’m the most exciting thing you have going on in your life.” He brushes a stray piece of hair away from my eyes. “You get up every morning and throw on one of your expensive business suits. You wear your hair the same way, take your coffee the same way, and leave for work at exactly the same time. Your life revolves around the four walls that make up your little office, but your clients—they aren’t like me. You work late because your husband either isn’t home or he’s home but he’s not really there, not the way you want him to be anyway. That’s your life, Marley.”
“You don’t know anything.” My voice bellows.
“Then tell me what part of that I got wrong.”
I open my mouth to argue, but he has me pegged. One freaking day, and he has me all figured out.
“I need to go,” I say, pushing the door open. I punch the numbers into garage door and pray it opens before he has any thought of coming after me. It works the first time, and as soon as I close the door and walk into the kitchen, I hear his SUV pull away.

This isn’t going to work.

I thought I’d left Blackwater, Texas behind for good. I didn’t belong in the small town, but my dad wouldn’t listen. He dragged me back home in his beat-up truck and dropped a bomb along the way: Chase Matthews was moving in with us. He was the golden boy of my high school, my former best friend, and the last person I wanted sleeping across the hall. His presence was too great a reminder of the ghosts I was trying to forget.
I didn’t ask for a hero. I don’t want to be saved.
To me, Lilah Calloway meant late nights sneakin’ out, moonlit hair, and sparklers in July. She was my best friend until the day she left and I’d assumed Blackwater had seen the last of her. Then, like a tempest, she rolled back into town for the final half of senior year. The chopped hair and dark devil-may-care attitude warned most people away, but I knew if I fought hard enough, I could find the lost girl.
I didn’t want to be her hero. Some girls don’t need to be saved.
I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way, I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things... everyday.
I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors include Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I'm a comedy geek and love all things "funny". Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.

Hearts of Blue is a standalone contemporary romance that tells the story of star-crossed lovers Karla Sheehan and Lee Cross, a police constable and the thief who steals her heart.

4.5 star Review by Jen Skewes

A great book is a book that you cannot put down once you start reading it.  It is a book that captivates you from the very start.  It makes you fall in love with the characters and feel with them.  It leaves you with a book hangover and still thinking of the characters the next day.  After reading Hearts of Blue by LH Cosway I can tell you that this book has all of the above.  It is no surprise really.  I love everything that I have read by this author.  She knows how to write beautiful stories about unique individuals.  They are stories that are different from what I usually read.  HOB is a forbidden romance, which yes it something we all love and have read before.  But this one is still different in it’s own way.

Karla is a police officer who is very dedicated to her job.  Lee Cross is a thief is will do what it takes to protect and provide for his family.  They are both on opposite ends of the law but neither one of them can deny the attraction and chemistry that they feel when they are near each other.  As much as Karla knows she should stay away he is always in her thoughts.  And Lee will do what he can to prove just how much they belong together.

Lee Cross is a thief, but a thief with a huge heart.  His family is everything to him.  When he was a teenager he was left in a position where he had no choice.  And this is part of what draws him to Karla even more.  She sees that deep down he really is a good guy who loves his family.  While she may not agree with his choices in life she knows that he had his family’s best interest at heart.  She also sees how much he loved them and will do anything for them.  Karla feels the connection that they have but given her position she is not sure being with him is the right thing to do.  It has the potential to destroy her and her career.  But sometimes the heart wants what the heart wants and staying away from Lee Cross is not as easy as it seems.  When lines are crossed you have to ask, can a thief and a police officer really make this work?  Will there come a point where one will make a choice between work and love?  Hmmmmm, you will have to read to find out.

There is just something about Lee Cross that I loved.  I don’t know if it was the fact that he had a good heart and down deep down was a good guy, or was it his sexiness and dirty talk that got me?  Either way I loved the guy and at times found myself smiling at the thing he would say.  I loved his flirtatious moments with Snap (his nickname for Karla).  But I also loved the sexy and sweet moments as well.  I loved how much he loved his family and wanted to protect them.  While his means of providing for them may not have been the best, seeing it from his side of the story you begin to understand his decisions and motives and you cannot help but love him for it.  Regardless of how wrong it is.

Karla was very dedicated to her job and helping people, no matter who they were.  I felt how much she wanted Lee but was so conflicted on her feelings for him, which I completely understand.  Being a police officer and falling for a thief puts you in one hell of a bad situation.  Especially when dealing with the Cross family. But being with Karla made Lee want to be a better person, to finally be able to walk on the right side of the law.  But unfortunately there are still prices to pay and obstacles to cross before these two can truly be together and be happy.

I always look forward to LH Cosway’s books.  She creates such amazing, unique, beautiful and loving characters.   Karla and Lee fit so well together.  You have to ask how can thee two even be together.  How can someone who is on the right side of the law and never one to even stray be able to make with work with someone like Lee?  But Ms. Cosway made it work.  And she made it work in a way that you were rooting for the two of them the entire time.  I felt the connection between them.  I loved the moments when they were together.  I wanted them to make it work, for them to find a way no matter what.  Because they were just so perfect together, and because you felt the love between them and you saw how much they cared.

I cannot write this reiew without mentioning Lee’s family.  I didn’t just fall in love with Lee Cross, I fell in love with his entire Cross family.  I specifically have this thing for Trevor and cannot wait for his story.  Once again LH Cosway has created another unique and beautiful story about love between two people that come from completely opposite worlds.  But yet somehow they find their way into each other’s hearts.  I did not want to put this book down from the moment thtat I started reading it.  And when it was all over I did not want to let go of Lee and Snap.  Another aming job by LH Cosway

Lee didn’t answer, and instead he took a step forward, forcing me to back up if I didn’t want us to collide. The problem with this meant my back hit the wall a moment later. “You’re so pretty, Snap,” he said, voice low, as he dropped his face to my hair and breathed in. I wasn’t wearing a hat, and my hair was tied up in a bun. My entire body trembled when he wrapped his arms around my waist, inhaled deeply and pulled me into a hug. This was a distraction, I knew it, and yet, I let him distract me. I wanted to be distracted, and I was just glad that the blinds in his office had been pulled. Standing in his embrace for at least a minute with silence all around us, I was unable to move. I liked having Lee close, loved the feel of him and how he could make feel so…surrounded. Despite all the warning signs, my attraction to him only grew stronger. There was just something about him that called to me. “Lee.” His mouth moved against my hair. “What is it, Karla?” “Why are you hugging me?” “You looked like you needed to be held.” His response was low, and the affectionate undertone had me swallowing deeply. At long last I summoned the willpower to break the hug. His arms fell away from me easily, my stomach churning with confusion. What the hell was I doing? I stared at the floor when I spoke. “I have to go.” Heading for the door, I paused when he said gently, “Hey, I needed it, too.”

4.5 Stars!

Review by Lisa Kane

"A conqueror doesn't ask for permission."

The Broken Love series is just one of those that sucks you in to its crazy vortex. The characters are real, the story lines twist and turn and you just keep waiting for your next fix. Breaking Love is the newest installment and I have been waiting for Willow and Dash's story. Not to mention I kept wondering where in the hell has Willow Waters been for the last four years? Well, that question doesn't get answered until almost the end of the book.

Dash recently took over his family's dynasty from his father. Although his father is still interfering and trying to call the shots. It seems that Dash is just on the verge of a merger of his own. I thought we saw the last of Roslyn and her pathetic attempts to get her evil claws into Dash but it seems she's back! Agghh! Cue the evil witch music.

It's Sheldon and Keenan's big day and guess who's coming? By way of being thrown out the back of a moving van, Willow makes her dramatic appearance. She offers no explanations for where she has been and Dash is trying to keep it together. She seems changed and almost bland in her appearance.

A broken heart had done what eighteen years of scolding and parental control couldn't. It normalized me.

It's obvious she is here for some purpose and she is hiding secrets. He is slowly getting involved in the intrigue that surrounds her. He may tell himself that he is trying to get to the bottom of things but who is he kidding? This is the woman he has been looking for for the last four years and now that she is here, he wants answers. But can Willow move past her insecurities and let him in?

Wanting Dash was risky. Fucking him was dangerous. Loving him would be a tragedy.

This wouldn't be a BB Reid story if there wasn't a villain or two thrown in. I thought Mitch, Arthur and Mario were rotten to the core, but it seems there's a new player in town and this one road in on the crazy train. How is she connected to Willow? Is she behind Kennedy's kidnapping? How about Mitch and John's deaths? Oh, lots of questions to be answered.

My beloved Keiran and Lake are still running amok and lusting after one another. Sheldon and Keenan are fairly settled (as if Keenan could ever settle down!) and Kennedy steals the show. That kid is just a cute ice cream cone covered in pink sprinkles. She has just the right amount of dialogue without bordering on the obnoxious. Some authors make the story center around the kids and it's too much, but Ms. Reid has the perfect amount of balance with this Masters offspring. She's as full of mischief as her father and as gorgeous as her mom.

"Willow, I made a swimming pool for Barbie."

"So you did."
It took half the Saturday to fix and clean the destruction Kennedy had caused. I dubbed it the Great Flood of Ken.

Can Willow and Dash ever find their way back to one another? Have there been other lovers in between and were they significant enough to blur what they once had with each other? What secrets is Willow hiding and what will the fall out be for every one else in the story?

It always starts with a kiss. So innocent and simple without promise or committment.

The characters in this series are so strong, even the secondary ones, that there is so much material that I hope there are more installments to come. Don't look for all your questions to be answered and tied up in pretty little pastel bows. You know the way Ms. Reid and her twisted mind works. There's a path of crumbs that she's dropped and we have to follow that winding trail until she wants us to find our answers! She's not going to give up that info until she's good and ready. In the meantime, I'll just keep lapping up every book like a kitten with a saucer of sweet cream!

"For some insane fucking reason, I crave you. I want you more than I've ever wanted anything or anyone."

Topless passionate heterosexual young couple

EXCERPT: REGRET WAS SOMETHING I had become accustomed. Ever since I ran, I’ve lived with it every day. And now it seemed at every turn, I was adding to my list of things to regret. I saw the accusation, the anger, the distrust… I’d made the wrong decision and paid the consequences by further damaging my friendship with Lake. I excused myself to the bathroom when I couldn’t fake it with my head held high anymore. I splashed water on my face and pretended I wasn’t crying. I told myself I wouldn’t be a bad person and that from now on, I would only make good decisions, but I knew when I reentered reality, none of it would hold any weight. A knock on the door jolted me out my self-loathing. I became as stiff as a board and held my breath as if the person on the other side could actually hear. “Willow?” The feminine sound of Lake’s voice calling my name made me grip the counter. “I know you’re in there.” The doorknob turned as she knocked again. With a deep breath and then another, I unlocked and snatched open the door. “Yes?” “What was that down there?” “I don’t follow,” I answered slowly. She pushed into the bathroom and closed the door shut. “Who are you?” The pain was etched all over voice. “The Willow I know would never have kept such a dangerous secret like that and put lives in jeopardy.” “The Willow you knew isn’t standing here. You took what was left of her when you walked away for him.” “If you think it hurt watching me move to another school, then be thankful you never had to feel what it was like to find one day that your best friend was gone without a trace. I fucking mourned you, Willow. I didn’t leave because I preferred him. I left because I needed him. I love him, Willow.” “And I needed you.” The volume of my voice increased with the overwhelming emotions raging inside. “He’s abused you since we were kids. You’re such a fucking masochist.” “I’m not living in the past like you. I forgave him for me.” “Have you? Why? Has he even apologized or did he just make you a bunch of promises that sounded good?” “You don’t know what you’re talking about.” “I know what he did to you.” “No one knows better than me.” Her tone took on a harder edge, and I could tell the pain was still there despite all their happily ever after bullshit. “And what about what he did to me?” “What Keiran did was despicable, but he didn’t make you fuck Dash and he didn’t make you fall in love. You did it because you wanted to and because your heart craved Dash. The start may have been false, but the journey was real.” I searched for a spot on the wall and fixated on it. I couldn’t stand to look in Lake’s unusual eyes and not give in. “This great love you speak of tormented you for ten years and did unthinkable things to you for entertainment. In every war, there are casualties and people get hurt. I was one of them. It was one thing to fall in love, but it was unbearable to watch you ride off into the sunset with him. You never even thought to help me learn how to heal as I did for you. Did you forget? I dried every one of your tears and shared your pain so you could find the strength to face the next day only to be knocked down again. And now you’re actually trying to convince me that it was love? Well, I found and lost my only chance at love because of him. I won’t forgive him. Not even for me. The pain serves me much better. It reminds me I’m alive, and it’s love that destroys you.” Lake watched me with sad eyes and then shook her head, defeated. She turned to grasp the door handle to leave but turned back at the last minute. “You didn’t lose him,” she shot back forcefully. “You let him go.”

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: B.B., ALSO KNOWN as Bebe, found her passion for romance when she read her first romance novel by Susan Johnson at a young age. She would sneak into her mother's closet for books and even sometimes the attic. It soon became a hobby, and later an addiction, influencing her life in a positive way. Bebe is fresh out of undergrad college and has always wondered about the existence of her talent. When she finally decided to pick up a metaphorical pen and start writing, she found a new way to embrace her passion. She favors a romance that isn't always easy on the eyes or heart, and loves to see characters grow--characters who are seemingly doomed from the start but find love anyway. Release Blitz: Sacked by Tabitha Vargo

When Sawyer Reed wants something, he gets it.

And I WANT her. She doesn’t know it yet, but she’s already mine.
Her resistance is futile because once I start a play, I always follow through.
And I ALWAYS win. Nothing, not even the deep-seated hate I have for my rival, Jacob Byrd, is going to keep me from my endgame. And my endgame is Gretchen Cole.
But I have to keep my head in the game. Everyone knows what happens to a quarterback when he loses focus. He gets SACKED.

4 Star Review by Jennifer Hagen

There is nothing I like better than a man whore who becomes reformed only to revert back to his old ways when things get too personal or too hard for him to handle.  Spoon feed it to me, slip it through a straw, or make me chew it up but give me that taste one can only get from an angsty read.

“You thought you were something special to me?  You thought a few f*cks and I was falling for you?  Newsflash, I was nice to you because I wanted to f*ck you.  I kept being nice because you’re a good lay, but I got what I wanted.  You’re too much trouble for a little bit of p*ssy.  So we’re done now.  Move.  On.”

Oops.  I guess I should have started from the beginning, but I was just so caught up in those jolt-to-the-heart words.  That was Sawyer, a hot college quarterback, protecting his heart.  Sawyer is a one-night stand only guy.  He is so used to having women falling at his feet he doesn’t ever have to worry about not having a girl on his lap or on her knees.  Sawyer is a good guy.  He may be a little harsh with his words to women and the expected adoration from them, but deep down he just doesn’t want to care about somebody that can be taken away from him.  He knows firsthand what it is like to love and be left behind.  His mom died when he was a teenager.  Not only did he lose his mom, but his best friend moved away when Sawyer needed support the most.

Gretchen and Sawyer have a film literature class together.  It is through this class that a friendship starts, but actually it’s more of a plot on Gretchen’s behalf…

Mission one:  get Sawyer’s attention.  Check.  Now all I had to do was get him to trust me..

Before Gretchen realizes that her plan is not fault-free, she has been pulled into Sawyer’s charm.  Sawyer wants her…Gretchen wants him…then she doesn’t…oh wait, now she does…nope…not gonna happen.  Gretchen’s back and forth desires drove me crazy!  It’s no wonder Sawyer was trying to find a replacement for the way he felt towards her.  There’s only so much rejection a guy like Sawyer can handle.

Gretchen needs to get it together before it’s too late.  Sawyer needs to put his head back in the football game.  Too many players are riding on Sawyer’s skills to lose his focus now.

She sacked me like a defensive player with nothing to lose.  She broke through my defenses and knocked the breath from my lungs, leaving me on my knees in a state of absolute shock.
This was a quick enjoyable read told from dual points of view.  It’s been a while since I’ve come across a good epilogue and I was beaming while reading this epilogue simply because it made me happy.

Pulling away, he looked down at me, a sexy grin on his face. “You’re so fucking sweet, baby,” he whispered. “I bet you taste sweet, too.”
I moaned loudly as he slipped his finger inside the lace covering me and swiped it softly across my throbbing center. Before I could really begin to enjoy it, he pulled his glistening finger out and sucked it between his lips. Seeing him taste my juices turned me on in a way I never imagined and the throbbing intensified.
“Mmmm. Honeysuckle.” He closed his eyes and sucked once more at his finger.
I moved to lean into him, but before I could, he dropped to his knees in front of me. His hands moved up my outer thighs, taking my dress with it, and then he was peeling my boy shorts off. Cold air rushed over my soaked folds as he shuffled them down my thighs to my knees and over my boots. And when I lifted my foot to help him take them off, he smiled to himself.
This was really happening, and I wasn’t sure I could stop it even if I wanted to. I was too far gone. I don’t know if it was the last few weeks of mental foreplay or the alcohol I’d consumed, but the second he slipped his hot tongue between my folds and sucked me, I didn’t care what happened. I only knew he was soothing the throbbing ache.
“Sawyer,” I whispered as my head fell back against the door with a thump. “Ah, God.”
I’d never let anyone in my personal space this way, but damn if I could stop him. The sensations that spread through me as he feasted on my sensitive flesh were beyond amazing. I found myself whining like a little bitch and begging with my moans for him to keep going.
My fingers moved into his hair, holding him to my body. Lifting my leg onto his shoulder, he opened me to him as he continuously licked and sucked, sending my body into a frenzied state.
“Yes. Oh my God, Sawyer, yes. What are you doing to me? I can’t …”
He didn’t answer.
Instead, he pushed a single finger into me and slowly began to work it in and out. My knees began to shake, the door the only thing holding me up, and I panted as the sensation of release slowly began to move over me.
Sliding a second finger into me, he worked back and forth and in and out. His tongue twirling my hardened nub before softly sucking, and I was done.
I exploded.
