RELEASE DAY: OCTOBER 23
Their love burned bright, white hot, and strikingly blue
around the edges.
Some thought them
careless.
Some thought them
crazy.
No one approved.
Taylor Barrett was looking for answers in a universe that
had abandoned him.
Jude Boehler flooded her dark world with charisma and
mystery, drawing everyone into her hurricane.
It was a most captivating of love affairs. They were
shooting stars, meteors in the sky, colliding to create a spectacularly
wonderful reckless romance, leaving them breathless and tethered.
But that’s what Love
does.
Their souls were exposed to the chaos, bare and vulnerable.
Can these two star-crossed lovers survive the madness that is life?

5 Star Review by Jen Skewes
Oh My God!! This book has my emotions all over the place. When I read the blurb I thought this would be a fun sexy read, but I was so wrong. And to be honest I am so glad that I was. This book was nothing of what I expected but I mean that in a really good way. I loved every thing about it. It is different from Ms. Scott's other books but so worth the emotions that you go through. From the main characters love story to the drama, the angst and the suspense. I could not put this book down and when I was done I wished there was more. That is how much I loved this book.
Taylor is the gorgeous man with the impossible hazel
eyes. Judith is the double dipper who
has been under her parents lock and key for some time now, for reasons that I
will not give away. They are both broken
in their own way. When they meet at a
party there is an instant connection.
It’s as if they have known each other for years. They spend one amazing week together, but
when that week it is up Judith disappears and Taylor wonders if he will ever
see her again. When Jude shows up again
they may not have a lot of time to spend together but they both take what they
can get. They take the stolen moments
just so they can be near each other and feel each other. If Jude’s family found out about her
whereabouts she would be ruined. She is
not willing to take that risk where her relationship with Taylor is
concerned. But over time as these two
fall for each other hard, they will have to fight for their love. Her family thinks she is crazy, but Taylor,
knows the truth. When it comes time to
fight will Taylor’s love for Jude win over her family?
There is so much to this story that I do not want to give
away at all. So I am not really going to
go into the plot any more than I already have.
This book has it all, drama,
angst, hurt, pain and two people who undeniably love each other with their
whole heart. I could not put this book
down. From the moment I read the first
page to the very end I was completely submerged in Hazel and Jude’s story. I loved these two so much. They have become one of my favorite
couples. Parts of their story just broke
my heart. To see everything that Jude
has been through in her life will pain you. But she has come this far and is one strong woman. Hazel is battling with his own issues that
will make your heart hurt for him. He has his own secret and is afraid that
Jude will run if he tells her. But the
thing between this beautiful couple is that their love for each other is
unconditional. It doesn’t matter how
broken they are, or what happened in their past. There love is real and they will stand by
each other and love each other no matter what.
I felt so much while reading this book. I felt sad, disgusted, happy, but I also felt
so much love. It felt like Hazel and
Jude had this fairy tale love story but at the same time it was so real. There was this young innocence and
vulnerability about the two of them at times that just made me want to cry for
them. Maybe it was because Jude was
young. Despite everything she went
through she was still a young girl who lived a life without the love and
happiness she deserved. She lived her
life being someone that they wanted her to be instead of the person she
was. When she was with Hazel she was
alive, and carefree. She was the person that she was meant to be. And while Hazel grew up with love he too is broken for his own reasons.
"Jude?"
"Yes?"
"Do you think any less of me now that you know?"
He loved that she didn't hesitate to answer. "I think more of you now that I know."
You read that and you’re heart breaks but at the same time
it makes you smile. You know and
understand where this is all coming from. Hazel feels just as broken as she does. And not having her in his life would crush him. But their love is not just one sided. Hazel loves her in a way that no one ever has. He makes her happy, something she has not
been in a long time. He loves her, wants
to protect her and most of all he believes in her. And that was everything,.
"Do clouds have souls, Hazel?"
"Yes. How else would they hold their sadness in until the next time it rained, jude."
I don’t know why but this is one of my favorite quotes or
moments from this book. I cannot explain why and you will probably have to read it to even understand. I think it shows her
innocence in a way. When we first met Jude she was a bit quirky and you wondered why she was that way. Until you see what she went through and then you begin to understand. I think that what I loved so much about these two is how wise they were but yet how young they were. It was the deep connection that they had but also the sweetness to their
relationship. They knew from the moment
they met how they felt about each other.
And while I am not always a fan of insta-love this never felt like
that. It felt exactly as Hazel said
“Like they knew each othr their whole lives”
This book is beautiful and heart breaking but in the end
will leave you with a huge smile. This
is one of those books that you will devour in one sitting. There were moments where my heart was
pounding and I was nervous to see where the story would go. I wasn’t sure how they would make it
through. There is nothing better than
reading a book and not wanting to put it down.
When this book was over I wished I had time to go back and read it all
over again. That is how much I loved it. It has stuck with me for days. What an amazing job by SL Scott!!!!! A Must read
“Do you want ice cream?”
She hit him with one surprise after another, and he replied, “It’s freezing out here. How about a coffee?”
“I don’t like coffee.”
“Wow, a New Yorker who doesn’t like coffee.” Taking her by the arm, he stopped her. “Are you going to tell me anything about yourself?”
“I just told you I don’t like coffee. That’s something.”
He sighed. “I’m serious, Jude.”
His emotional sigh was wearing on her and she gave him the most honest answer she could. “Not if I can get away with it.”
He looked into her blue eyes. Under a bright fluorescent light of a convenience store, he could see they were tinged in green with champagne centers. They were the most unique eyes he had ever seen. She was the most unique woman he had ever met. Now he felt bad for making her unhappy, so he broke his gaze away. “Fine. I’ll limit my questions.” And just to see her smile again, he said, “Ice cream it is.”
She jumped for joy. “I know a great place a few blocks from here.”
“Should we catch a cab?”
“No, I love the snow. It’s magical.”
Looking down the street and then back to her, he started wondering when he’d stopped seeing magic in the world. He could probably guess, but he didn’t want to think about that time.
A half hour later, his hands were frozen but he still found himself eating pistachio ice cream with Jude for dinner. He bought the treats and joined her at a booth where she was contentedly licking her rocky road. As soon as he sat down, she asked, “I think you can tell everything you need to know about a person by their favorite ice cream flavor.”
