Blog Tour: Room For You by Beth Ehemann

Synopsis

Four years ago, my dreams were shattered in an instant.

I tried to pick up the pieces and glue them back together the best I knew
how, but something was always missing.

A father for my two girls.

But then, Brody Murphy landed on my doorstep, literally. He was a carefree, playful hockey player who barged into my life and messed with my head. He left me more confused than I had ever been.

What if the one thing I thought I needed was the only thing holding me back?

5 star review by Jen Skewes

I cannot begin to tell you how much I loved this book. Room for You has everything that I love in a novel. There was drama, a little bit of angst, a very hot and swoon worthy male and a beautiful love story.

Kacie is a young single mom raising 5 year old twin girls. She lives with her mom and helps her run a bed and breakfast. At one point Kacie thought she had her life all planned out. She thought her future included her two girls and the man she loved. But then life took a turn in a different direction.   The man she loved just left, deciding he just didn't want the life they were living any more. This wasn't the first time in Kacies life where some one she loved and thought she could count on let her down. Kacie's first priority now is her daughters, always putting herself and her happiness last. She doesn't really date, her days are spent taking care of her girls. They at her life and what's most important to her. But there is something missing in. her life and when Brody Murphy literally comes knocking on her door, she finds out exactly what it is that is missing.

Brody Murphy, oh how I loved him. He is just pure perfection and my new book boyfriend. He is the man that every woman wants. He is all alpha male and sexy but also loving, caring, sweet and totally swoon worthy. Plus he is a hockey player which for me makes him even sexier. Brody has the perfect life. A great career doing what he loves the most, he has money and fame and lives a carefree life. The one thing he has never done is relationships. Hockey has always been his life. Yes he has been with woman but not with anyone that was worth having a relationship with. His focus has always been on the game, until he meets Kacie Jensen.

"When I stopped at your inn for the night, my life was normal..my life was hockey.  Nothing important existed outside of the rink; it was all just filler.  Then I met you.  You did something to me, changed me."

Brody was driving home one day when he got caught in a major storm forcing him to turn off the road where he found a little bed and breakfast to stay until the storm passed. Little did he know that when he pulled off to the side of the road, his life would be forever changed. There was something about Kacie that completely drew him in. She had no idea who he was which is one of the many reasons why he loved spending time with her. For both Kacie and Brody things between them just seemed so easy and so right. They felt comfortable with each other, talked with each other as if they had known each other for years. But they came from two different worlds. Kacie is a single mother with two little girls to think about, while Brody lives a somewhat public and carefree life, and travels a lot. But despite how happy he makes her feel Kacie wonders if they can really make it work.

"I went into this trying to be cautious, but Brody has this way of blasting right through my walls and making me feel things that I was never sure I'd feel again."

Brody can't stop thinking about Kacie once he returns home. He's never had these feelings for any woman before. But he knows that there is a part of Kacie is broken. She has been let down in her life before so she has major issues when it comes to trust. She can't help but think that whatever this thing is between her and Brody, is nothing that will last and only leave her with a broken heart in the end. No matter how good things may be going in her life, she is just waiting for the other shoe to drop and for something bad to happen. But Brody knows she has trust issues and is broken, but that doesn't stop him. He wants Kacie like he has never wanted anyone before and he is determined to make her see how much he cares about her. How much she has changed him and how much he wants a life with her and her girls. He wants to show Kacie how to live and be happy. How to jump in the puddles with him. He wants to help her heal.  The question is will Kacie let him in? Will she be ale to trust love enough to give it a second chance?

"He crashed into my life and shook it up like a snowglobe.  I had no idea my life needed him so bad."

Brody and Kacie had such amazing chemistry and were so good together.  They didn't rush their relationship, instead took the time to get to know each other.  There was no denying the physical attraction but they also had a special bond.  Their relationship had it's ups and downs, mostly due to Kacie's issues.  And lets not forget that there may have been a few people who tried to sabotage what they had, and had no problem using Kacie's trust and insecurity issues to do that.  When things started to get complicated and she found herself opening up her heart to Brody she would have a tendency to run.  She would run from the problem before it became a problem to protect herself and her heart.  But Brody never gave up on her or their relationship.  I loved how he fought for how, loved how he cared for her and wanted to make her happy.  I especially loved how he interacted with the Twinkies.  Yes he called her girls Twinkies and it completely melted my heart how much he loved those girls.  Brody may have been a rich hockey player but he had family values.  Kacie was a wonderful heroine.  Yes she had her issues and some decisions just frustrated me but with all that she went through in her life I understood where those decisions came from.

"Life is a sum made up of small parts, Kacie.  Some are good; some are bad.  You and the girls are definitely on of the good.  The best good there is and I'll fight like hell to keep you there."

This is Beth Ehemann's debut novel and she did such amazing job with it.  She created characters that you can relate to and fall in love with.  There was this tender moment between Kacie and Brody when they professed their love for each other that caused some tears to be shed and left me with a smile from ear to ear.  The words and the emotion behind them were just so beautiful.   Room for You is a beautifully written story of finding love when least expected.  Brody and Kacie were both missing something from their lives that they didn't realize they needed or wanted until they found each other.  Their journey together had its ups and downs.  There was just the right amount of drama and angst, some tears were shed and a lot of happy swoon worthy moments that will melt your heart.  I instantly fell in love with Kacie and Brody and I know that you will too.  And Oh my god lets not forget about  the end!  All I can say is that I cannot wait for the next one!

" My heart knew I loved you before my brain did." - Kacie

An amazing job by Beth Ehemann.  Room For You is a must read!

Excerpt

“I didn’t know you’d been seeing anyone?” Viper responded.

“I haven’t, just met her last week when I was stuck up north in that damn storm. I wasn’t even looking for anyone, I was driving along, minding my own business and bam! Now I can’t stop thinking about her.”

Viper was quiet, staring off into space.

I sighed. “Go ahead, asshole. Give me shit about it, I can handle it.”

“I’m not giving you shit, I was just trying to remember if in my whole life, there’s ever been a girl that I couldn’t stop thinking about. There have been girls who I thought about for a night, then forgot them shortly after I fucked them, but thinking about someone for a week? No way. That’s worth fighting for dude.

Season’s over, you have time. Turn the tables, prove her wrong. Then make her beg.”
