4 Star Review by Lisa Kane

Danny (“Spike”) heads up his own MC. He and Cade were close friends years ago, but a bad situation resulted in his pregnant wife, Cheyenne’s death. It devastated both Spike and Cade and made them enemies. Recently, Cade’s fiancĂ© Addison has been able to mend some of the cracks in that relationship.
Spike was once best friends with Ciara. They hung out, he drove her to work on his bike every day and they both held back on their real feelings for each other. Ciara’s sister took one long look at Spike and decided she wanted him and if Ciara wasn’t going for it she was. Spike wasn’t getting anywhere with Ciara and decided why not go for it. Chey liked to play games and make Spike jealous. One night Spike was angry from something with Chey, he comes to Ciara angry. One thing leads to another and they have sex. She’s a virgin and for her this is the best night of her life. Up until some things come out and she thinks Spike did this out of revenge. Ciara left town and didn’t come back. Spike married Chey, she died and Ciara blamed Spike. These two are experts at hurting each other.
“No matter how many times you spit hurtful words at me, or how many times I keep telling myself to walk away, I can’t.
“Running is for people who don’t have the balls to fight,” I whisper, leaning in close to him, breathing in his scent.
“When are you gonna see there’s no point in fightin’ for something that don’t wanna be fought for?”
