Blog Tour: All The Pretty Poses by M. Leighton

He never wanted to be a hero…until she needed him to be.

It took Kennedy Moore years to put her life back together after Reese Spencer shattered it.  But she did.  Now, years later, strong and independent, she is in pursuit of a single dream—to dance with the Altman American Dance Theater.  Unfortunately, Kennedy is learning that a girl from nowhere with no money and no contacts might never be able to reach her goal.

That is, until Reese reappears, offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that Kennedy just can’t refuse.  In exchange for working on his yacht for a few short weeks, he’ll get her an audition with the famous dance troupe.  All Kennedy has to do is keep her head down, work hard and resist Reese.  That sounds easy enough, right?

Reese doesn’t want to make it easy for Kennedy.  Seeing her again has started a fire in his blood—an unwelcome one.  It took him years to forget about her before, so this time he has a plan.  It’s simple:  Get Kennedy on his yacht, seduce her, get her out of his system, move on with his life.  That sounds easy enough, right?

But the one thing Reese didn’t plan for was Kennedy herself—a girl so strong yet so broken, she makes him want to rescue her, to take care of her.  To save her.  Even if he has to save her from himself.

4.5 Amazing Stars by Nicole Lorenzo

Kennedy Moore has spent the last 14 years picking up the pieces of her shattered life and heart.  She has left the memories of the boy who broke her heart in the past and is determined to make her dream of dancing for a famous dance troupe come true. Working at a dance club Kennedy finds freedom in being able to express herself through dance. It’s there dancing on stage that her world gets turned upside down when she comes face to face with Reese Spencer. She never expected to see Reese again, not after he left 14 years ago without so much as a goodbye.

Feeling those aqua eyes on me brought back everything in one mind-numbing rush.
The draw, like gravity.
The desire, like obsession.
The pain, like annihilation.

Seeing Reese again is like a punch in the gut, especially when he offers her a proposition. Reese wants her to dance on his yacht for the summer and then he will get her the audition with the Altman American Dance Theater and make her dreams come true. Knowing she would never be able to get the audition on her own, Kennedy agrees, but vows to herself to keep it professional. She knows that if she loses her heart to Reese Spencer again, she may never get it back. But Reese makes it very clear that he has other plans.
Reese Spencer lives the life of luxury, enjoying life, women and building his empire of clubs and fantasy yachts. He wants for nothing and is perfectly content with his life until he’s looking into the green eyes of a ghost from his past. Seeing Kennedy after all this time sets a fire in Reese he spent years trying to put out. He decides to hire her as a dancer on his yacht, enjoy the summer with her and get her out of his system once and for all. But Kennedy is reluctant to give in to what he knows they both want so much.

“I want to help you, Kennedy. I really do. And I will. But I won’t deny that I want you.” He takes one easy step towards me. “Or that I intend to have you.”

It doesn’t take long for Kennedy to give in to Reese. Despite knowing she is going to wind up with a broken heart, she just can’t deny the fact that she has never stopped loving him. Even though it’s farfetched, part of her wishes he could be her happily ever after.

I’ll love him until there’s nothing left. And then long after. It’s inevitable. He’s inevitable.

As the weeks go by Reese spends every waking moment with Kennedy. Learning a little about her broken past, he realizes that he has played a big part in causing the pain she has endured all these years. His guilt drives him to erase that pain with joy. He pampers her, treats her like a princess and realizes he doesn’t want to let her go. Ever.

“There will never be anything but this, but us. You’re mine Kennedy Moore. All. Mine.”

Money. Power. Lies. Secrets. Deceit. These are the things that have the potential to tear Reese and Kennedy apart for good. Neither of them have been completely honest with each other and when the heartbreaking truth is finally revealed will Reese and Kennedy’s love for each other be strong enough to endure it?

“I can’t let you go. Not again. Not ever again.”

I was so excited to read this book and boy it didn’t disappoint!! Reese and Kennedy’s story is a heartbreaking one that started when they were young lovers 14 years ago. Kennedy endured so much pain and suffering but overcame it to become a strong, beautiful woman with one weakness, Reese Spencer. Reese was a rich, selfish playboy until Kennedy came barreling into his life and made him realize what he has been missing all these years. The chemistry between Kennedy and Reese even after 14 yrs apart is undeniable.  This is an emotional story filled with love, loss, truth, lies and strength. I loved every second of this story and All the Pretty Poses had me captivated from the very first page. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series!

“I’ve loved you from the moment I met you. For fourteen years, I’ve loved you. And I’ll love you for a million more.”
