Review and Giveaway: Sweet Rome and Sweet Home by Tillie Cole

You met Romeo Prince in the Amazon & USA Today bestselling novel, Sweet Home. Now hear the story from his lips: unbarred, uncensored and raw to the bone.

It makes me laugh when I hear that folk think Mol and I rushed into it too fast, spouting that we couldn't possibly have felt what we did for each other in such a short space of time. I say, how the hell would they know? We made it, didn't we? She became my whole life, didn't she? And as for my folks not being real, being true? Tell that to me aged ten, eleven, twelve — damn, all my bastard life — when I was never enough, when I was beaten until I bled for being too good at football and not being everything they'd dreamed: the perfectly dutiful son. Tell that to thousands of kids around the world getting wailed on by asshole parents for whatever stupid reason; tell them that evil don't exist in their eyes.

Fuck Romeo and Juliet: this is the story of me and my girl, from my lips. No mushy sentiment, no cheese, just the plain, hard truth, and, because I'm feeling generous, I'm going to let you in on more of our story too.

Sweet Rome is a New Adult Companion Novel to Sweet Home — contains adult content, sexual situations and mature topics. Suited for ages 18 and up.

5 Fantastic Stars

Review by Amy Bustard

5 plus stars for Tillie Cole! I absolutely loved this book-the companion novel to Sweet Home.

Molly "Juliet" and Romeo Prince are just two characters I truly love. This book is Rome's POV and I gotta say- I loved it. I really don't care for sequels that start from the beginning and repeat the story in the males POV but this was excellent. Being inside Romeos head and learning his thoughts when it came to his life and feelings for Molly was a real treat. Not only did you see the other side of this love story, you fall deeper for this couple. I loved the continuance of the story from where Sweet Home left off and the epilogue was a real treat.. Truly the best!

At age twenty, Molly Shakespeare knows a lot.

She knows Descartes and Kant.

She knows academia and Oxford.

She knows that the people who love you leave you.

She knows how to be alone.

But when Molly leaves England's grey skies behind to start a new life at the University of Alabama, she finds that she has a lot to learn — she didn't know a summer could be so hot, she didn't know students could be so intimidating, and she certainly didn't know just how much the folks of Alabama love their football.

When a chance encounter with notorious star quarterback, Romeo Prince, leaves her unable to think of anything but his chocolate-brown eyes, dirty-blond hair and perfect physique, Molly soon realises that her quiet, solitary life is about to dramatically change forever...

Mature New Adult novel — contains adult content, highly sexual situations and mature topics. Suited for ages 18 and up.

5 Star Review by Amy Bustard

Oh good lord.. If you loved Beautiful Disaster you with Love Sweet Home..

Romeo  “Rome” Prince- star quarterback for the Crimson Tide, is not the committing type.

Wam, bam, thank you ma’am- I won’t be calling you again, bad boy with anger issues.
Already on route to be the 1st draft pick for the NFL, Romeo’s parents have an entire different path mapped out for him. Including an arranged marriage to the worst b**tch ever, Shelly. The plan is for Romeo and Shelly to marry, the family businesses to merge and for Romeo to give up his life of football and run the family business. This is not the life Romeo wants, especially when he crosses paths with Molly.

Molly Juliet Shakespeare- The brainy British girl who moved to Alabama from England to study for her Master’s degree in philosophy and work as a research assistant and TA for Professor Ross. Molly plans to further her education and move on the get her PhD to become a Professor. Losing all of her family at a very young age and growing up in poverty and foster homes, Molly’s friends and roommates talk her into Pledge for a sorority in order for her friend to make the cheerleading squad. Little does Molly know her worst nightmare, Shelly, the Bi**h that taunts her is the president setting her up to fail the final initiation by setting Molly up with a dirty smelly frat brother. The task was to kiss a Greek frat brother-with tongue- and to identify the food that they had just eaten. Once the task was completed and the correct taste was identified- the pledges would that become members of the Delta Epsilon Nu Omega.

We did as commanded, and after a few minutes, I heard the door click open and several pairs of feet shuffle into the room. I sensed someone stand before me and nearly puked at the stench. He had liquor and strong putrid body odor humming out of his pores.

Disgusting.

Time seemed to still as my turn approached. The frat guy smelled…bad. But I’d do it for Lexi.

A light tap on my back signaled it was my turn. I braced myself and leaned forward, only to feel a rush of air pass my head and a loud crash come from the side, male laughter echoing around me.

“Move, Macmillian. I think you’re in my spot,” a voice drawled.
“Ah n-no.. B-b-bullet! Shelly said.. said..” Macmillian slurred from the direction of the floor, semi-coherently.

“I don’t give a shit what she said. Go get a f**kin’ drink, or pass out or somethin’. You get me?” The menace in this ‘Bullet’ guy’s voice was unmistakable.

“I-I- get you. I get you man.”

I had no clue what was going on or who would be fighting over kissing me. This day kept getting weirder and weirder by the second.
“Wait! Mac has to-“ Shelly shouted.

“Shut the F**k up, Shel.” His tone left no room for argument, and Shelly fell silent.

I was busy chewing on my thumbnail- a nervous habit I adopt in uncomfortable situations-when the new frat guy moved before me, smelling deliciously better than the previous person-summer, soap and mint. It was familiar. Comforting. Enticing.

AND WOW!! The Kiss! I’m Not about to spoil this kiss!!!

“Hey Mol, “ he rasped, all the time glancing from my eyes to my swollen lips and back again.
“Hey, you..” I whispered back, unable to find words in my frazzled brain.

And this is where that Sweet Kiss between Romeo and Molly “Juliet” begins…but like Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet there things didn’t end on good..

Rome leaned in once more, like gravity pulled us in, and my chin instinctively tilted in response. Shelly reached for Rome’s arm, jerking him back several feet, but still, he did not break our strange little staring contest.

“Hey!” she screamed sharply and slapped his cheek with considerable force. That got his attention and earned gasps of shock from everyone in the room.

“Leave this house immediately, you...you..slut!”

“She’s not meant to kiss him! He’s ment to be mine!” Shelly screamed to her sorority sisters, who just regarded her with varied looks of indifference.

“I’ll think you’ll find that he kissed her… twice,” announced a gorgeous brunette who winked at me.

Molly and Rome have many challenges and issues to overcome.; coming from two different worlds, a crazy wannabe fiance , parents that want one thing while their young “Prince” wants the other-one innocent girl who believes everyone she loves is only going to leave her. When things are good- they are good. When things are bad.. they are BAD..

This beautiful story had so many sweet moments, sad Moments and WTF moments.
couldn't stop my head from spinning wondering what was going to happen next; I felt my heart race in moments and my heart break at times.

One of the best I've read this year! FIVE SWEET STARS!
