Underestimated Too begins six months after the end of Underestimated. At the end of Underestimated I was completely enthralled by the changes Drew made in himself. At the end of the first page in Underestimated Too I was questioning my morals. I loved Drew, but this wasn’t who I wanted to love. I knew that Jettie was going to be writing Drew’s POV and I was excited to hear his thoughts on how the events progressed. What we get in Underestimated Too is a wonderful blend of past and present. Drew is the narrator of the past events and he is an excellent storyteller with a photographic memory, leaving no detail out.
In Underestimated Too, all our questions about Drew are answered. We find out everything about his family, the demons that haunt the home he and Morgan reside in, how he was in love with Skylar and his plans for their future, and the events that turned him into the man he is. I’m sure you have already made presumptions that his past is not pretty. I justified his behavior on past events, even though I knew in my mind I should not be so forgiving towards him. I could not stop feeling the hurt and betrayal he faced at a young age and how it effected him as he grew into an adult and lover.
Drew continues to be in control of their relationship and Morgan is fine with this. It’s how they work. They are a happy family with baby Nicholas. But every now and then the Drew that we thought was long buried underneath all his love for Morgan surfaces.
I was scared. I hadn’t seen Drew like this in a very long time. He wasn’t Drew at all. He was out of control.
I hated Drew and the person he reverted back to, but yet I still loved him. I really wondered how I could have fallen in love with him and continued to love him. A leopard never changes his spots, right? Morgan and I shared the same thoughts when it came to loving Drew…
No other woman in their right mind would love Drew after doing the things he had done. I love him. I loved him more than anything. Maybe I was sick too, it wasn’t right. I shouldn’t love him.
There is no doubt that Drew loves Morgan. His biggest fear is that Morgan will leave him. He controls her and watches her because in his mind this will not allow her the opportunity to walk away. But he of all people should know that Morgan is a strong-willed person capable of hiding her own secrets and not to underestimate her.
I had two choices. I could keep on loving this Drew, and never hold him accountable for his actions, or I could move on.
Drew and Morgan have a unique relationship that isn’t for everybody. So many times I questioned what my morals were because in my head I knew that I would never be in a relationship like theirs, but yet I still loved Drew and justified his actions on more than one occasion. Jettie is a master at making me love the bad guy, turning him into a person who is worthy of love despite any actions that should warrant otherwise. When the last page of Drew and Morgan’s story is over, I still love Drew as he once again redeemed himself.
“I’m an imperfect man, and I’ve made my wife an imperfect woman. We’re just two imperfect people who refuse to give up on each other. She will forever be my always.”
“You coming soon? The photographer will be here any minute. Do you really want me to dress Nicholas for this?”
“No way, we’re leaving now… Drew?”
“Yeah.”
“The moving guys left two boxes of papers here for me. Should I bring them home for you?”
“No, I’ll send Celeste after them tomorrow. Come home. Nicky will be awake soon.”
“Okay, but you just called him Nicky again.”
“You don’t have to point it out every time I do it.”
“Yes I do. I’ll see you in a few. I have to run Alicia home first.”
“You should stop and get us some beer. We’ll float around the pool naked after Marta leaves and NICHOLAS goes to bed.”
Writing is more than a passion for me. I write adult books, romance and erotica. I did recently try my hand at a young adult romance, but because of the gutter that my mind seems to fall into. It quickly went into rated R mode. I reside in Ohio. I love living in Ohio, except maybe the cold winters, and the snow, well maybe the hot summers too. Ah hell, I hate Ohio.
I love to push my limits in writing, fuel the senses and emotions of my readers. I have some great supporters and love them all dearly.
