Blog Tour: Deciding Tomorrow by Renee Ericson

What if a love, once lost, came around for a second chance?

After a fated meeting with the one person who captured her heart many years ago, Ruby Miller is taking a leap of faith, right into the arms of her past.

Four years have gone by since the tragedy that tore Ruby and Brent apart, setting them on different paths, battered and searching. Now, this couple divided by time and distance will have to fight for their love to survive in the present, as they try to deal with their past and the decisions that made them who they are today.

Is their love worth it? The same love they gave up on once before?

Can they put everything aside to see what's left of what they once shared?

Following their hearts, their minds, and Deciding Tomorrow.

5 Star Review by Jen Skewes

Deciding Tomorrow is the final installment in the These Days series and it was fantastic.  I honestly missed these two characters so much.  When we first met them we fell in love with them and watched their teenage romance grow.  But then we saw the sad circumstances that threatened the love that they had and how much it had an affect on their relationship. Deciding Tomorrow is Brent and Ruby's second chance at love and happiness with each other.

Deciding Tomorrow begins right where we left off.  After five years of being a part fate has intervened and brought Brent and Ruby back together.  Some may call it a coincidence but I believe in fate and so do Ruby and Brent.  Seeing each other again brings the feelings of love that they had for each other and they both realize how much they missed each other.  How happy they both were and most importantly makes them realize how much they never want to let go again. But this time around there is another obstacle in there way and that is distance.  They live in two different states and giving up their dreams to be with each other isn't fair to either one of them.  So how do they make it work?

I love Brent and Ruby so much. They are such the perfect couple. When we first met them their love was that adorable high school pitter patter love.  You know the one where you see the person and your hearts starts to beat faster, the butterflies in your stomach kind of live.  The one we all want to experience in our life. Brent and Ruby had that.  But unfortunately that love fell apart when things started to take a turn in the wrong direction leaving them both lost, devastated and broken hearted.  But even now with all that has happened between them, with five years apart, their love for each other is still deeper than any love they have ever felt.   You feel how strong and how deep they love each other. The need and the want they they feel for each other. It is a love that is so intense and so real.  They both messed up once and now they have a second chance at that once in a lifetime love.  And I really believe that what they have together is just that.  No one has ever compared to the love that they have.  Over the years, even if not together their hearts always belonged to each other.

I cannot stress how much I love this book and how much you feel with this book.  Ruby and Brent had their ups and downs and one of them being distance. But it was their love, their need and their want that gives them reason to fight for each other.  That no matter what was between them they would make it work.  (Sigh). I just loved these two and was sad to see their story end.  I felt like we went through so much with this couple. We were there for the firsts between them, the heartache and pain that they both endured and now their second chance.  I wanted nothing more than to see them get their HEA.  They deserved it.
Such a beautiful ending to an amazing series.

And as a side note I absolutely loved Cody and Savannah.  Cody has matured so much since we first met him and seeing how much he love and wanted to protect Ruby just made me love him.

EXCERPT

“Give that back,” I playfully snap, trying to snatch my stolen utensil. My attempts are useless, so I settle my hip against the counter again, crossing my arms. “Does my idea of romance scare you?”
“Just a little.” He tosses my spoon behind him and into the sink. “In an obsessively adorable way.”
“Adorable?”
“That’s what I said,” he taunts, taking another bite of ice cream.
“Not sexy?”
“Maybe if you did it in lace underwear. You have any of those?”
Stepping closer, I eliminate some of the physical space between our bodies. God, he smells so good.
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” I ask, my voice seductively low.
“I might be interested.”
Another bite disappears between his lips. My chest expands as I inhale. The longing for his mouth as well as the ice cream escalates.
“Are you going to keep taunting me with that?” I play pout.
“What? This?” He lifts the empty utensil. “Or this?” He intentionally licks his lips, tempting me further.
“You’re mean.”
He chuckles, dips his spoon into the creamy green-and-black dessert, and then gestures the tasty sweet bite in my direction. I give him an apprehensive look, not trusting his generosity. This feels like a trick.
He raises the spoonful higher, and the ice cream’s coolness radiates, tingling the warmth of my lips. Measuring whether he’s playing a game or not, I tentatively open my mouth, and the tiny morsel on the spoon chills my tongue.
Brent sets the utensil on the counter and then gently presses his thumb against my icy lips, drawing a line along their shape. I shiver internally, and it’s not from the ice cream.
“Are you still teasing me?” I ask against his touch.
“I’ll let you figure that out.”
