4 Stellar Stars!

Review by Allison East

I will always be a huge fan of Melody Grace, I love her Beachwood Bay series, and this one about the Callahans is uber steamy and sexy. I read the prequel Unrequited and wanted more of Alicia and Dex, and the good thing about Melody is, that she delivered and I didn't have to wait too long!

Uninhibited takes place a few months after the prequel Unrequited ends. Alicia hasn't taken Dex up on his offer of a week of hot sex. Her life is boring, and she starts to become overwhelmed with it all. She jumps right in head first and calls Dex, and he has been waiting for her response this whole time.

Alicia was a fun heroine, despite the fact she was a little prudish to begin with and total hung up one someone who was never going to leave the person he was with. But, I saw her changing and evolving, and isn't that what romance novels are supposed to include- a growing character plot? Loved that. In the week she was with Dex, it was like her little closed off world did not exist- only Dex mattered.

"When I'm with you, there's no room for anything else. You're all I can think about."

Dex, the wounded rock star, has lost a friend. He thought he didn't deserve to make music after that happened- and if Dex helped Alicia, she helped him just as much. He knew he had to deal with the past, but it was something he couldn't do alone. And Alicia was the one to help him through it.

After the week though, it became crystal clear that it wasn't just an act- they really cared for one another. They had gotten under one another's skin- and as wonderful and sweet as it was- it was also really racy! Then the sweet, sticky love got to me too- both of them fell, and hard. And it was so believably written, I forgot that they had just met.

From the moment I saw her, I knew she could save me from the darkness. My angel, full of sweetness and passion and wild, reckless hope. Every moment we've spent together has been a miracle, discovering her, knowing her. Loving her.

Dex's sister, Tegan, is going to get her book next- don't forget to read the teaser chapter at the end, it will definitely hook you in, and make you want to read the next one in this series.

Uninhibited was a great start to a new part of the Beachwood Bay series. It's got it all- good plot, strong characters, not too short or long, and totally hot chemistry. Become a Melody Grace fan and you won't regret it!
