I really enjoyed this book which is really no surprise because I have read most of Louise Bay’s books and loved all of them.  I could not wait to dive into this one a find out all there was to know about King of Wall Street. 

Max is a very smart, arrogant business man who is good at what he does.  But outside of the office he is a single dad who loves and would do anything for his daughter.  He has managed to keep his business life and his personal life completely separate.  He doesn’t really date because his life is his daughter and work. He works his ass off to get where he is today and to give his daughter the world.  When junior researcher Harper Jayne starts working for his company she throws his world completely off it’s axis.

Harper is a recent college graduate whose goal has been to work for Max King.  She has finally landed her dream job but it is not all that she expected it to be.  For one Max King is a complete arrogant ass who upon her first meeting of him she decieds that she hates him.  But what she soon finds out is that the man who is her boss is a completely different person in the world outside of Wall Street.  She has yet to see it but while Max King may be an ass to her at work he is a man with a heart of gold who helps the people that mean the most to him. 

Harper Jayne is smart, beautiful and completely infuriating but for some reason Max King cannot stop thinking about her.  He has tried to stay away but he just can’t do it.  Things start to heat up between them and that find themselves crossing that line.  But once they cross it there is no going back.  Regardless of how they feel for each other, Max is still her boss.  Can they make this work?  Can they really keep their personal relationship separate from their work relationship?

What I loved about this story was of course Max and Harper.  They had such amazing chemistry together.  Harper was a little judgemental at first but once you really get to know Max King you see that this man is so different from the cold and arrogant man that she first met.  Especially when it comes to his daughter, he is a complete ball of mush.  And that is what I loved about him.  We get to see him with his daughter as well as the two other important women in his life, his sisters.  This man was hot and sexy, sweet and caring with a huge heart.  Completely swoon worthy.

Harper was a great heroine all though at times I think she got in her own head.  At times she could turn a situation into something that it wasn’t which would end up causing some conflict.  But she was fun and sassy and I loved her. 

I loved everything about this book.  I always enjoy anything that Ms. Bay writes and this one was no different.  There was not a ton of angst at all but it didn’t need it.  Once you start you find yourself completely engrossed in their world and you don’t want it to end.  Another wonderful job by Ms. Bay.
