Review: Playmate by Kendall Ryan

His best friend's little sister is all grown up … and ready to play in a whole new way.

Smith Hamilton has it all—he's smart, good-looking and loaded. But he remembers a time when he had nothing and no one, so he's not about to mess up, especially with his best friend’s little sister. That means keeping Evie at arm's length … even though the once pesky little girl is now a buxom bombshell. A sexy blonde who pushes his self-control to the limit the night she crawls into bed with him.

Evie Reed knows she's blessed—with an exclusive education, a family who loves her, and a new job managing social media for her family's lingerie company. But she wants more, like a reason to wear the sexy lingerie herself. She has just the man in mind to help with that. She's crushed on Smith forever. Surely tricking her way into his bed will force him to see her in a new, adult way.

Except that when Evie's plan leads to disaster, she and Smith must decide—ignore the attraction sizzling between them, or become play mates and risk it all.

Don't miss this sexy friends-to-lovers romp—get your copy of The Play Mate today! This is book 2 in the Roommates series from NY Times bestseller Kendall Ryan, but each book can be read as a complete standalone as they all feature brand new couples to fall in love with.

Review by Lisa Kane

Evie Reed wants Smith Hamilton...badly. She's determined that her big brother Cullen's best friend will be hers. At least for a night anyway.

Smith Hamilton was my older brother's best friend. And come tomorrow night, he wouldn't know what hit him.

Both will be in Paris at the same time to meet with Cullen. The family's lingerie business is running into some problems and Smith has offered to help. Only Evie wants help of a different kind from him. Smith is not exactly immune to Evie's charms, but she is Cullen's sister and that makes her off limits.
Smith spent his younger years in foster care until he was adopted. His longing for a family molded him into the man he is. Cullen and Evie have always been his family and nothing, not even his dick, is going to mess that up for him.

She was seven years younger than us, but that never stopped her from wanting to be in our way, all the time.

He just has to get through this short visit and then he can go home and forget all about her.

But Evie has a plan.

Unfortunately, that plan doesn't exactly go the way it was supposed to. Smith is not about to let Evie forget what almost happened, but even he isn't prepared for the bombshell Cullen drops on them.

Seeing Evie all day, every day?
I sure as hell wasn't laughing anymore. This woman was going to be the death of me.

They can both tell themselves that things can go back to normal for them, but who are they kidding?

Lightening. That's what it felt like, kissing Evie.

Guilt makes people do stupid things and hiding things from Cullen is just stupid. I never know why two people who are adults care what someone else thinks-so much so that they go to extreme measures to hide what is going on.

Will Cullen find out? Is this just a fling or are there real feelings involved?

"This is it for me. She's the one. "
