Teaser

I stand there, nervously tugging at the hem of my top when he stands and walks toward me. Pressing his body flush against mine, grabbing my hips he whispers, “Miss me already?” He’s so close I have to tilt my head to look up at him. Timidly, I slide my hands up his bare chest and around the back of his neck. With piercing eyes he stands staring down at me intently. My breathing is shallow, and nerves swarm in my belly as I gently pull him down to me.

Looking up at him, I close my eyes as he presses his lips to mine. Slowly he moves his lips back and forth across mine. His tongue finds the smallest opening and urges my lips apart, and his kiss becomes more intimate. I gasp as he alternates between light, gentle and intense, deep kisses. My legs shake slightly as my body is overcome by the intensity of this moment. We are both breathing erratically when he drags his lips away from mine.

“I should go,” I say in a hush.

Pressing one last kiss to my lips he whispers, “I don’t want you to.” I reach behind me grasping the doorknob, “I know, but I need too.” I slip out of Gabe’s room and cross the hallway back to mine.

EXCERPT

Turning in his arms to face him, I took in his softly sleeping face. His mouth was slightly open and his long dark lashes relaxed against his high cheekbones. Running a finger down the side of his face earned me a deep husky moan. It was the sexiest thing I’d ever heard. His facial hair felt like warm velvet against my cheek as I leaned in and pressed a tiny kiss on the corner of his mouth.

I backed away, expecting to continue to watch him sleep, but he followed me up with his eyes still closed and started to kiss me. Again he moaned when I allowed him access and he slipped his tongue into my mouth. Flipping me onto my back, his naked body covered mine. The white sheet tangled around our bodies as he pressed himself to mine.

His hand worked its way up my side brushing against my breast and I released a tiny sound into his mouth. His hand continued its journey until he rested it against the side of my neck. Tattooed fingers dug into the hairs on the back of my neck as he invaded my mouth with Zeke sweetness.

Pulling away, he gazed down at me with sleepy eyes and a lazy grin.

“You woke us up.” His voice was rough with sleep.

I wrapped my arms around his neck, “Us?”

Looking down between our bodies, he looked back up at me with a smile as he pressed his hips into mine. Hard heat that pushed into my thigh and I lifted my hips for more. He smiled down at me and shifted the hair out of his eyes.

“Yes… us. I’m okay in the morning, but the prick downstairs will take a jab at you if you wake him up.

 Synopsis

Billionaire Archer Bancroft always gets what he wants—and he’s wanted Ivy Emerson, his best friend’s sister, for far too long. Being forbidden and untouchable only makes her more tempting. When a million-dollar bet with his friends throws down a challenge—last bachelor standing takes all—Archer knows he can win. That is, until one enchanted evening with Ivy takes his heart for a ride.

Ivy knows Archer is nothing but bad news: Infuriating, arrogant…and completely intoxicating. But despite her best efforts, she can’t seem to keep away. When a stolen kiss leads to a night of heated passion, Ivy realizes she’s in trouble and in head over heels.

But in the light of day, everything seems clearer and Archer’s not so sure a one-night stand is all he wants. Concocting a plan to keep Ivy by his side, Archer might just be willing to lose this bet…and win the jackpot instead.

Excerpt

Ivy
“What is this?” I take the wadded up fabric from his hand, our fingers accidentally brushing and heat rushes through me at first contact.
“One of my T-shirts.” He shrugs those broad shoulders, which are still encased in fine white cotton. “I know you didn’t have anything to wear to…bed. Thought I could offer you this.”
His eyes darkened at the word bed and my knees wobble. Good lord, what this man is doing to me is so completely foreign, I’m not quite sure how to react.
“Um, thanks. I appreciate it.” The T-shirt is soft, the fabric thin, as if it’s been worn plenty of times, and I have the sudden urge to hold it to my nose and inhale. See if I can somehow smell his scent lingering in the fabric.
The man is clearly turning me into a freak of epic proportions.
“You’re welcome.” He leans his tall body against the doorframe, looking sleepy and rumpled and way too sexy for words. I want to grab his hand and yank him into my room.
Wait, no I don’t. That’s a bad, terrible idea.
Liar.
“Is that all then?” I ask because we don’t need to be standing here having this conversation. First, my brother could find us and start in again on what a mistake we are. Second, I’m growing increasingly uncomfortable with the fact that I’m completely naked beneath the robe. Third, I’m still contemplating shedding the robe and showing Archer just how naked I am.
“Yeah. Guess so.” His voice is rough and he pushes away from the doorframe. “Well. Good night.”
“Good night,” I whisper but I don’t shut the door. I don’t move.
Neither does he.
“Ivy…” His voice trails off and he clears his throat, looking uncomfortable. Which is hot. Oh my God, everything he does is hot and I decide to give in to my impulses because screw it.
I want him.
Archer
Like an idiot, I can’t come up with anything to say. It’s like my throat is clogged and I can hardly force a sound out, what with Ivy standing before me, her long, wavy dark hair tumbling past her shoulders, her slender body engulfed in the thick white robe I keep for guests. The very same type of robe we provide at Hush.
But then she does something so surprising, so amazingly awesome I’m momentarily dumbfounded by the sight.
Her slender hands go for the belt of the robe and she undoes it quickly, the fabric parting, revealing bare skin. Completely bare skin.
Holy shit. She’s naked. And she just dumped the robe onto the ground so she’s standing in front of me. Again, I must stress, naked.
My mouth drops open, a rough sound coming from low in my throat. Damn, she’s gorgeous. All long legs and curvy waist and hips and full breasts topped with pretty pink nipples. I’m completely entranced for a long, agonizing moment. All I can do is gape at her.
“Well, are you just going to stand there and wait for my brother to come back out and find us like this or are you going to come inside my room?”

About the Author

I've always been a lover of writing, but mostly dabbled in creating poetry while raising my three beautiful children. I am grateful my husband of fifteen years has supported me—albeit sometimes kicking and screaming—as I pursue this "hobby" of mine. Without his help, writing would be an impossible endeavor.

In late June 2012, I felt an urgent tug of my pen, and I began writing one of my first novels, Collide. Although I thought it might never see the light of day, it gave me the courage to plunge headfirst onto a path I had never considered before.

Teaser:

Chapter 7 – Claire

“I’ve been dreaming about this all week,” I murmur into his mouth.

His hand slides under my knees and he scoops me up in his arms as he stands from the
chair and carries me to my bed. He sets me down gently, our lips never losing contact as I
reach for the waistband of his jeans and pull him on top of me. Right away, my body begins
to tremble with my need for him.

“Are you okay?” he whispers as he kisses my neck and I nod hastily. “Good ‘cause I’m
about to wreck you.”

He spreads my legs open and I lift my hips as he grinds into me.

I moan softly. “Please take this off,” I beg as I yank his shirt up.

He chuckles as he pulls his shirt over his head and gazes down at me with that sexy
smile that makes me ache for him. His body is so perfectly smooth and muscular. I reach up
and touch the tattoo on his chest, the compass filled with waves, and he grabs my hand. He
kisses the inside of my wrist then lays my hand down at my side. His hands slide over my
belly then under my lower back. He lifts me up so my back is arched and plants a soft kiss
just above my belly button. The smile in his eyes as he looks up at me makes my chest heave
with anticipation.

His fingers whisper over my skin and I sigh as they land on the button of my jeans. He
takes his time undoing the button and I feel body growing hungrier and more impatient by
the second.

“What do you want me to do to you?” he asks as he drags the zipper down and lays a
soft kiss on abdomen.

I hate when he asks me this. I get so flustered when I talk about this stuff.

I swallow my nerves then answer. “I want you to make me… scream your name.”

I whisper the last three words and he laughs softly. “You’re so fucking adorable. Do
you need a joke to relax?”

He grabs the waistband of my jeans and I lift my hips so he can slide them down,
taking my panties with them. “Yes, please.”

“This one’s going to be dirty,” he says as he tosses my jeans and panties onto the floor
and kisses my hipbone. “First, take off your shirt. I want to look at you.”

I tear off my shirt and slip out of my bra then lie back as he sits up on his knees to look
at me. It’s a testament to how comfortable I feel with Adam that I don’t even flinch at the
fact that the lights are on. Adam has never made me feel anything other than completely
beautiful.

His eyes take in every inch of me, his gaze skimming over ever valley and curve before
landing squarely on my face. “I’ll save the joke for later.”

He slides two fingers inside me and I close my eyes as I hold my breath. His fingers
slide in and out of me as his thumb massages my clit.

“Oh, my God,” I breathe as I roll my hips against the motion of his hand.

     “Look at me.”

I shake my head as the pleasure builds inside me and he laughs. “Come on, baby. I
want to see your eyes.”

I open my eyes and he smiles as he slides his fingers out of me right before I come.

     “That’s not fair,” I protest.

He ignores my grumbling as he lies on top of me and kisses me hard. I’m breathless,
lost under the weight of his body and the power of his kiss. Then he starts to move down,
laying a soft trail of kisses straight down the middle of my torso until he reaches my center.

I gasp as soon as his tongue touches me. “Adam.” He lets out a soft grunt as a reply.
“Don’t stop.” I try not to writhe away from him as the warmth builds inside me, spreading
out from my core in furious waves. “Adam!”

“Say it louder,” he says, and the sensation of his breath and the vibration of his voice
send chills through me.

As the orgasm reverberates through my body, a cry of euphoria explodes from my lips.
“Adam!”

I hear a soft chuckle as he finishes me off with another lick and a soft kiss. My body
trembles as he kisses each of my breasts then sits up. He takes off his jeans and I attempt to
recover as he slides a condom on.

“Sweeter than sugar,” he says, as he lies on top of me, resting his elbows on either side
of my head, and kisses me.

I rake my nails softly over his ribs and he twitches between my legs. He kisses me
slowly, taking his time, drawing out the moment until I finally clutch fistfuls of his hair and
pull his face back. I don’t say anything. He knows what I want from the hunger in my eyes.

He eases himself into me and I wrap my legs around his hips to coax him farther inside.
I draw in a sharp breath as he hits my core and a spark of pain ignites the fire inside me.

He watches every change in my face as he moves rhythmically in and out of me. “Are
you okay?” I nod and he kisses my forehead then goes back to gazing into my eyes. “I love
you, Claire.”

     “I love you, Adam.”

He presses his lips to mine and I know, from that one look and the way he’s kissing me
so tenderly, that there’s something he’s not telling me.

Cover reveal: Fractured Souls by Jessica Sorensen

Expected release: June 2013

Summary

Gemma thought she had said her good-byes and had felt every possible emotion she could before her soul was detached again. Deep down inside, she hoped she’d never wake up from it because, in her eyes, life without emotion and memories isn’t worth living.

But she does wake up and discovers she can still feel and remember everything she experienced over the last few months. Alex is also telling her that everything’s okay, that he didn’t betray her, and that what she thought happened really didn’t.

Gemma isn’t sure if she can trust Alex, so she tries to keep her distance from him, even though the electric connection and her desire make it nearly impossible. The only person she can trust is Laylen, but even that becomes complicated when the lines of their friendship begin to blur.

While Gemma struggles with her emotions and relationships, she searches for her mother, entering a dangerous world of secrets, seduction, and evil. The further she digs into her mother’s secrets and past, the more she wonders what waits for her at the end of her search and if maybe some things are better left in the dark.

Here is a little teaser from Laylen's POV

Laylen

Vladislav strikes a match on the table and then puts the flame to the end of
the cigar that’s in his mouth. He lights the end and then takes a deep
inhale, puffing on it, before exhaling. “I want one thing in exchange for the
information you’re asking me for.” He shakes the match until the flame goes
out and then he flicks it onto the table.

Gemma squirms and I hear her pulse accelerate and skip a beat. I don’t
know why I do it, but for some reason I take her hand and hold it
underneath the table. The gesture seems to calm her, but it has the
opposite effect on me and the need to bring my fangs out is overwhelming.
usually have more control than this but there’s something about her—or
maybe it’s just this place—that’s making my hunger a bit more ravenous.

“What do you want?” I ask Vladislav and tense when Gemma digs her
fingers into my wrist. The whole damn room smells like blood and sweat.
It’s venomous, intoxicating and my mouth is starting to salivate.

He smiles, giving us both a full view of his fangs. “How about a little fun in exchange for what you ask?”

“Fun,” I say warily, cocking my eyebrow. “I highly doubt that, at least not fun for us.”

He holds the cigar between his fingers as he leans back in the chair.
“But it’ll be fun for me.” He props his boot up on his knee and takes another
puff from the cigar, blowing out a cloud of smoke. “You bite the girl and I’ll
give you the information.”

I stiffen and Gemma’s breath catches in her throat, her hand clutching
onto mine as her pulse accelerates. “No way,” I say, but it takes a lot of
effort. I can already feel my fangs stabbing at my gums, wanting to come
out, just by the mention of drinking her blood.

Vladislav shrugs nonchalantly, the corners of his lips tugging upward
into a smile. “Then no deal.” He taps the end of his cigar and ashes fall to
the floor.

I glance around the room at the vampires watching us, some feeding off
humans, others dazed from their recent blood feast. Is this what I’ll
become? Or am I already one of them?

“He’ll do it,” Gemma says suddenly from beside me. She removes her
hand from mine and places her arm on top of the table. Her skin is pale in
the inadequate light and I can see the lines of her veins, violently pumping
blood through her body, making her heart rate increase.

It’s all I can think about—all I can see. My eyes start to shut and my
lips part as my fangs slip out. The urge to bite her begins to consume me
and I know I'm going to lose control.

A teaser from the upcoming Irreparably Broken by KJ Bell

Synopsis:
Sometimes outward appearances do not always represent reality…

That’s what twenty-year old Tori discovers when she moves in with her best friend Liv for the summer. Liv’s older brother Brady is everything Tori knows is wrong for her, yet he invokes feelings deep in her soul that she’s never felt with anyone else. When the two eventually succumb to their irrefutable feelings, Tori realizes Brady is not the same confident guy she’s secretly loved for years. Tori desperately wants Brady to confide in her, but he refuses to talk about the secrets that have drastically changed his life.

Turning to the one person that always makes her laugh, she begins spending time with Liv and Brady’s younger brother Tug. While the two spend more and more time together, Tori wonders if her feelings for Tug run deeper than the “just buddies” status they’ve always shared. As she begins to explore her feelings, the conflict between brothers she’d hoped to avoid erupts. She knows she has to choose.

When Brady finally reveals his secrets, Tori makes her decision; one that may leave them all Irreparably Broken.

Teaser:

Ripping my arm from Brady’s strong grip, I whirl around glaring at him crossly. “What the fuck was that about Brady? Jesus Christ, I think you broke his nose.”
Brady throws his hands up, letting out an irate blast of air. “Fortunately for him that’s all I did. That dirty bastard should be thanking me for not killing him.” Casting his eyes over me, I look up at him and see how insanely pissed he is. “Don’t you know better than to take drinks from strange men in bars, Tori?” His voice sounds overly concerned for someone who doesn’t give a crap about me.
Guh! I did know that. Goddammit! My head is swimming in alcohol, clouded and confused. I haven’t been thinking clearly. Opening my mouth, I taste the rain before I speak. “Yes, of course I know that. I wasn’t going to drink it.”
I’m lying and the disbelief on Brady’s face is evident. “Good thing! That douchebag put something in it. When I saw who he took it too, I completely fucking lost it.”
His swoop in and save the day gloating is sending my anger to new heights. “Why do you care anyway Brady? It’s obvious you hate me just as much as I hate you.”
Pacing, Brady curses under his breath. Drops of water spray out around his face as he rakes his fingers furiously through his dark wet hair. “Fuck it!” Closing the gap between us, Brady marches towards me, his boots slapping against the wet ground. His green eyes deepen in color until they’re nearly black. Nervously, I back away from him until the cold bricks of the wall press into my back. Inhaling a long fortifying breath, I glare anxiously at Brady. My heart pounds in my throat and I struggle to swallow against it.
With one arm on each side of me, he places his palms flat against the bricks behind me. Our noses practically touch as hot breath mingles between us. Rain droplets fall from his dark lashes and land on his cheeks. The tear shaped drops catch in his stubble, changing directions like a pin ball. Breathing in through my nose, I smell whiskey on his breath mixed with a scent I’ve loved my entire life, Brady. Turning from his heated gaze, I shake away my thoughts, knowing how wrong he is for me.
“Is that what you think, Tor, that I hate you?” His fiery eyes burn into me. My desire rages like an inferno ready to ignite my skin.
Blinking twice, I pour a cold bucket of water on my thoughts and hang my head. “You helped Jake to cheat on me.”
Putting his middle three fingers under my chin, he lifts my head. I shiver and tell myself it’s from the rain. “Jake was always a cheat. I just sped the part along where you found out what a prick he really is.”
“You’re such a liar!” I bite my lip because I will not cry. “I hate you, Brady!”
“Do you, Tor.” His index finger presses into my flesh just below my collar bone. When he begins trailing it down my skin chasing a rain drop, I have to turn away. Ignoring the heat burning inside me like red-hot coals, I shake my head stubbornly. His finger stops when it reaches the curve of my left breast. “Look right here and ask yourself if you really feel that way?”
He’s right. Jake’s always been a cheat. Brady’s also spot-on with regard to how I feel about him. I definitely don’t hate him. I wish I did though.
“I don’t know what I feel.” Pushing off the wall slightly, I try to move away, but Brady holds his ground. With his wide shoulders and firm chest in front of me, I might as well be trapped between two brick walls. My thoughts don’t form with clarity. Alcohol makes my head feel fuzzy and the water glistening off Brady’s skin makes him look sexy as hell. As he licks his lips, a few drops fall from the dark hair in front of his eyes. I’m pissed at myself for thinking about him like this – for thinking about him at all. Heat clinches my sex and I just want him to let me go. At the same time, I want him to hold me against this wall and give me a reason to care.
Without warning, he crashes his lips to mine, slamming me into the wall. In one fluid motion he lifts me up and I wrap my legs around his waist. Cupping his hands under my ass, he holds me up against the bricks. Immediately, I open my mouth to him and our tongues meet, sweeping and stroking against the others, warm and wet. Tasting the whiskey on his tongue and something sweet, I moan into his mouth and run my fingers through his soft damp hair.
Remembering Liv, I break the kiss. He grips my face roughly between his thumb and fingers and covers my lips again. “Shit, Brady, stop!” I scream into his mouth.
His shoulders sag and he groans, his hips pushing into me and I feel his erection. “Christ, Tori, I really don’t want to. Your mouth tastes as sweet as I always thought it would and I want nothing more than to shove my tongue right back in it.”
Oh. My. God. Focus, Tori! Focus!
