Synopsis
Try – verb: to make an attempt or effort to do something or in this case…someone.
Sex. Logan Mitchell loves it, and ever since he realized his raw sexual appeal at a young age, he has had no problem using it to his advantage. Men and women alike fall into his bed—after all, Logan is not one to discriminate. He lives by one motto—if something interests you, why not just take a chance and try?
And he wants to try Tate Morrison.
Just coming out of a four-year marriage with an ex-wife from hell, a relationship is the last thing on Tate’s mind. He’s starting fresh and trying to get back on his feet with a new job at an upscale bar in downtown Chicago.
The only problem is, Tate has caught the unwavering and unwelcome attention of Mr. Logan Mitchell – a regular at the bar and a man who always gets what he wants.
Night after night Tate fends off the persistent advances of the undeniably charismatic man, but after an explosive moment in the bar, all bets are off as he finds his body stirring with a different desire than his mind.
As arrogance, stubbornness and sexual tension sizzles between the two, it threatens to change the very course of their lives.
Logan doesn’t do relationships. Tate doesn’t do men. But what would happen if they both just gave in and…tried?

Tate is in the process of divorcing his bitch of a wife. His marriage seemed to fall apart not too long after it started. All he wants to do is be free of his ex and move on with his life. He is currently working as a bartender. One night Logan Mitchell walks into the bar that he works in and at that moment he seems like nothing more than a man who is coming in to get a drink after a long day at work. But what Tate doesn't know is that the day Logan walks into the bar is the day that his life will change.
Logan is a lawyer who doesn't do relationships. He has meaningless sex with countless men or woman. When he walks into the bar one night after work his notices the new sexy bartender. Logan doesn't know in that moment whether Tate is straight or gay but the truth is that he really doesn't care. When Logan sees someone he wants he goes for it. And he usually gets what he wants. But Tate is different and Logan soon learns that getting Tate in his bed is going to be a challenge. Tate is not gay and when he realizes that Logan is flirting with him and wants him, he knows that he needs to keep his distance from him. But the thing is that his body is reacting to Logan in ways that he does not understand at all. He can't seem to stop thinking of him and that frightens him. He isn't sure what to make of all these feelings going on. Logan is relentless and sets out to prove to Tate that Tate wants him just as badly as he wants him. Tate's body is saying yes, but his mind is saying no. Will Tate go with what his body is telling him and ignore all of the signs that says being with Logan is wrong?
I really enjoyed Logan and Tate's story. I can say that I think I connected with Tate a little bit more than Logan but I loved the both of them. Tate struggled with his feelings that he was having for Logan. He knew how he felt when he was around him, but at the same time he couldn't understand his feelings. When he was with Logan though he was happy and enjoyed being with him. He felt something with Logan that he hadn't felt.. Logan on the other hand has been with other men, so the struggle for him wasn't that he was attracted to a man but more about the feelings that he felt for that man. Logan has never been one for a relationship or feelings. But with Tate things are different. He starts to have feelings for him and that scares him. As scared as they both are they both know that they are happy with each other and can't ignore the feelings that they have for each other. Are they both willing to give into their feelings and give it a TRY? Regardless of what it may cost them?
This is Ella Frank's first M/M book and I think she did a great job with it. I loved the back and forth banter between Logan and Tate. There were some moments where Tate showed a little but of a dominant side which I found very sexy. Oh and the sex scenes very hot and very steamy. But for me personally there were a little too many. I know too many sex scenes seems like a crazy statement. But I wanted more of the emotional side from these two men. Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed the book and thought the writing was great. We do see the emotion and struggles that they are both going through, but I wanted a little more. The chemistry that these too have is off the charts and I loved the sexual tension between the two of them. I am looking forward to Take where I also hope we find out more background information on these two very sexy men. Whether you have read a M/M book before or not definitely give this one a Try.
Excerpt from Try by Ella Frank
Before Tate could respond to the question hanging between them, Logan palmed his chest and pushed him back into the corner of the couch. When his back met with the soft leather, a strong thigh slid between his legs, and Tate groaned from the relief of finally having something hard to press against.
“Yeah, that’s it,” Logan encouraged, placing a hand on the back of the couch and the other on the armrest behind Tate’s head. Using them as an anchor, Logan rolled his hips downward and proved just how forceful he could be.
Tate’s head was resting against the couch as Logan looked down between them while he thrust his hips, over and over, creating a heated friction that had Tate’s mind spinning out of his head. The sexual hunger in Logan’s eyes as he watched their clothed bodies connecting made Tate wonder just how combustible things would be when their clothes finally came off.
Feeling the need to touch, now more than ever, Tate grabbed a hold of Logan’s hips and pulled the man down against him with much more force than he’d intended. The delicious pressure of having Logan’s shaft grind against his own was too much to forgo, so Tate arched up, anxiously meeting the steady rub Logan was giving with every single punch of his hips.
“Fuck,” Logan muttered.
