Synopsis
My name is Lizzie Connelly, and I have it all. The gorgeous apartment. The new job most women would rip out their own souls for—working for Margaret Emerson at Emerson & Taylor. I have one of those lives you’ve always dreamt about, the kind you only see on HBO. But, the thing is, that life is a lie. A façade.

It all started with one call. “Everything you know about your story—your father’s story—is a lie. It’s up to you to uncover everything.” One call, and I turned my world upside down to dig my way into Margaret’s life—the woman who I’d never laid eyes on until recently. My stepmother who took everything after my father died fourteen years ago.

The plan was simple—figure out what role she played in my father’s death and expose her to the world.

But here’s another thing: simplicity doesn’t exist, and my plans are flawed from the beginning because I never anticipated Oliver. Sexy, too smart for his own goddamn good, and infuriating, he’s the one person who could blow my plans to uncover Margaret. She’s his mother, and in another life, that would have made him my stepbrother.

I want to pretend that none of that matters, that I can simply finish what I came to do without sparing him a second glance and another thought.

Like I said, though, there’s no such thing as simplicity.

My real name is Gemma Emerson.

And this is my story.

Bio
Emily Snow is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the erotic romance series Devoured, which includes Devoured, All Over You, and Consumed, as well as the new adult novel Tidal. She loves books, sexy bad boys, and really loud rock music, so naturally, she writes stories about all three.

Thank you so much to Three Chicks and their Books for having me on their blog today to celebrate the Uncovered release week! You ladies ROCK. Since I’m hanging out with three amazing chicks today, I thought it would be fun to do a three things about Emily Snow post!

What are three things about Emily Snow we don’t know?

1.     I’m obsessed with Food Network. If it’s a food show, I fall all over myself watching it. I love Guy’s Grocery Games, Chopped, and The Pioneer Woman, though I feel like Ree Drummond’s recipes were put on the Internet to make me fail every diet!
2.      I’m a huge fantasy/ sci-fi nerd. Whether I’m reading books (I love the Harry Potter and A Song of Ice and Fire series) or watching TV shows (I’m still hopeful Dollhouse and Fringe might come back), I adore those genres.
3.     I can play piano. For Valentine’s Day my kids and hubby gave me a keyboard (they got me a guitar for my birthday) and I’m looking forward to the day where I can sit down and play! Lucas would be so disappointed in me for slacking off. ;)

What are your three favorite books?

The answer to this question changes often depending on my mood, but right now they are …
1.     “Stardust” by Neil Gaiman
2.     “The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins
3.     “Howl’s Moving Castle” by Diana Wynne Jones

Name three books you’ve recently read and enjoyed.

1.     “Delirium” Lauren Oliver
2.     “Gone Girl” by Gillian Flynn
3.     “Outlander” by Diana Gabaldon (I recently started this because Christine from Shh Mom’s Reading recommended it and it’s AMAZING!)

Name three celebrity crushes
1.     Channing Tatum
2.     Anthony Mackie
3.     Chris Evans/ Chris Hemsworth (I couldn’t pick just three, and as you can see from choice #2 and 3, I have a thing for the Marvel men!)

If you weren’t a writer, what would your career be?
1.     Professional Chef: Told you I loved Food Network!
2.     Rockstar: A girl can dream, can’t she?
3.     Bed & Breakfast Owner: I’ve always loved the idea of owning a B&B, so this is one dream I’d like to someday accomplish!

What are you working on next?
In order …
1.     Sinjin’s story
2.     A novella for the Breathless anthology, which is coming on September 1st
3.     Lucky Me
