Blog Tour: Bride in Bloom by JB Hartnett

For Victoria, it started with the perfect dress and the perfect man...well, she thought he was perfect.

For Cameron, it started with a devoted wife and a bright future...until he discovered devotion was never high on his wife's list of marital duties.

When trust is tested and faith in the power of true love is lost, there is only way one to restore it:

Give that person everything you’ve got, nurture her, love her…

And watch her bloom.

In the first installment of The Beachy Bride series, we experience the love story of Victoria and Cameron. Both are no stranger to heartache, but both believe in the power of love.

4.5 Star Review by Jen Skewes

I love JB Harnett’s writing and was so excited for this book.  Up until recently Nico had been my favorite male character, but then Cameron Muir came along and that all changed.    There are no words to describe this man and how amazing he is.  He is like the Prince that every woman dreams of having.  He is just too perfect.  Bride in Bloom is the story of how the Prince got his Fairy Princess.

Victoria is all set to marry the love of her life.  They are building a house together and a life.  But not everything is always as it seems. Her fiancé loves her there is no doubt in that.  But she comes to find out that everything that she thought was real was nothing but a lie.  Her fiancé was not the man she thought he was and in the blink of an eye her world and heart were shattered.  Enter Cameron Muir.

Cameron has been dealing with his own heartache and betrayal.  His ex wife was one lying, cheating, manipulating bitch (at least that's how I saw it) and all he wants is to get rid of all things related to her and just move on.  For the past two years he as admired Victoria, his boss’s fiancé, from afar.  She is the type of woman that you fall in love with, who you know from the instant you see her that she is the perfect woman.  He knows that a part of her life is about to explode and he vows to be there for her when it does.  When he tells her that one day she will need him,  Victoria doesn't exactly understand nor does she think there will be a time when she actually does need him.  But when it all came crashing down, he was exactly what she needed.

Cameron knows that Victoria is “The One” but he needs to make her see that and want it as much as he does.  There was somewhat of insta-love in this book. Maybe it was more of an instant connection.  I am not sure but Cameron just knew that Victoria was the one without even really knowing her.  But here’s the thing it completely worked.  He had known her for two years and the first time he saw her there was just something about her that caught his eye.  She was beautiful, no doubt but he could see beneath that beautiful exterior and see how beautiful she was on the inside as well.  And while he may not have known too much about her he knew her better than anyone.  He was not like her previous boyfriends or fiancé who she seemed to do things for to make them happy.  He knew HER, he knew what made her happy.  An that is why it worked.  As the story goes on and they start spending more time together and opening up to each other you see it and you feel it. You feel why they belong together and you get why they both just knew!

People always say when you meet The One, you just know.  And while Cameron may have known, it took a little time and healing for Victoria to see it but when she did she was going to take it all and not let it go.   I loved the way Cameron went about it all.  He was building their castle so to speak and planning a life together but at the same time he was also taking it slow.  He needed Victoria to see how much they belonged together.  And here’s the thing, they both felt it and knew it but they still both needed to take their time with each other.  They need to get to really know each other and regardless of how much they “felt it”  they needed this time.  And it all just flowed and in a beautiful way these two slowly fell in love with each other.

They way Cameron woo’ed her and the little gestures just completely melted me.  Everything this man did he did it with her in mind.  He knew what she wanted and what she needed and he just wanted to make her happy.  When he told her he would be there for her he meant it and he was.  I cannot put into words how wonderful this man was.  He is sweet, and sexy all rolled into one.  He has this way of talking sweet but yet dirty at the same time.  I loved Victoria.  I honestly give her so much credit for the way she handled things.  I would have been one hell of a bitch and as angry as she was the loving side of her took over and she just understood and wanted to move on.

This was such a beautiful fairy tale like story.  Cameron and Tori will completely melt your heart when they are together.   I loved that we get to see some of our fave characters from Nico.  I honestly had no idea that this was a spinoff of that series and was so excited when I realized that it was.  JB Hartnett completely captured me with this story from the very beginning. I did not want to put it down.  From the moment I met Cameron he made me laugh and had me from the start.  This story is sweet, romantic, sexy and fun.  I hope we get to see more of these characters in the future.  Fantastic job.

Excerpt

“I hope to God you can look in the mirror and see what me and twenty other guys see: you’re the girl that men wish they had, even when they have a good one, they still fantasize about what it’d be like to have you. And not because they wanna fuck you, it’s because you’re you, Victoria. So when shit goes down, you let me know if you need someone to remind you.”
