Blog Tour: Losers Weepers by Nicole Willaims

New Adult Contemporary Romance

Release: February 24, 2015

If we didn’t know darkness, we couldn’t fully appreciate the light.

Garth Black’s more familiar with this concept than most people are. He hadn’t just lived in the dark for the majority of his life—he thrived in it. With a mom who’d bailed on him and a dad whose understanding of coddling started and ended with a bottle of whiskey, Garth had never been expected to rise to any sort of occasion other than following down the same dead-end paths.

That changed when he fell in love with Josie Gibson. After years of pulling each other closer before shoving the other way, they finally stopped shoving. Josie’s love is like nothing Garth’s ever experienced. He holds it close. He holds it sacred. He would do anything to preserve it and keep it from pollution, even if that means removing himself from the picture.

Garth might have been allowed a temporary furlough to bask in the light, but that pass has been revoked, and he’s been swallowed again by the dark. Will he revert to his old ways of hurting those he cares for most? Will he go back to the same destructive patterns . . . or will it be worse this time?

We can’t know light without first knowing dark . . . and Garth Black’s about to get acquainted with the dark in a whole new way.

4.5 Stars by Lisa Kane

Garth Black finally is in a good place. He has his girl, Josie and he's on top of the Bull Riding Championships. If he keeps winning the way he has this last year, he'll be able to do the necessary repairs on the ranch he and Josie bought and raise cattle. He knew this business wouldn't last forever, ¦he just needs another year or two. He has the ring, literally in his pocket and just needs to pop the big question to make it official.

But things don't go according to plan and just when he qualifies for the nationals by staying on Voodoo, one of the most notorious bulls for his required 8 seconds, he is thrown and it's lights out. When he wakes up, he is in a hospital and literally can't move. Not his arms, not his legs. Nothing. Just his head can turn. Josie and Rowen and Jesse are there and he knows this can't be good. All their eyes are red and swollen and his gut tells him that he's seen enough bull riding injuries in his time to know this is it for him.

Everyone tells him that his X-rays are inconclusive and he may or may not walk again. He knows that his condition isn't going to change and on top of all of this, he has no medical insurance. He gets himself discharged and ends up staying at Josie's parents' house.

Garth drew the short straw when it came to parents and a home life. He let his anger decide his fate too many times. But when things finally went good for him; when he finally got Josie, the girl he's loved for years, he thought his life was taking a turn for the better. He's made peace with Jesse after years of bitter fighting and he has a grudging respect for Rowen. He is so much more than the life he came from and he will need to dig deep down to deal with this latest shit storm life is throwing at him. For some one like him, who was taught at an early age not to rely on anyone, not to count on anyone being there for him, depending on his friends for just about everything, is killing him. He will not condemn Josie to a life of being a care take to an invalid.

Josie, of course, has other ideas. She is so in love with Garth that whatever is thrown at them, she believes they can survive. Whether he walks again or not, he is the man she wants and the only man she will love.

"I wanted to be with you before, I want to be with you now, and I'll want to be with you forever because I love you."

This latest installment in Nicole Williams' Lost & Found series, was, for me at least, the most poignant. My eyes were wet so many times and my heart broke more times than I can count. This book is so beautifully written. A man lost, who has been found and the woman who he believes is the moon and the stars and the sun. What happens when that man truly believes that woman would be better off without him? And what if that woman refuses to let go?

We have a few glimpses into Jesse and Rowen's lives and they are complicated beyond belief. But a bonus for us, we are getting another book about them! I'll take it, It's a reading pleasure any time we get to hang out with these characters!

Neither space, time, nor situation  would change that there was only one person in this godforsaken world for me. I could push her away and shove her away in my best attempts to save her from me, but nothing could change that Josie and I were bound to each other in such a way that nothing could sever the bond.

About the Author
I’m the New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author of the CRASH series (HarperTeen, S&S UK), LOST & FOUND series, UP IN FLAMES (S&S UK), The EDEN TRILOGY, and a handful of others. I write stories about everyday kinds of people who find themselves in extraordinary kinds of situations. I tell love stories with happy endings because I believe in making the world a better place, and that’s one tiny way I can make it so. I’m one of those people who still believe in true love and soul mates, and would rather keep my head in the clouds any day over having my feet firmly on the ground.
