Spotlight on Elizabeth Hayley: Reviews and Giveaways for Sex Snob and Pieces of Perfect

Sex Snob

Sex Snob is a spin-off of Pieces of Perfect but can be read as a stand-alone novel.

Twenty-nine year old wild, carefree, and brutally sarcastic Amanda Bishop thought her three rules for dating would weed out unworthy suitors. And they did. Until she met Shane Reed, her smart-ass, sexy-as-sin CrossFit coach who pushes all her buttons. He’s the man she loves to hate. But when the hate begins to ebb away, and is replaced by feelings she can’t handle, Amanda hides behind her rules. Will the electric chemistry she feels with Shane allow her to get beyond a painful past, or will she push him away with her rules? Rules that make her the ultimate Sex Snob.

Holy Hell, Elizabeth Hayley where have you been all my life? Sex Snob was such a great book. Great plotline, sexy as hell, super funny, and a happily ever after! What more could a book snob ask for?

Amanda Bishop- is a sex snob, and she has three rules if you want to have a chance at dating her.

1.Have sex with a guy by the 4th date if there's potential for a further relationship
2. The guy must earn the same amount, if not more, than she does.
3. Never kiss a guy in a bar/public

The reason these rules are in place is because she has abandonment issues from her father leaving her mother, and she vows for that to never happen to her. Also an ex-boyfriend who treated her like absolute rubbish, who made less money than she did- ended up taking advantage of her, then ultimately leaving her. She's taken some low blows in life, but she is a strong independent woman- who I can't blame for holding tightly to some of these rules. But being 29- she needed to get over them.

Shane Reed. Hi, my new lover. He is the ultimate alpha male, and Amanda's CrossFit coach. He is hot, sexy, and bossy. Just how I like my heroes. He gets on her last nerve- but somewhere deep inside; a part of herself that she has closed off, has feelings for him.

The anticipation and build up between Amanda and Shane, is scorching hot. I mean, I was sweating. But Shane didn't fit the requirements she set for herself. I wanted to shake her, or slap her- either would suffice. And the banter between the two of them was amazing. I think I had a smile on my face the entire time I read this book.

I didn't get to read Pieces of Perfect, which is Elizabeth's first book yet, but you bet your sweet a@@ I will be reading that next. The secondary characters in the story are just as intriguing as the main ones.

Enjoy this read, as well as anything Elizabeth Hayley writes, you won't be disappointed!

Pieces of Perfect

ADULT CONTENT - Only Suitable for 17+.

As a sexy ex-hockey player, Max was the bad boy with something to prove. As a handsome single father, Adam was the man most women wait a lifetime for. Each man would take me on a journey of self-discovery that was marred with lies, jealousy, deceit, and a whole lot of fun. They each offered a glimpse of happily ever after, a piece of perfect. But in my constant quest to have it all, I would risk losing everything. Only one thing was certain. I’d never be the same after this

So I read Sex Snob first, which was about Lily’s (main character in Pieces of Perfect) roommate, Amanda. But I also really wanted to find out about Lily’s story- I read it immediately following Sex Snob, and I was not disappointed. I really love Elizabeth and Hayley’s writing style. This story is a love triangle with a bit of a cliff hanger.

I must admit in the beginning they made me fall for both of the heroes, and by the end- I fell hard for one of them, not saying who- but he deserves a chance.

Lily is a school teacher who just got out of a relationship with a terrible man- so she guards her heart and doesn’t take chances. All that changes on a plan ride home when she meets Max.

Max- swoon, is an ex-hockey player- and also a player. He gets what he wants and he has made his mind up that he wants Lily. Lily doesn’t feel the same at first and doesn’t want to get involved. But there is something about Max and his commanding personality that she loves. Then a sexual relationship ensues. When Lily gets back to her school, guess who the  new hockey coach is?  I am talking steamy hot, all over the place sexy time, and great witty banter between the two.

Amidst all the fornication, Lily also meets Adam- a father of one of her students. Again, swoon- he is an architect with a great passion for life. He's stable, charming, incredibly romantic and kind. On paper he is the perfect guy for her. He has a stable job, is a great single father, and knows how to sext! But is he all that she is looking for in a man?

I think they both have real potential, but I also think Lily never gives Max a chance. She never lets him get close enough to her. He could be pretty amazing too.

She continues to mess around with both of the guys using Max for sex and dating Adam until things with Adam begin to get more serious. She is going to eventually have to choose- and I am patiently waiting until March- but I need to know NOW!!!

If you want drama and angst, honey- this story is for you! But know this going into it- it will not end the way you want it to- I am certain all of the loose ends will be tied up in the next story (at least I am hoping) and if you read the epilogue of Sex Snob- after you actually read the whole book of course, if gives you a little peek into Lily’s POV, and what could possibly happen to her.

Go read these great books now- trust me on this, you don’t want to miss this story, even if Pieces of Perfect has a less than stellar ending where you just want to scream “OMG, WTF, and WHY??” You will love it, and accept that their story is coming.
