What could be better than a hot and sexy hockey play? A hockey player who is also sweet, caring and
has a huge heart. And his name is
Bennett Morse. I have always been a
sucker for a hot hockey player, even before I started reading about them in
books. And Brenda Rothert has created
many sexy hockey players that I have completely fallen in love with but there
is just something about Bennett that will just make you fall for him from the
moment you meet him.
Bennett is a minor league hockey player who is hoping that
one day all of his hard work will pay off and he will finally be called up to the
NHL. He loves his job, and enjoys the
perks, like the many women. I honestly
would not say he is a man whore but he is not exactly innocent either. He has a past when in comes to love and
relationships, one that is very painful and because of that he has not wanted
to get close to another woman. But when
he sees Charlotte in the bar that night there is something about her that he is
drawn to. Even after one night with her
he hopes for more.
Just when he is ready to move on from Charlotte and admit to
himself that he will never have anything with her, she pops back into his
life. He wants to be with her, wants to
get to know her and definitely wants more than just casual sex with her. But getting Charlotte to be on the same page
as him may prove to be very difficult.
But Bennett is up for the challenge.
The more time he spends with her the more he starts falling for
her. But will Charlotte be able to put
her stubborness and fears aside to be more?
I cannot say enough about Bennett and how much I loved
him. This man had such a huge heart and
proved it so many times. There are times
wen he puts Charlotte first and you could not help but love him, but at the same
time want to shake him for the decisions he made. But his heart is always in the right place. He was so sweet and just wanted to show
Charlotte how much he cared and how good they were together.
Charlotte was a very strong and at times very independent
woman, which I think it very admirable but at the same time could be her
downfall. She was too strong in the
sense that I think she would push Bennett away and have a hard time opening up
to him and the idea of loving him because of it. But I loved her character. And her and Bennett together were great.
This book made me feel so many different emotions. I loved the sweet moments between Charlotte
and Bennett. Then there were moments
where the both of them just frustrated me, for reasons that I will not mention. But I felt it all with them. Their relationship was not an easy one and
there were struggles. It was a roller
coaster ride of emotions and one that I loved being on. Because in the end it was all worth it. I loved this book so much and Bennett has
quickly worked his way in as one of my top favorite book boyfriends. Liam also played a big role in this book and
one that will not go into but it just made me want his book even more. I cannot wait!!
