Release Blast: Nova by Rebecca Yarros

The only heart he wants is the one he already broke...

NOVA
The Renegades #2
Rebecca Yarros
Releasing February 20th, 2017
Entangled Embrace

The only heart he wants is the one
he already broke...

He's
Landon Rhodes.
The
Renegade they call Nova.
Sinfully
gorgeous, broody, tatted-up, professional snowboarder.
Four-time
X Games medalist—
Full-time
heartbreaker.

They say a girl broke him once—
That's why he's so reckless, so
driven, so careless with his conquests.

But I'm
that girl.
They can
call me his curse all they want.
He and I
both know the truth—
He's the
one who destroyed me,
And I'm
not the sucker who will let that happen again.

standalone***

Review By Lisa Kane
I really liked the first book in this new series, Wilder and wanted to know more about Landon “Nova (short for Casanova) Rhodes. He, along with Wilder and Penna are part of the Renegades. Lovers of extreme sports and stunts. Before Wilder met the love of his life, Leah, he had a fling with Rachel *. But she and Landon fell in love behind Wilder’s back. Things exploded, Wilder gave Nova an ultimatum and he chose the Renegades.
I could have Rachel or I could have the Renegades, but I couldn’t have both. I’d choses my brain over my heart, and the latter hadn’t worked since.
That was two and a half years ago. Nova’s daring has reached new heights. There’s nothing he won’t try in an attempt to move on with his life. He screws just about any woman who catches his eye. They are all poor substitutes for Rachel but they help pass the time.
So when Nova finds out that Rachel, who is Leah’s best friend is now onboard the Athena, the ship the Renegades are filming on where they can do their stunts, study at sea and have a documentary filmed about them. Rachel knows Nova will be on this cruise but she wants to sail around the world. She has an opportunity to be in Korea for a stop and she’s hoping to find out more about her birth parents. She was adopted shortly after her birth and she wants to see more of her birth country. She’s going to do her best to avoid Nova. He just about shattered her when he dumped her and she’s never going to let him hurt her again.
He was the one who’d walked out without a word, leaving me collegeless, with a pissed off family I had to go crawling back to and a lease I couldn’t afford, but from the looks of it, he was fine. More than fine, really, and I was the one trying to get over the newly opened fissure in my heart…again.
Nova knows how badly he screwed up and he isn’t about to let Rachel slip through his fingers again. She is equally determined not to give him the time of day, in spite of his groveling and begging for her to listen to why he made the choice he did.
Nova’s storyline moved along so quickly the pages flew through my fingers. I love a second chance at love romance and this one checked off all my boxes. In spite of his manwhoring ways, Nova was genuinely sorry for what he did and tried like hell to make things right again. Rachel was no push over ready to fall into his arms and his bed just because he turned his attention to her once again.
“Why is it so important to you? It’s been years. Years, and you never once tried to contact me to explain. Hell, I’m only here now because Wilder arranged it-not because you had some crisis of conscience or change of heart.”
Both needed to forgive each other and to learn how to trust. I like that things moved slowly for them, I am not a fan of insta anything. Years had separated them and hurts don’t heal overnight. But when two people are right for each other, time and space won’t keep them apart.
“You chose me.”
“I always will.”
