Blog Tour: Sweet Filthy Boy by Christina Lauren

Summary
One-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him.

But after a crazy Vegas weekend celebrating her college graduation—and terrified of the future path she knows is a cop-out—Mia Holland makes the wildest decision of her life: follow Ansel Guillaume—her sweet, filthy fling—to France for the summer and just…play.

When feelings begin to develop behind the provocative roles they take on, and their temporary masquerade adventures begin to feel real, Mia will have to decide if she belongs in the life she left because it was all wrong, or in the strange new one that seems worlds away

Review

4.5 star review by Allison East

To be honest, I have not read any of Christina and Lauren's books- the Beautiful Bastard series, but I am beginning to think that I really, really need to.

I am totally a fan girl now, especially of their humor and the sex intertwined with a delicious setting, and plot. The
characters were so well developed and I wanted more immediately. I couldn’t put the book down, I stayed up until the wee hours finishing this.

Mia, the heroine- is a little insecure, but she does have her moments. I think Ansel- the hero, gave her the confidence she needed to stand up to her overbearing father.  She had an accident when she was younger and was on her way to pursuing dance- but the course of her life was forever altered after that day. She now intends to go to Boston for business school, something that she isn’t entirely happy with.

The hero, Ansel, the sweet and gorgeous filthy boy, is hot. Like fire engine red HOT. And he is French, I would love that accent to speak dirty things to me. He is essentially a sweet guy, but can be very filthy and I loved it. Someone quoted him in the beginning of the book as what those swoony YA boys grow up to be, and that is exactly right.

They meet when Mia decides to go with her besties to Vegas- and she sees Ansel from across the room. They get to know each other over the next few days, have a drunken night they can't remember- and end up waking up, married to each other. Mia™'s two friends also marry Ansel’s two friends. And while Mia's friends get an immediate annulment-Ansel all but convinces Mia not to- because when she was drunk she made him swear they wouldn't. He tries to convince her to also go back to Paris with him to live for the summer, before she goes to business school, at first she says no. but then after going back to her parent's house one night- she decides it is for the best to leave and live a little.

I guess what Mia didn't expect were the very real feelings she started to have for her "husband."

I loved Mia and Ansel- they were perfect characters. Perfect for each other- even if Mia wasn’t convinced at first. loved the chemistry between Mia and Ansel. They were the best pairing- it was as if fate meant them to be together. Ansel's friends claim he falls in love a little bit with everything he sees.

I thoroughly enjoyed the secondary characters as well. The best friends are going to get their own books too I believe, and I really liked Mia's crazy friends, as well as Ansel's- well, with the exception of Perry¦ ugh.

I am pretty sure I need to invest in Bennett and Chloe now that I have read this new one.  I can’t wait for the next installment- and Mia's friend Harlow's story!

Bio / Social Media
Lauren Billings (but everyone calls her Lo) has a Ph.D. in neuroscience and before she made writing her full-time job, would spend her days doing nerdy research-type things wearing a lab coat and goggles. She is silly Mommy to two littles, wife to one mountain biking homebrewing scientist, bestie to a shoe-stealer, and an unabashed lover of YA and romance.
Christina Hobbs (but you’ll always hear Lo call her PQ) used to spend her days in a junior high counseling office surrounded by teenagers. Married to the cutest boy in school, she has a thirteen year old daughter, is an unapologetic lover of boy bands and glitter, and also likes to steal Lo’s shoes.
