4 Star Review by Jen Skewes
Louise Bay has done it again. She has managed to capture me from the start
with the start of a new novella series that I already know I am going to
love. I have already fallen in love with
these characters and cannot wait to see what happens next.
Haven Daniels has
just landed the one interview that she has been hoping for. This is the one that will help her get the
promotion that she wants and deserves.
But when she is paired up with Harry,
her boss’s rich friend she hopes that he doesn’t ruin it all for
her. Haven is a bit of a bitch at times
but she is also very smart and very beautiful.
When she meets Harry she assumes that he is just some rich, arrogant,
trust fund kid who her boss hired to help out, not caring too much about the
job that they he has to do. And being
the loose-lipped bitch that she can be at times she makes sure she tells Harry
just that. Realizing her mistake, she
apologizes and hopes that they can move on and be able to work together.
Harry is sexy, hard working and yes very rich. But Haven's perception of him is quite possibly
all wrong. She knows how to push
buttons, she knows how to completely frustrate him but when he sees Haven he
sees this beautiful closed off woman.
And the thing is that she doesn’t know just how beautiful she really
is. He wants her, even if he can’t
understand why. She isn’t the women that
he usually dates, for one she is not materialistic by any means and that shows
in the way she dresses alone. And that
is one of the many reasons why he wants her.
Jake Harrison usually gets what he wants and he wants Haven. But can he make her see how much she wants him
as well?
I just loved these two.
For one I loved the back and forth banter and the sexual tension between
these two was completely off the charts.
You were waiting for that moment for the both of them to just
explode! Harry wasn’t the person that
Haven thought he was and in fact he was cry different than what she thought. Yes he was rich but he really didn’t flaunt
his wealth. He has a soft spot for his
sister and would do anything for her. He may be rich but he has a heart and is a good guy. And you can see how hard he is starting to fall for Haven.
I loved Haven and her attitude. But I also loved the relationship that she
had with her best friend Ava and her brother Luke. This is the start of another great serial by
Ms. Bay. We were left hanging in a big
way and I cannot see what happens. When
Haven finds out the truth about why she was really given the interview what will
she do? And what will this men for her
and Harry!!. I need the next installment
now!
USA Today Bestselling Author
Louise Bay writes sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind she likes to
read. Her books Faithful and Hopeful are stand-alone novels although
there are some overlapping characters. Bestselling The Empire State Series of novellas starts with A Week in New York. My next series is What the Lightning Sees.
Ruined by
romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There's
not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in
books and films.
Louise loves
the rain, the West Wing, London, days when she doesn’t have to wear make-up,
being on her own, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
