Blog Tour: Struck From The Record by KA Linde

STRUCK FROM THE RECORD
By K.A Linde
Release Date: June 7, 2016

Clay Maxwell is a smart, quick witted, sex-driven, manwhore with the good looks to match. Plenty of women have shared his bed, but only one has ever been constant, Andrea.
Their rules were simple. When they’re together, it’s just the two of them. When they’re apart, anything is fair game. And it worked. For ten years.
But one of them has changed the game…
Clay must decide if his player ways are worth losing the one girl who has always been there.

“Yet another awesome read from K.A. Linde! Clay is HOT and BAD in the best way possible, you won’t be able to put it down! I literally was begging for more!” -A.L. Jackson, NYT Bestselling Author

REVIEW BY LISA KANE

Clay Maxwell has always lived in his brother Brady's shadow. Or at least it's seemed like that to him. Brady was the subject of the first three books in the The Record series. But he's found his HEA with Liz and this is Clay's chance to find happiness.

Since the time he was thirteen years old and first encountered Andrea Billings on a beach in Hilton Head, Clay felt the bond between them. They were best friends for years until college. Then they broke the Friend Zone barrier and became lovers in an open relationship. When they are with each other, no one else counts. But once they go back to their separate lives, they are free to take other lovers.

It was easier to just let people believe he was a philandering asshole than to explain that they had been in a successful open relationship for the last ten years.

The two like to engage in games. You know the kind-they will be out with someone else but when the other calls them, they drop their latest plaything like a hot potato. Only this latest time, Andrea breaks the rules. She arrives with Bad Suit (as Clay has dubbed him) plays a little with Clay but then leaves with Bad Suit anywhere. This one move sets in motion big changes in both of their lives. Things that have been simmering just below the surface for both of them are about to be brought to a rapid boil.

On the surface it looks as if they both want more than moments with each other. Are they done playing these games? Clay, being a guy, messes up. Big time. The fall out from his stupid actions will force him to finally face his real feelings? But what about Andrea? Is it too late as far as she's concerned?

Andrea was an easy choice. He always chose her over everyone else. Ten years of the perfect arrangement and perfect sex had taught him that coming home to Andrea was better than any one-night stand.

Even though this is part of a series that I haven't read, I had not trouble following the story line. I'm not sure Brady is a character I particularly like, he seems a little too self centered for me, but I do like the other characters. I see that the next story is Savannah's. I'm suspecting that she and Lucas will finally have a show done. I think I am going to like where this series is going!

Love was enough. Family was enough. Friends were enough. And he never wanted to forget that again.
