Zane Walker is the youngest of the Walker brothers. The Walker brothers have a reputation when it comes to the ladies. Some of those stories include having more than one a time. They are also known for being insatiable in the sack. 

“I love you. So much. Please, don’t ever leave me, Zane. I love you.”

When Zane met kisses V, he immediately knows that she is the one for him. But getting V is easier said than done. She is the most stubborn woman he has ever known. Even trying to get to know her better is going to be a challenge. When he is attacked in front of her house, his only concern was her safety.  Now that he is out of the hospital and on the mend from nearly losing his life; he wants nothing more than to penetrate those walls V has built around her heart. He will do everything he can to get through to her, even if it puts his safety is on the line. Everyone knows that Zane Walker is not the kind of man to walk away from what he wants.  He never gives up.

“It’s not going to work, V.” Zane’s words broke through the haze of lust that was clouding her thoughts.

“What?” V felt as though she missed a vital part of the conversation.

“Trying to push me away is only going to make me come after you more.”

Vanessa Carmichael has fantasized about being with Zane Walker; the whole town has fantasized about the Walker brothers. The moment Zane kissed her, she knew she was in trouble and does her best to avoid him. With her mother’s mistakes haunting her, V has become an expert in the field of erecting impenetrable walls around herself, her emotions and especially her heart. Trying to fight her feelings for Zane she does her best to keep him at a distance but he is very persistent. Then when she witnesses Zane’s brutal attack that nearly kills him in her front yard, she feels nothing but guilt. To keep him safe she tries to push him away. She is having a hard time denying the chemistry they have for each other and slowly he manages to make his way into her heart.

V was positive she had never met a man as capable as Zane of causing her to drop her defenses as quickly as he caused her to drop her clothes. He was like a drug, impossible to resist once she’d had a taste of him.

When Zane and V finally get together *insert fire here* these scenes are Smoking hot! Then when you add Zane’s best friend Beau to the equation, DAMN!

When the danger re-appears V, completely shuts down and her walls are once again erect. Distancing herself from Zane, she tells him she will be staying with her mother for a while. When she does not only does she break his heart but she breaks her heart as well.

“As a point, I do my best not to get involved,” Beau began, “but I’m going to say this one time. Don’t crush him, V. You can’t even being to understand what you’ve got in a man like Zane. He’s loyal, honest and when he loves, it’s forever. He’s found that with you. I’ve never seen him look at another woman the way he does with you. Take time to think about what you need to think about, but make sure you know what you’re doing. If you push him away, he won’t come back.”

To be honest I am not really into the ménage a trios or m/m/f thing but Nicole Edwards wrote it so beautifully and tastefully that it had me intrigued! Be prepared to change your panties... a lot!

Nicole Edwards wrote some fantastic characters in the Walker brothers. A very pleasurable, sexy as sin and entertaining read.
