Synopsis
Dancing in pop superstar Beckham Woods’ entourage was the last thing Roxie wanted. But when Roxie took a spot on an international tour with Woods and rock icon Ian Sterling, the lure of financial security and her passion for dance pulled her into an emotional storm that threatened to spin out of control and hurt the ones she loved most. Just as she began to adjust to her new life, it became apparent that danger was in the shadows, waiting for a chance to move... ***Fade to Red is a standalone novel featuring characters from True Love Story.***
4.5 Stars by Jen Skewes

Fade to Red was an amazing read.  I honestly shouldn’t be surprised.  Every time I read one of Willow Aster’s books she always manages to just blow me away with her flawless writing and unique storylines.  Fade to Red is a beautiful love story but it is also filled with drama and a bit of mystery and suspense added to it all.  You will be on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what is going on and what will happen next.  Once I started this book I did not want to put it down. I was completely submerged in the world of Beckham Woods and all that was going on around him.

Beckham is a very famous pop star who is about to go out on his next tour with Ian Sterling (yes THE Ian Sterling from True Love Story).  When he meets Roxie Taylor, one of his newest dancers he feels a connection unlike anything he has ever felt before.  But for some reason Roxie seems to be very bitter and angry toward him and he cannot for the life of him figure out why.  He wants her and not just in a sexual way. He wants it all with her, but he first needs to find out what is causing the wall she has up when it comes to him.

Roxie’s dream is to be a dancer in Beckham Woods upcoming tour.  Despite the fact that she cannot stand the guy this is something she has been working towards her entire life.  She is a single mom who just wants to provide for her adorable son Leo, while doing what she loves the most, dance.  She knew that there would be no avoiding Beck, no matter how much she hoped, but she had no idea that she would be working as closely as she was with him.  The chemistry between the two of them is off the charts .  Their connection is intense.  She feels it just as much as he does. But she will do everything in her power to avoid it, while Beck will do what it takes to prove to her that he is one of the good guys.  That he wants to get to know her, get under her skin and find out all there is to know about his new dancer.  But will Roxie finally be able to open up to the man that makes her turn to jelly and at the same time tick her off?

There were so many elements to this story that I loved.  I loved that we got to see so much of Ian and Sparrow, who we met in True Love Story, which happens to be one of my favorite reads ever.  Ian and Beck are on tour together.  They become quick friends and even have a bit of a bromance going on.  I loved seeing Ian and Sparrow happy, still in love and how adorable they were together with their little daughter Journey.  With all they went through I was so happy to see ther happily ever after continue.

While Roxie may have had some angry feelings when it came to Beck I could not help but love the guy.  He is sweet, sexy, and very protective.  He is not the guy that he was a few years ago and I loved how determined he was to prove that to Roxie.  I loved the emotions that we saw from him, how he realized how much he loved Roxie and what she meant to him.  But it was also the connection and bond that he formed with Leo that just melted my heart.

Roxie was such a wonderful heroine and one that I admired.  She is a single mom who put her son first.  When you find out her reasons for disliking Beck I understood her reservations when it came to him.  She was on this tour to make a better living for her son.  She never planned to fall for Beck and believe me she fought it hard.  But I loved her.  I especuially loved her relationship with her sister, the bond that she formed with the girls on the tour and the love she had for her son.

As mentioned earlier this book is filled with some mystery and suspense.  We get to see this story from Ian and Sparrow's point of view as well as Roxie and Beck's.  But at times we get a surprise point of view from an unknown party.  And you are left wondering who she is and what she is planning.  She will have you on the edge of your seat waiting for that moment when all hell will break loose.  And you are wondering how it will all work out.  Will everyone be ok and most of all with Roxie and Beck get their happily ever after.

It wasn't just the mystery and suspense of this unknown party that had me all twisted.  It was also wondering what happened between Roxie and Beck to cause her to hate him so much. I needed to know.  Ms. Aster managed to give us the info slowly, pieces at a time and kept me guessing the whole time.  I loved every minute of this book.  From the drama, to the angst to the sexiness of Beck and Roxie.  As well as the fun and cute moments that they shared.  And of course the amazing ending that will leave you happy but at the same time leave you thinking?  I loved all of the supporting characters in this one.  And would love to see Roxie's sister Chloe get her own story.

Once again Willow Aster has blown me away.  Another wonderful job.  I was sorry to see this one end.  Would love more of Roxie and Beck!!!
