An all new second chance love story by the New York Times Bestselling author of the beloved Driven series.
It all started with the invitation. To my ex-fiance’s new wedding.
I should have ignored it. Thrown it away. Set it afire. But I didn’t. I replied.
With a plus one.
And then my assistant accidentally mailed it.
Enter Hayes Whitley. Mega-movie star. The man who has captured the hearts of millions. But I gave him mine years ago. He was my first love. He was my everything. Right until he up and left to chase his dreams without so much as a simple goodbye.
When he showed up out of the blue ten years later, I should have known to steer clear of him. I should have rejected his offer to take me to my ex’s wedding. I should have never let him kiss me.
But I didn’t.
And now we’re left wondering if the pieces of the life we once shared still fit together somehow. First loves are hard to forget. The question is, do we want to forget? Or do we risk the chance and see what happens next?

Review by Jen Skewes
It has been about six months since Saylor walked away from
her boyfriend of six years, on what was supposed to be her wedding day. On that day she realized that she just
couldn’t go through with it. They both
didn’t want the same things in life and she still wanted to pursue her dreams
of owning her own cupcake shop. It’s
only been 6 months, so why does she suddenly find herself looking at a very
familiar invitation for the wedding of her ex. There are so may questions going through her head at this point. I mean the fact that it’s only been 6 months
and he is already getting married? But
the bigger question is why in the world has he invited her?
Saylor fills out the response card with a plus one but has
no intentions of mailing it. But of
course that little card somehow makes it’s way into the mailbox and now Saylor
has no idea what to do. But no worries
because her brother Ryder has a plan, even if it's one that she is not informed
of. If she hasn’t had enough surprises
in the last few months, what with the quick wedding of her ex and all, the boy
that shattered her heart 10 years ago, and quite possible is the one man who
still may own her heart, is back in town.
Hayes Whitley, Hollywood star and Saylor’s first love. He was the boy she spent her childhood with,
the boy who knew her better than anyone, the boy who was her first everything, who made
promise of a future together, until he left and never looked back. Leaving Saylor not
only with a broken heart but also bitter and angry and questioning why? It is ten years later and now he is
back. Will they get their second chance
at love?
I loved this book for so many reasons. One of them being Hayes. I must
admit in the beginning I was a little pissed at him for just leaving
and never looking back. And when he did
came back it was as if he was wrestling with his feelings, trying to avoid them, but you begin to see how he really feels and when it is time to fight to get
his girl back he fights hard. And I
loved him for it. He lives his life in
the public eye and he knows how hard that will be for Saylor to deal with but he
knows what he wants and knows that his future is with her. And he will do whatever it takes to win her
over, because he had her heart once and he is not about to give it back
Saylor was such a fantastic heroine. I have to say that K.
Bromberg always knows how to deliver when it comes to the heroine. Rylee has always been one of my favorites and
after meeting Saylor I love her just as much.
There was just something about her.
You could completely relate to her on so many levels. I loved that she has a dream and passion and
went with it. Not wanting to give it up
for anyone or anything. I loved her sass
and feisty side. she had her fern d insecuritis
which we all have bit that is what made her so real and so relatable.
Hayes and Saylor were just so good together. I was rooting for them from the
beginning. You could feel the love and
connection between the two of them and just knew that they were meant to find
each other again. I always love a second
chance love story and as always Ms. Bromberg did not disappoint. This one had it all, the humor and wit, just
the right amount of drama needed, a sexy, weet and totally swoon worthy hero
and a heroine that you will love. Oh and
we cannot forget about Saylor’s brother Ryder.
The best big brother a girl could ask for. And the epilogue was absolutely fantastic. One of the best epilogues!!! Another amazing job!!!
New York Times Bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines, and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love.
She’s a mixture of most of her female characters: sassy, intelligent, stubborn, reserved, outgoing, driven, emotional, strong, and wears her heart on her sleeve. All of which she displays daily with her husband and three children where they live in Southern California.
On a whim, K. Bromberg decided to try her hand at this writing thing. Since then she has written The Driven Series (Driven, Fueled, Crashed, Raced, Aced), the standalone Driven Novels (Slow Burn, Sweet Ache, Hard Beat, and Down Shift), and a novella (UnRaveled). She is currently finishing up Sweet Cheeks a standalone novel out November 14th.
Her plans for 2017 include a sports romance duet (2 books: The Player, The Catch) and the Everyday Heroes series (3 books: Cuffed, Combust, and Cockpit). She’s also writing a novella for the 1,001 Dark Night series that will be out in February 2017.
She loves to hear from her readers so make sure you check her out on social media.
