Review: Priceless by Linda Kage

Three things in my life were fact.
I needed Sarah to survive.
I needed sex to remain sane.
And I could never mix sex with Sarah.

I just knew—deep in my marrow—that if I did, I’d somehow lose her. All my deepest darkest secrets would crack open, bleed out, and ruin everything between us. I wouldn’t unleash the shit inside me on my worst enemy, let alone her. So she stayed strictly in the friend zone.

People probably thought I never went there with her because of her cerebral palsy, but f*ck them. She knew she was the most important person in my world, and I wasn’t about to risk hurting our relationship just to make my c*ck happy.

Until the moment she begged me to take her virginity.
Now it’s all about to hit the fan, because how the hell do you resist the one person forbidden to you when she says please?

I have read every book in this series and loved them all.  But Brandt and Sarah's book is the one that I have been waiting for.  From the epilogue in To the Professor With love to their interaction in She’s Got a Secret I knew these two were special.  I knew they belonged together.  And Ms Kage did not disappoint.  She took a beautiful friendship and turned it into an amazing love story, one that I did not want to put down.

Throughout this series I continue to read each book and afterwards claim which forbidden man is mine.  Whether it is Mason, Pick or Ten.  But Brandt, Oh My God that boy may just be my favorite.  The way he loved Sarah and protected her and took care of her will just melt your heart.  From the moment he saw her, she was his everything.  He never cared that she was in a wheelchair or that she had CP.  She was the breath of fresh air that he needed.  The one who guided him, whom he trusted more than anyone.  She was his best friend and his world.  Over the years he realized that he was in love with her but he was also scarred from his past and couldn't give Sarah what she deserved.  While Sarah felt the same way neither one of them knew it.  When that moment comes, when Sarah asks Brandt to be her first, will he be able to resist her?  Or will he take a risk of ruining the one relationship that means everything to him?

Sarah and Brandt, these two were just so amazing together.  They had the most beautiful friendship that a boy and girl could have.  Just the way they loved and cared for each other.  The moments where Brandt wanted to give Sarah everything. How he wanted to make some of her "first" moments the best she could ever have.  His love for her was so intense.   Everything about it was so real and passionate and just so beautiful to watch. To be able to see them over the years falling for each other and then taking that next step will take your breath away.  Brandt is an amazing young man who would give Sarah the world.

Sarah was such a beautiful person both inside and out.  She was a little introverted and maybe had some confidence issues and didn't see herself as being anything special when it came to boys. And I think it had to do with her disability but at the same time she didn't let her CP hold her back when it came to other parts of her life.  She worked hard in school and when it came to being as independent as she could be, she had a lot of strength.  She is one of those characters that you can't help but admire not only for her strength but her beauty and her ability to love with her whole heart.

Linda Kage once again has completely sucked me into the world of the forbidden men and their families.  Sarah and Brandt's story was beautiful, and all though at times it was heart breaking, it all just felt so real.  And that is what I loved about this book, how real and true to life this story was.  Honestly I am not sure I can even put into words exactly how this book made me feel.  I think about it and still get goosebumps.  I think of the moments that they went through, the struggles, the heartache and it makes me want to experience it with them all over again.  Because no matter what happened in their life, there was one thing that always remained true.  And that was their love for each other.  It is the kind of love that every person should be able to experience in life(sigh).  Just beautiful and by far my favorite book of this series.  I cannot wait for Colton’s book.  I have a feeling that boy is going to be a handful.  lol
