Wicked Fall (The Wicked Horse Series Book #1) Sawyer Bennett
Release Date: July 28, 2015

Synopsis: Never in your wildest dreams could you begin to imagine all the filthy and depraved things that go on inside The Wicked Horse. Step inside and Woolf Jennings will make every one of your dirty fantasies come true. He’s covered in a facade of deception. An enticing blend of multi-millionaire and hot-as-hell Wyoming rancher, those that think they know Woolf Jennings admire his abilities to preside as CEO of his family’s cattle and oil empire. But only a privileged few truly understand what fuels the glitter of depravity in those gorgeous blue eyes. Only a few know he’s opened up a sinfully erotic and private sex club named The Wicked Horse right at the base of the beautiful Teton Mountain range. Sweet Callie Hayes has returned home to Wyoming and is looking forward to starting her life over again. After a night of impetuosity, she’s managed to put herself right in Woolf’s line of sight… the man who she foolishly offered up her virginity to years ago and was flatly turned down. Now Woolf is seeing that Callie is all grown up and has a kinky side to her that leaves him as confused as it does turned on. Worse yet, both Callie’s dirty desires and sweet heart are getting under his skin, and making Woolf question everything he’s ever believed about himself. 4 Star Review by Jen Skewes

WOW!  Talk about a scorching hot read.  If you are looking for a hot, sexy dirty talking cowboy whose passion is to make people’s fantasties come true?  Well then you need to meet Woolf Jennings, and let him take you into his world and see all that the Wicked Horse and The Silo have to offer.

After the death of his father Woolf is now in charge of running his family’s ranch and oil company.  His brother Tenn has moved to NC with his wife, leaving it all to be taken care of by Woolf.  While he loves running the business and stepping in his father’s shoes, it isn’t exactly his passion.  It wasn’t what he wanted to do with his life.  When Woolf was in college he met his best friend Bridger.  The two of them have this strong bond and both share the same sexual interests.  So together they decide to open a sex club, a place that will allow people to act out their most desired fantasies.  This right there is what Woolf is passionate about.  He loves the life he lives, including the countless women.  He has never been in a relationship and is not even sure he is the type of man that is capable of having feelings and being monogamous.  Until Cassie Hayes comes back to town and turns his world upside down.

Cassie has just moved back to her hometown after her relationship with her fiancé fell apart.  When she runs into Woolf Jennings all the feelings that she has all those years ago start coming back.  She always had a thing for him, ok maybe it was more than just a thing.  But when Woolf turned her down he broke her heart.  But Callie is no longer the sweet and innocent girl that she was back then.  At least she is trying not to be.  She is the new and improved Callie.  And she shows Woolf a side of her that he never expected to see.  She has him questioning everything.  Wolf can’t have the life he is used to living and Callie at the same time so he needs to decide which one is more important to him.  I wonder which one he will choose.  You will have to read the book to find out.

As mentioned earlier this book was HOT!!.  We first met Woolf in Shaken Not Stirred and I knew that he would be a very interesting character.  I had my suspicions as to what his interests were but never did I expect everything that Sawyer Bennet gave us when it came to this man.  He is hot and sexy and despite trying so hard not to fall for Callie you could see from the moment he sees her again how much he cares for her.  I loved the relationship that he has with Bridger.  They have this bond and connection where they know each other inside and out.  And I loved how Bridger was his voice of reason.

Callie was sweet and innocent but she had a kinky side to her that you wouldn’t expect.  But given her last relationship I think she in a way she was trying to find herself.   Her and Wolf were good together but they had their struggles.  They both have their fears, they both want different things and the question is can Woolf truly give Callie the life she wants and be happy at the same time.  I enjoyed watching Woolf go through all of the emotions.  Seeing how conflicted he was and coming to the realization of what really matters.  This is the beginning of a series that I am sure is going to be hot and sexy and completely different that what we are used to from Ms. Bennett and I cannot wit.  The epilogue will leave you wanting more.  Cannot wait for the next one.

4 Star Review by Jen Hagen

I have to admit I was a little confused by the cover.  On first glance and at first quick read of the blurb, I couldn’t decide if this was going to be a good guy from the get-go or the bad guy turned good guy.  My mind works in mysterious ways…anyways the cover is of a VERY good guy and it fits his description to a tee with his muscles and grey hair.  Max is in his 40s and is still smoking hot.  I love when I can connect with a male character where I am not twice his age! It makes me feel not so dirtyß see what I did there??

Max has returned to his hometown after being away 13 years.  He left in a hurry to escape his haunted memories but his memories followed him wherever he went.  He has returned to hopefully find vengeance and eventually peace.  Max’s past has involved being associated with Satan’s Creed, the local motorcycle club, although he was never a full-fledged member. After he left home he once again found himself seeking the lifestyle of a motorcycle club and eventually found himself being a member.

Em is the same age as Max, and Em’s younger sister, Dee Dee, was the girl that held Max’s attention for years.  Unfortunately these days Dee Dee has found herself wrapped up in the drugs and alcohol lifestyle of the Satan’s Creed motorcycle club and her boyfriend, Hangar, is the most psychotic MC member you will ever find.  I have read a lot of MC books and have come across a lot of characters that don’t seem quite right in the head, but Hangar wins the most psychotic prize!  Not only has Dee Dee endangered her own life, but her 12-year-old daughter, Casey, is being housed separately and chained.  Dee Dee is so strung out she doesn’t even realize what predicament her daughter is in.  Em used to be able to see Casey at the MC, but within the last year they have cut off any visits between the aunt and niece.  Em has tried unsuccessfully to involve local law authorities, but everybody is bought by the MC.

Em is married to a tool.  He is a lawyer and commutes to a larger city.  What Em ever saw in him is beyond me.  Em wants a family…husband does not.  I think Em settled when Max left town as she secretly crushed on her sister’s boyfriend and realized there would never be anything between the two of them. What Em doesn’t know is that Max also harbors feelings from the past.

Although she’s married and I have no rights to her, my memory mocks me like a jealous teenage boy.  I knew her first and had I not gotten involved with her sister, things could’ve been different.  She could’ve been mine.

Because of Max’s experience and his past association with the Creed club, Em seeks out his help in getting Casey out of there.   Max is able to get inside the gated club and what he finds sickens him.  It is not going to be so simple to get Casey out of there.

A hundred reasons why I should walk away now before getting myself further into Creed.  A thousand reasons I should call someone else for help and let them do it.

Max will continue to gain inside knowledge and befriend the club members simply for the sake of helping Em.  Max is a good and honorable man and he would never act out his impulses to harm Em’s marriage, but when the marriage falls apart there’s nothing to hold him back.

“Em, if I let go of my back against this door, I’m comin’ at you,” I tell her and watch her eyes widen.  “When I say I’m comin’ at you, I mean once I do, I won’t stop until you’re under me, begging me to stop so you can catch your breath.”

(Fanning myself after that line…) The majority of the story is told first person from Max.  Casey’s views are told third person.  At this point in the story, there is nothing that I felt was extremely dark in the storyline.  There may be a few scenes after an act has occurred where Hangar was involved, but the author did not include the first hand details.  I have read every one of Ms. Bextor’s writings, and I have never been disappointed.  She writes with detail, depth, and fluidity.  I never have to assume what a character is thinking or doing as she spells it all out for us.  I do not like any breaks in a storyline where I cannot move with the character into the next scene, and Ms. Bextor is always able to carry me with the story.  This book does not include the full story, and a second installment will be coming shortly.

Pursing her lips, her face gets serious again. “I don’t think you should get involved. “You involved me when you asked for help. It’s too late anyway. I’m already in.” “Shit,” she mumbles. Leaning forward in my seat, I rest my elbows on my knees and focus on her face to keep her attention. “I have an intro to Creed tonight. If this goes well, I could have a job. If it doesn’t go well, we will rethink the plan.” Now she looks completely defeated and we’ve only just started. “I don’t have a plan, Max,” she states, standing and putting her hand to her forehead. “What I have is a niece who needs my help, law enforcement in this shit of a town that refuses to acknowledge what’s happening in it, and the only person I think I can count on is meeting with the man who’s to blame for all of it.” “I don’t think Hoss is the biggest problem,” I inform. “If rumor is true, there’s someone else leading this, and that someone is big. Hoss is no one in comparison to who we’re really talking about.”

Blog Tour: Dear Darling by Ellen Faith

‘I’m 30 years old and sat celebrating with a greasy pizza and a bottle of cheap plonk.’

On her 30th birthday, Ellie Darling decides that it’s time to start a diary. Mainly as a reminder for when she’s old and living with cats that she once had a life that wasn’t all bad. Even if it was one where at 30 years of age, she still refused to spend that extra £3 on the good wine instead of chocolate.

But when the only proposal she gets from her boyfriend on Valentine’s Day is that of a threesome, she decides that enough is enough! With a new, improved job as Personal Assistant to one of the most feared Partners at her law firm – one that she doesn't seem to be able to stop dreaming about – Ellie decides that this will be her year. And if she has to run errands for her boss’ neurotic Russian girlfriend or drag her best friend to a sponsored cycle with her now gay first love, then so be it.

4 Star Review by Jen Skewes

On Ellie’s 30th birthday she decides that now is a better time than any to start a diary.  I mean why not, right?  Dear Darling is Ellie’s diary over the course of the year following her birthday.  We get to experience it all with Ellie, from her mishaps, to fun times with friends to falling in love.  Her journey was one that I really enjoyed and certainly laughed along the way.

Ellie has been dating a model for a few years now.  When he takes her out for Valentine’s Day, he starts professing his love for her and tells her that he has a proposal for her.  Now any woman would be thinking the same thing at this moment.  “Oh My God he is going to propose to me”  and yes that is exactly what Elllie was thinking.  But that is in no way what happened.  Instead her boyfriend wants to spice things up in their relationship and wants a threesome, with another woman, who he has already spoken to, and who is waiting in the wings to meet up with them.   What?  Yes my thoughts exactly.  Needless to say that relationship ended right there and now Ellie is back to being single.

She has a new position at working as Adam Donley’s personal assistant.  Adam is hot and sexy and also the most feared partner in the law firm.  He isn’t exactly the happiest man but that all changes when Ellie starts working for him.  The more time she spends with her new sexy boss the more she starts falling for him.  But there are two main reasons she cannot be with him.  One being that he has a girlfriend who also happens to be a complete bitch and two; well he is her boss.  But there is no denying the attraction between the two of them and it is only a matter of time before Adam finally dumps the Russian girlfriend and makes a move on Ellie.   But can these two make it work with the obstacles that they face?  You will have to read this book to find out.

I loved this book.  And I think the main reason is because of how much I can relate to Ellie and the other characters in this book.  Starting with Adam who I loved.  He is a bit of a grump at work and feared by most of the people that work there.  But you can see he has a soft side, which I think comes out more because of Ellie.  He does know how to have fun and enjoy himself especially when him and Ellie were together.  I am honestly not sure what he saw in his girlfriend because she was one of those characters that you love to hate and cringe every time she appears.  But regardless Adam is a smart man who knows how good him and Ellie are together.  And they were.  I loved the connection that they had and the banter between them.  They are the perfect match.

Ellie is feisty and says what she wants, sometimes talking a little too much.  But she has flaws and she makes mistakes.  She does things that we all do.  Like saying something that sounds good in your head and ends up embarrassing you after you say it, or sending a private text to the wrong person and no matter how hard you try you cannot get that text back.  Ellie is a normal girl like you and me who is living her life and going through the same struggles we all face.  A broken heart, fun times with friends getting drunk and falling in love.  The only difference is that this story is told in a diary form, which I loved. Ellen Faith did a fantastic job with this story and the way it was written.  I felt like I was right there with Ellie, sitting next to her as she told her story, making me laugh with her along the way.  I love her relationship with her two friends, Gina and Hannah.  They are the type of friends that every girl wants.  They are there with you for the highs and lows and everything in between.  I would love to see the both of them get their own story.  This was a wonderful , fast paced, fun and witty read that I loved.  I think my only issue is that I wanted more of Adam and Ellie.  I really hope that Ms. Faith gives us more of them in the future.

Ellen lives in the wonderful county of Yorkshire, England where she spends most of her time baking, eating, baking, and eating. Occasionally she does leave the house to go to the cinema or do some food shopping though.

After spending years with an overactive imagination, she decided to put all the magic in her head to some good use and put finger to laptop where The Story of Us was born and became her debut novel.

She loves to travel, her favourite destinations so far have all been in America, hence the love of all things, and all people, American. The food rocks pretty hard too, she ate until her jeans begged her to stop whilst she was there. True fact.

Aside from day dreaming and eating, Ellen is a sucker for a lolcat, penguins and monkeys - she has never claimed to be normal.

Review: Salvage by Tiffany Aleman

Stereotypical trailer trash. That’s how people saw me. I’m Karmen Butler, the girl everyone teased, tortured, pranked—bullied.

After graduating high school, I left my shithole of a town behind with no intentions of ever returning. My dreams were within my grasp. Or so I thought…

Luck. That’s what was on his side. Brayden Stephens was on top of the world and the biggest prick of all. At least that’s how I remember him. Then he lost it all. His vices took over and now he’s a washed-up has-been with a cocky smirk and arrogant attitude.

Valued. That was how he made me feel. One night changed everything for us. In an instant I was lost to his touch, his voice. Everything about him captivated me.

Against my better judgment, I let him in. I let him see the real me. Since he’d walked into my office, he’d been trying to redeem himself of his past mistakes.

Glimpses of a love and life I’d never known before were all he had given me. Now he’s done it, the one thing he said he wouldn’t. He’s broken me. AGAIN.

Excuses are what I was fed. The truth restrained him, bound him to his past, and now, I’m left to deal with the aftermath.

Is there anything left to SALVAGE?

I don’t know…

You tell me.

5 Star Review by Natasha Gentile

I was completely flattered when I got an email from Tiffany asking if I would like to read an arc of  her new book.  Of course I looked around the room to make sure I wasn’t being punked before I answered or rather shouted that it better not be a joke..it wasn’t’..

Stereotypical trailer trash. That’s how people saw me. I’m Karmen Butler, the girl everyone teased, tortured, pranked—bullied.

Imagine, if you can, being bullied your whole life.  She didn’t know why it happened but it did.  Nothing, absolutely nothing that she did made it go away.

She learned to keep her head down when ever she saw the ‘it’ crowd around.   She vowed once she graduated high school she would be gone, out of there, with a one way ticket to anywhere but here.  She said she was never going to go back.  She learned that you should never say never.

Luck. That’s what was on his side. Brayden Stephens was on top of the world and the biggest prick of all.

The biggest bully of all Brayden Stephens pretended to have it all.  He made sure that the spotlight wasn’t on him because if you shined it too long, you would see the hollowness of his life.  The battle scars that he wears are hidden deep, but not that deep.

Then he lost it all. His vices took over and now he’s a washed-up has-been with a cocky smirk and arrogant attitude.

Imagine his surprise when he sits down for a job in sports radio broadcasting that Karmen would be the one on the other side of the desk.  Shock and utter disbelief hits him right in the gut.  It seems the ball is in her court now, and they say Karma isn’t going to get you!

He says he’s a changed man, but does a leopard change his spots?  Only one way to find out.  Take a chance on him.  Take a chance that he isn’t that bully he was in high school.

Valued. That was how he made me feel. One night changed everything for us. In an instant I was lost to his touch, his voice. Everything about him captivated me.

Everything said tread lightly.  I couldn’t turn away from him.  I let him in, in more ways than one.  Everyday he slowly showed me that he wasn’t the boy that made all those mistakes.

Glimpses of a love and life I’d never known before were all he had given me. Now he’s done it, the one thing he said he wouldn’t. He’s broken me. AGAIN.

The illusions of what we were got shattered.  He did what he promised he wouldn’t.  Nothing I could do could help chase the demons out of him. Her heart broken yet again, except now she doesn’t know if she can salvage it.

This is a first of two books.   I loved the maturity of these characters.  I loved how we saw them in flashbacks from the past so you really connected with what they were going through.  I can’t wait for the next one!
