Release Blitz: Private Player by Louise Bay
Release Date: July 27 The first time I meet Madison Shore, I’m greeted by her knickers. She’s upside down and trying to untangle herself from my chair at a wedding. 4 Stars Review by Jen Skewes I have always loved Louise Bay’s writing. And this book was no different. If you are looking for a fast paced, sexy, heat warming story with just the right amount of drama, then Private Player is for you. Nathan and Madison meet at one of their least favorite places, a wedding. They are seated next to each other and when they first meet, Madison certainly makes an impression, with her dress caught on the chair and her knickers showing. They went from meeting at the table to sharing a bed that night. They both agreed it was nothing more than a one-night stand, and neither would see each other again. But fate has a way of stepping in. Nathan is trying to not just convince but also show the board members of his company that the company needs him. He is trying to protect himself from being fired. What better way to do that then to have the Post follow him around and write an article about him which shows him as the man the board wants him to be, not the guy that they constantly see in the papers. Madison wants to be a journalist and her dream is to work for the Post. She has just been given the assignment of a lifetime. Follow Nathan Cove around and write an article on him. But how can she write a biased article about someone that she had a one-night stand with. And what if someone finds out that they slept together. It could cause so much speculation about how she got the article and also ruin both their careers. This is her dream, and she is a good journalist. She will be professional and do what she needs to do, even if that means spending every day with the gorgeous man with the long lashes. I l oved Nathan and Madison together. And while he may be this rick guy who is known for being a player, you see that maybe the media had it all wrong. Madison is the one person who sees so much more in him than most people do. There are some complications and a secret that Madison is holding onto. But with the connection and chemistry these two had, I was rooting for them. What I loved was when Madison finally wrote her article. Despite how Nathan took it, you could see how much she really knew this man that she fell for but also see how she cared. I loved them together. I loved the dynamic between the two of them and just how good they were together. Meeting Nathan’s family and seeing how important family was to him, and how they welcomed her with open arms, even if she was just a friend, was a nice part of this story. I hope we get more from this group of characters, like Nathan’s brothers. |

Release Blitz: A Crowe's Song by Leddy Harper
A Crowe's Song by Leddy Harper is now live!
Some secrets can't stay buried forever...
A dusty old journal led me to a forgotten town full of drowned love, sunken promises, and a stranger with familiar eyes and a rumbly voice that made my soul beg for more.
Drew's dark eyes and warm, soft lips were like a memory of a place I'd never visited. They made me believe that our meeting had been set in the stars, as if Fate had schemed with Destiny and devised this elaborate plot to bring us together.
With each day I spent at Black Bird Resort, I learned more of Drew's history. And the more I learned, the more I questioned.
Until I realized just how much the past could tear us apart.
I may not have been prepared for the journey fate had led me on, but no one was prepared for the reason why.

Book Blurb:
Jett Olsson isn’t looking for anything serious and she’s not looking for anything at all, so why does it seem so hard to keep it professional? I love my life—the thrill of being on the ice as part of the Arizona Vengeance, the rush of winning, the adoration of the fans. And if that adoration means I don’t have to spend the night alone, well even better. I’m content being single and always ready to mingle. But the day Emory Holland walks into a Vengeance team meeting my attention is caught like never before. I can tell right away she’s full of smarts and sass, and the fact that she’s hot as hell sure doesn’t hurt either. She immediately shuts down my advances, so I opt for the road less traveled—straight to the friend zone. My approach works like a charm, and when she invites me into her bed for a no-strings, friends-with-benefits arrangement, I vow to give her everything I have. She’s been hurt before, and if I’m able to help her heal while giving her a spectacularly satisfying time *pats self on back*, then I’ll be happy. Or at least that’s the lie I keep telling myself as the time ticks down on the final buzzer of our “relationship”. Now the real question is, can I score the winning goal in a game neither of us realized we were playing?4 stars
Review by Trinette Dungee
Since the day Emory Holland was introduced to the Arizona Vengeance Hockey team as their Vice President of Digital Marketing and Analytics, Jett Olsson had tried to gain her attention. However, Emory has made it quite clear that the only thing that will between them is her assistance with his social media image. Jett devises a plan that eventually gets him closer to Emory and he learns that Emory’s life isn’t as simple as he thought, and her cautiousness is warranted.
Emory Holland has left her California life behind for a new start from her past, primarily the instability caused by her ex-husband. Aside from adjusting to this new life, she’s juggling being a single mom. She’s already put her trust in a man who chose a different type of life over her and their daughter, so trust is not high on her list. Jett Olsson has heartbreak written all over him. While Jett Olsson maybe sexy as sin, he’s all about having a good time and she needs a little more than that from a man. Or does she? Deciding a no-strings-attached relationship with Jett, might be just what she needs. No-strings-attached looked good on paper, but Jett is proving to be more attached than she ever thought.
Jett is the team’s player and he’s content to leave it that way. He’s watched his teammates one-by-one fall down the marriage and family hole and he has no intention of doing that. Long term relationships are not his thing. He’s finally managed to get Emory to give him a chance and he’s willing to agree to her terms. Along the way of this no-strings-attached relationship, Jett and Emory find the lines becoming more and more blurred. They are suddenly not just lovers, but friends. Jett is invested in not just Emory, but her daughter as well as her sister, Jenna. They actually become their own little family unit.
This was a different read for me. While I loved the story, I wasn’t particularly crazy about the main characters. I connected with the characters, but I didn’t necessarily like either of them. I eventually liked Jett, but I don’t think I ever completely liked Emory. There was just something about her that I couldn’t warm up to; I even went back and reread trying to see if I had missed something that could change my feelings about her, but I didn’t. I could appreciate her, but I didn’t really like her (if that makes sense).
What I love about Sawyer’s storylines in this series, is the characters might have difficulties in their relationships, but there is little to no angst. The other thing I love is her ability to weave another storyline in and not have the reader lose sight of the primary storyline. She is so good at it that she can do this with multiple storylines. In this case, it’s Baden, who was paralyzed from the waist down while saving a woman who was being mugged. The other is Riggs, the Vengeance player who is raising his younger sister. While it’s no secret he’s her guardian, the details surrounding how that happened aren't revealed yet. Can’t wait for these storylines! I’m also wondering is there will be some type of storyline for Emory’s sister Jenna, who was severely burned in a fire. Maybe it will be a Baden and Jenna storyline…..hmmmmm.

Review Tour: The Spark by Vi Keeland
4.5 Stars
Review by Lisa Kane
Autumn has just gotten back from a fun but exhausting bachelorette party in Vegas. Back to reality and laundry. But wait, these aren't her clothes, this enormous pair of shoes must certainly isn't hers. Gulps...she must have grabbed the wrong suitcase at the airport. She tracks down the owner and agrees to meet him at a coffee shop. He sounded kinda witty on the phone and she's a little intrigued. But curiosity isn't going to kill this cat-the sight of Mr. Drop Dead gorgeous just might. Sparks fly (thus the title of the story!) and the two spend a weekend together, a celibate weekend. Then to Donovan Decker's (yes this Adonis has a name!) horror, Autumn ghosted him. He has no contact info, nada.
Almost a year later and Donovan is still thinking about "the one". She never contacted him again, but every woman he dates never comes up to the standard set by his mystery woman. He puts them through these mental tests and they come up short. But he has work to keep him uber busy-he's hoping to make partner at the law firm where he works and work has to be his priority anyway.
When he's assigned a pro bono case, little did he dream that getting a juvenile cleared of charges would put him in the path of the feisty social worker handling the kid-Storm's case. That's right, she's landed in his orbit and he isn't about to let this opportunity slip by.
Now we have the ultimate cat and mouse game. The thing that makes this story stand out is Donovan's character. He's not a player, he's not out to get revenge for being dumped-this guy is head over heels gaga for Autumn and he's not afraid to show it. He's worked damn hard for his success, he was never handed anything in his life and he's willing to work just as hard to get Autumn.
Now Autumn has her own demons and they have held her back and encased her heart in ice for a very long time. She doesn't want Donovan chiseling away at the stone surrounding that organ containing her feelings. She's not about to go down in this war of wills.
The Spark is witty and poignant and down right interesting. It has enough story to hold the reader's attention and the characters are truly likeable. Don't let the hint of a love triangle hold you back-there's no angsty cheating going on. Don't lose out on a great story fearing a plot line that is non existent.
The Spark is a great summer read!
