Release Day Blitz: Good Girl by Jana Aston

 BLURB
I’ve always been a good girl.
I work hard, I follow the rules, and I always achieve my goals.
But sometimes good girls want things that aren’t good for them.
Or someone who isn’t good for them.
Like their new boss.
And sometimes they do very bad things to get his attention.
Like sell their virginity in an auction.
Who knew he’d be so very, very mad?
Maybe this was not my best laid plan…

Review by Jen Skewes

What a fun read? I have come to expect snarky and funny and witty humor from Ms. Aston. Her writing style screams real life and clever inner dialogue and I love it!

Lydia Clark is just about to start her first real job, she and her best friend Payton, have gotten jobs at the new Windsor casino in Vegas. Payton's dragged her off to a bar and wants Lydia to lighten up a bit.

"So you want me to kiss someone and then we can leave?"

Lydia spots a hot guy who she is checking out when he walks up and says he'll kiss her. Yep, hot guy is going to be her designated kisser. And can he kiss!

"You've had your kiss. You can go home now, good girl."

Lydia is a good girl, she's spent years being a Trooper, a girl's club similar to the Girl Scouts. If there was a badge to be earned, she earned it. She has a weakness for Goodwill stores, making jammies out of hold sheets and sniffing out a good bargain. This new job is making her want to branch out-this is going to be her year!

And I'm absolutely positively ditching my virginity before this year is over, so that;'' be a great big first to check off my life.

Imagine her surprise (jaw dropping to the floor!) when she sees designated kisser at work. Turns out he's Rhys Dalton, the general manager of the casino. Since she's so sophisticated and worldly, she totally makes a fool out of herself when she's in the same room with him.

"I'm so getting fired. I work in human resources and I propositioned the general manager."

Rhys is not exactly immune to Lydia's weird charms. She's been on his mind since he first saw her in that bar. Every encounter since then has just made him a little more obsessed with her.

This girl makes me feel something. Irritation mostly, because I'm thinking about her instead of this meeting.

There might be tons of chemistry between them, but Rhys isn't going to let his libido rule his head.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. So Lydia comes up with a master plan. This ones a doozy!

There lots of high jinks and witty banter and badge awarding. (I'm still waiting for the "butt stuff' badge award!) Good Girl is hysterical and sexy and damn good fun!

I'll hold onto my good girl forever.

NOW AVAILABLE

EXCERPT
He pulls me to my feet and he kisses me and he tastes like me and it's dirty and shocking and sorta oddly thrilling and primal. He unsnaps my bra. The straps slip down my arms until it falls to the floor and then I'm naked. I'm naked with Rhys. This is the best day of my life. Except he's not naked.
"You're still dressed. Am I supposed to"—I gesture to his shirt—"am I supposed to or are you supposed to? Or do you like to keep your clothes on when you have sex?"
He laughs, his eyes dancing in amusement as he unbuttons his shirt and shrugs it off. "No, I'm not going to fuck you with my clothes on, Lydia."
“Oh, thank goodness. I've really been wanting to see you naked. For a long time. Like weeks. Since the bar. The first time at the bar, not the second time. Can I take off your pants?" My fingers hover at his waistband, poised to unbutton and unzip but needing the nudge of permission.
"Please," he says and then my fingers are in motion, unbuckling, unbuttoning, unzipping. It's harder to do this in reverse, removing someone else's pants instead of your own, but I manage. I'd manage even if it was a thousand-piece puzzle instead of just a zipper and a button because I want his pants off pretty badly.
When I've got the pants undone they drop to the floor and then the only thing separating me from sex is a pair of briefs, so I make short work of those.
He's beautiful. Head to toe. I could spend all night looking at him, all month, forever. But I don't have forever or even all night since Rhys is worried about his schedule so I take in as much as I can as fast as I can. Because oh, holy crap, I know what Rhys Dalton looks like naked. The smattering of hair across his chest. His toned abs and flat stomach and the trail of hair from his belly button to his cock. The birthmark on his left hip and the definition of the lines that form on his abs. I send a silent prayer to baby Jesus that I'll get a good look at his butt before this is over because I need to know exactly what it looks like under those suit pants. Then too soon, he's moving me onto the bed because this is it. This is the sex.

Synopsis

This whole contest was supposed to be easy. I know, I know. Famous last words.

It’s a long story, but I messed up at work. Big time. To earn back the trust of my boss, I promised to save one of our magazines. Yep. That Hot Dad contest you’ve seen advertised all over the place was my idea. And if I’m successful, if I’m able to increase our online readership, then I get a shot at my dream job.

But the one thing I never expected to happen, happened: Contestant number ten, Grayson Malone. Hello, Mr. Difficult. And did I mention sexy as hell?

Unfortunately he knows me. The old me, anyway. And while we might be older now, I remind him of before. Of the woman who broke his heart, who hardened him, and who left him alone to raise the cutest little boy I’ve ever seen.

But I don’t want a relationship. And I definitely don’t fall for single dads with baggage. Even ones with chiseled abs and killer smiles.

But he got to me. They got to me. Him and his son and their messy, crazy life. But I got to him too. I see the stolen glances. I feel the walls he built start to crumble. I recognize that there’s an unexpected beauty to the chaos in his life.

And now that the contest is about to end, we’re left to decide whether the last six months were just fun or if what we have is worth risking it all?

Title: 13

Author: Rhonda James

Genre: Contemporary Romance

About 13:

“Fake it till you make it.”

A notion I once considered utterly ridiculous. Until one crazy night with a mysterious man resulted in a social media frenzy that had the entire entertainment industry talking.

Seems a fake marriage was just what my career needed to make Hollywood come knocking.

Convincing him to continue the charade was almost too easy. The chemistry between us made it impossible to keep my hands to myself. But it was all just pretend, right? Love was never in the script.

That is, until he re-wrote it.

13 Reasons You Should Stay:

  1. I’m crazy about you
  2. I make you laugh
  3. You totally dig me

Exclusive Excerpt:

The first thing I noticed were his eyes. Bottle green with the tiniest flecks of copper scattered throughout, and when the light hit them just right, those flecks sparkled in the most intriguing way. His shaggy caramel-blond hair stuck up in all directions, as if he’d been running his fingers through it all day, and the longer I stared, the more I found myself wanting to do the same thing. Tattoos circled both of his wrists, and his ears were pierced and adorned in black onyx. He had a smile that could simultaneously melt your heart and panties. Everything about him screamed male model, and if he wasn’t, then he sure as hell should be. He was that gorgeous. The bar was packed, and he was seated close. So close his muscular thigh pressed tightly against mine, making it impossible to ignore his presence. Not that I wanted to or anything.

By the time I finished examining him, I looked up and found his pouty lips were puckered as if he was deep in thought. Either that or he was thinking about kissing me. Yeah, I knew we hadn’t been formally introduced, but I’d definitely consider kissing those lips. His gaze was intense, and it roamed my entire body, slowly, as if he were cataloging every detail for later when he was alone and naked in the shower. The thought of him naked, alone or otherwise, excited me.

“No one special.” I fidgeted in my seat. “Old boyfriend.”

“If you ask me, he’s a dumbass for letting you get away. You’re much prettier than candy.”

Another blush heated my cheeks as I shook my head and responded, if only to keep him talking, “Ahh, but you haven’t seen this particular piece of candy.”

“Don’t need to. He gave you up. In my book, that’s reason enough to achieve asshole status.” He winked and tipped his glass to mine. “But, thanks to his assholery, you’re here with me. So… to assholes.”

Okay. He was definitely flirting.

Genre: Contemporary Romance
straight_amazon.jpg
Synopsis:
From New York Times bestselling author Lexi Ryan comes a sexy new standalone romance about a woman who’d do anything to have a baby and the man who’d do anything to have her…
For my 30th birthday, I’m giving myself the one thing I want most: a baby. Sure, this would be easier if I had a husband—or even a boyfriend—but I refuse to be thwarted by minor details.
When I drunkenly confess my plans to my friends, they convince me to ask Jake Jackson for help. Jake, the best friend who’s been there for me through thick and thin. Jake, who also happens to be smart, funny, ridiculously good looking, and the winner of all the genetic lotteries.
So when Jake takes me up on my request—with the stipulation that we get the job done the old-fashioned way—I’d be a fool to decline.
The only problem? I don’t know if I can separate sex from all the things I feel for this amazing man. If I can’t keep my heart under lock and key, I risk losing the relationship I need the most.
Jake has his own reasons for granting my baby wish. But when I discover his secrets, it could mean the end of us. I have to choose—run or stay and fight for love.
Fall for the boys of Jackson Harbor in Lexi Ryan’s sexy new contemporary romance series. These books can all be read as standalones, but you’ll enjoy reading them as a series!

Review by Jen Skewes

I am just loving this serious.  I adore the characters, especially the Jackson family.  Straight Up Love is a best friends to lovers romance which is one of my favorite stories to read.  And Lexi Ryan did not disappoint.

Ava is celebrating her 30th birthday and she realizes how much she wants to be a mother and that time may be running out.  She has been burned in the past and has every intention of having a baby and doing it all on her own.  Her determination and courage and strength to even want to do something like this on her own is admirable.  She knows what she wants and does not want to wait for that right person to come along, for fear that it may never happen.

Enter Jake Jackson, her best friend since she was 10.  They have been through everything together and their friendship and loyalty is just beyond amazing.  When Ava asks him for his help as always Jake is there for her.  But he wants to do this his way.  He has been in love with Ava for as long as he can remember.  He has no problem giving Ava what she wants and needs because it gives him hope that in return he will get what he has always wanted, Ava to be his.  They are best friends, and would do anything for each other, but will taking this next step risk their relationship .  If they go through with this, will Ava risk losing Jake?

I loved Jake and Ava together.  As friends, as lovers and everything to each other.  Jake is the sweetest, gentlest, caring and sexy man who would vive Ava the world.  Because when it came to her, she was/is  his world.  Ava's friendship with Jake means everything to her but over the years yo have to wonder if she ever felt the same way about Jake.  She has never admitted it to herself but the feelings are so clearly there.  I was rooting for the two of them to get past their fears and open up to each other in the one way that they haven't over the years.

This book is an emotional roller coaster.  A slow build between two best friends who are so afraid of what they feel.  So afraid of messing up.  There was drama and angst.  Truths that came out that not only shocked me but caused knots to form in my stomach.  I kept thinking why oh why?  And how would we move on from this.  I say we because I felt like I was a part of Ava and Jake's life.  I was going through this roller coaster with them and felt what they felt.   There was some heartache, and emotional moments.  But there were also fun and sexy times which I really loved.  Straight Up Love is a friends to lovers romance that will give you everything you want in a book.  A sexy hero, a lovable heroine, twists and turns, and a list of supporting characters whose story you cannot wait for.

Excerpt:
Ava’s crawling back down the bed and pulling the covers over her head.

“Can we talk about this?” I ask.

“No,” she says, her voice muffled.

I cross the room and pull the blanket off her head. I know she’s hungover, but I can’t just walk away from this conversation. I barely slept last night, freaking torn up about her pregnancy and all its implications, and now she’s telling me she’s not pregnant. She just wants to be, and she wants my help.

What the fuck does that mean?

“Talk.” I fold my arms across my chest.

“I want a family, and I’m sick of waiting for Mr. Right to come along, so I’m going to do it on my own.”

“And you want my help?” Hell. I’m trying really hard not to jump to conclusions here. Emphasis on hard.

“Yeah. I mean, no. I mean . . .” She takes a deep breath. “It sounded like a good idea last night.”

Doing baby-making things with Ava sounds like a good idea to me every minute of every hour of every damn day, but I’m quite aware that doing that with me doesn’t cross her mind nearly as often. Okay, or ever. “Last night, when you asked for my help, you meant you wanted me to get you pregnant?”

She scowls. “Are you being dense on purpose?”

“I promise I’m not.” But if ever there was a conversation where I’m going to need things spelled out for me, this is it. “I just want to make sure I understand.”

She presses her palm to her forehead. “I just wanted you to jack off in a cup and hand it to me. Not the weird way.”

Right. Because that wouldn’t be weird. “I’m sorry.” I hold up a finger. “Give me a sec.” I walk around the room, scanning the ceiling and the corners. I check behind the lamp and crack the closet to look in there.

“What are you doing, Jake?”

I spin on her. “I’m looking for the camera—the one you planted before you Punk’d me. Is that show even still a thing? Because I’m sure I’m being Punk’d right now.”

Release Blitz: Arrogant Devil by R.S. Grey

R.S. Grey's newest romantic comedy, ARROGANT DEVIL, is available now! Find out more about it below and pick up your copy today!

About ARROGANT DEVIL

Everyone in Cedar Creek, Texas, knows Jack McNight is an arrogant devil. Physically, I get it: he’s tan and fit, with coal-black hair that’s clearly been scorched by hellfire. Oh, and his personality? It burns just as hot.
When I show up on the doorstep of Blue Stone Ranch, I’m run-down and rockin’ my last pair of underwear. I’m hoping for a savior, but instead, I find him.
My opinion of Jack is marred by a dismal first impression, but his opinion of me is tainted even before I arrive. He’s heard I’m a spoiled princess there to take advantage of his goodwill. To him, I’m more trouble than I’m worth.
Our button-pushing banter should get under my skin. His arrogance should be a major turn-off. Problem is, devils are known to offer their own form of temptation.
Every one of his steely glares sends a shiver down my spine.
Every steamy encounter leaves me reeling.
Sure, it could be the Texas heat messing with my head, but there’s no way I’ll survive the summer without silencing him with a kiss and wrestling him out of those Wranglers.
Who knows…going to bed with the devil might just be the salvation I’ve been looking for all along.

Review by Lisa Kane

I don’t want this to harden my heart. I want to learn from my mistakes without swearing off love altogether.
Meredith Avery has finally gotten the guts to leave Andrew, her womanizing monster of a husband. He’s a successful Hollywood big shot who has done nothing but belittle Meredith their entire marriage. But she’s left with literally the clothes on her back and not a dime to her name.
Who pays the bills? Who buys your clothes? You’re nothing without me, Meredith-worthless.
Desperate, she calls her step sister Helen to see if she can stay with her and her husband. They aren’t close, actually Helen doesn’t really like Meredith. But she has no other options. Turns out Helen’s house is being renovated and she is in Paris with her husband. But she calls in a favor to her boss Jack McKnight, and asks if he can give Meredith a job while she’s away. So Cedar Creek here she comes!
Big mistake.
“You’d also cook meals, do laundry, wash the dog-that sort of thing. Toilets need cleaning at least once a day-you saw the guys that’ll be using ‘em, and tonight is chili night. “
From their first meeting they hate each other. Jack thinks Meredith is a spoiled rich girl who wants attention from her husband. He’s arrogant and nasty. Half the town won’t give him the time of day. He might have money, but he’s bankrupt in friends.

I have nine wrinkled dollars.

I have a new boss who already thinks the worst of me.

I have a job that will put my face near men’s toilets every day.

These two don’t exactly get along like a house on fire. But there’s something there. Maybe its chemistry, maybe it’s an outbreak of E coli-who knows?
Meredith takes to this town like a duck to water. People can’t help but like her-she’s made a huge friend with Jack’s grandmother Edith. (talk about a hoot that’s crazy as a loon and as wise as a sage!) They share a love for yoga and long talks.

I love her because she understands exactly what I need before I even work up the courage to ask. I love her because she never asks me to open up to her and never demands my secrets.

Edith almost makes up for that jackass Jack.

“You have a husband back home worrying himself sick over you, and I don’t think you care. I think you like the attention, and I think you like playing games with men you have no intention of loving.”

I’d like to play a game with Jack. It’s called pushing this idiot in front of an oncoming bus.

Meredith isn’t made of Teflon. Words stick and hurt.

“I even find it all a little hilarious-I escape from hell just to run right into the arms of the devil.”

So what’s it going to take for Jack to see what is right under his nose? Arrogant Devil is delicious and full of gooey, messy sexual tension. But it has lots of poignant moments that will hurt your heart. See, something for everyone!

“Love is supposed to make us fools.”

“Oh yeah? What does that make you?

He smiles and tips his head down to kiss me. “The biggest fool of them all.”

Review Blitz: The Dating Experiment by Emma Hart

1.Get over my best friend’s brother.

2.Remember that I’m over him.

3.Prove I can date other people.

It should be easy.

It’s not.

Setting up a dating website with the guy I’ve been in love with since I was five wasn’t my smartest idea.

Especially since he’s my best friend’s brother—thankfully, she’s okay with the fact I’m pulling a Sandy and I’m hopelessly devoted to him.

Which is why it’s time to get over him.

So I do something crazy and ask Dominic Austin to find me a date. He does—if I find him one, too.

Since we own Stupid Cupid, it should be easy, right? And it is.

My date is perfect. His date is perfect. Everything is perfect.

Until he kisses me…

Three dates.

One kiss.

And a big-ass mess…

4 stars
Review by Lisa Kane

I’d spent five years matching other people, while I’d been in love with my co-worker and brother’s best friend the entire time.

Dom and Chloe’s story was the one I was most anticipating in this three part series. Chloe Collins is Peyton’s best friend (Peyton owns a hook up matching service) and Dom Austin is Peyton’s brother Chloe has secretly been in love with Dom for years (the only one in the dark for that secret is Dom) Dom and Chloe own Stupid Cupid a successful dating service. They have been at each other’s throats for years.

Dom is forgetful (he loses his keys at least once a week) and Chloe organizes everything she can get her OCD hands on. They are oil and vinegar. But Chloe would rather have someone who is the cream to her strawberry.

Chloe let it slip to Dom in a heated moment that she had a crush on him. But never let on for how long, if she still did, no other details. And he never followed up on it. So Chloe is done, finished with her feelings for Dom. Her friends have told her to move on, he is never going to return her feelings.

“But I don’t want to be anymore. It’s time that Chloe Collins broke free of the crap spell Dominic Austin wove on her. Sabrina the Teenage Witch wouldn’t tolerate it.”

So Chloe comes up with a plan to find the perfect match for Dom. So perfect that even she wouldn’t feel like he could have done better.

“And then I’ll be able to get over him, right? That’s how it works. He’ll be happy with whoever I match him with, and I can move on.”

When she challenges Dom to see if the other can find the perfect match for them, he accepts. That’s when things get interesting and we see Dom’s POV. Seems Mr. Austin has been hiding a few things of his own.

She needed someone to be to her what she was to them.

She needed that. She needed someone just as strong as she was.

Dom has a few insecurities of his own he needs to work through.

Most of the story is taken up by hilarious miscommunications and barbs thrown between Dom and Chloe. When will these two ever grow up and just admit what is going on?

Had he allowed me to set him up originally for the same reason I’d had him set me up? To move on? To get over him? Was he trying to get over me?
