Review: Winter Kisses by Addison Moore

Having a one-night stand with your ex is never easy. She thinks its revenge sex. He thinks its make-up sex. Things can only go wrong from here.

4 Star Review by Lisa Kane

Laney and Ryder thought they were building a future together. Until last year when Ryder screwed up and Laney decided she wasn't up to playing second fiddle to another woman-in this case two women-Ryder's mom and the girl she wants Ryder to marry, Meg.

Almost a year has gone by and Laney still misses Ryder. When he turns up with his mother at a fund raising event that she is participating in, she finds it hard not to show her feelings. Ryder ends up bidding on her and winning her company for a night, it gives both these stubborn love sick fools an excuse to reconnect.

Ryder has regretted the night he screwed up with Laney for months. He wants nothing more than to get her back but she'd made him promise to stay away from her and he didn't want to make her more upset. But now that she has to spend time with him, he isn't going to let her get away from him again.

Familiar characters from 3:AM Kisses are in this one. Baya and Bryson and Roxy who is set to move in with Cole, Baya's brother now that Baya and Bryson are moving in together. Their reactions are still over the top and this book is more of a light romantic comedy with a little bit of dram and angst thrown in.

Ms. Moore is the queen of one liners:

He eyes Ryder like a snake in the grass, slithering its long phallic member ever so close to my forbidden forest.

Ryder is sweet and loving and determined to have Laney back no matter what. He won't let his mother manipulate the situation any more nor will he put up with Meg and her ridiculous attempts at seduction. Laney was hurt and devastated when Ryder screwed up but she knows that being with him is what her heart desires most. But first, he has to pay a little for the pain he caused.

I do love Ryder. But I'll be damned it those words ever leave these lips again.

I love this series and can't wait for Cole and Roxy's story when Sugar Kisses releases early next year.
