4 star review by Jen Skewes

This is Ryan Knox's story.  At the end of Maybe This Time I was left wondering how it was even possible that Ryan had a wife and what happened to cause them to be separated.  I always love a story about second chances and This Time Around is exactly that.

I loved Ryan when we first met him.  I loved the friendship that he had with Summer, his brother's girlfriend.  .  They connected from the moment they met so I couldn't wait to get more of him.  Turns out the boy that we all love , the one that sleeps around has been married this whole time.  to his high school sweetheart.  Ryan and Tay fell in love in high school and got married at a very young age.  They were so in love that they didn't see any reason for waiting to start their life together.  But when one fight turned into one big  misunderstanding, Tay took off leaving behind a letter and nothing more.  Ryan's heart was broken and the only way he knew how to try to move on was to drown himself in other woman.  Always seems like the way to go.  But it's now a year later and Tay is back in town and Ryan will stop at nothing to make her his again.  But Tay has other plans.

Tay is back in town and all she wants from Ryan is for him to sign the divorce papers.  He crushed her heart over a year ago and she just wants to move on.  Plus knowing that the whole year that they have been apart he has been sleeping with other woman doesn't exactly sit well with her.  How can he love her and yes sleep with all those woman while still technically married.  But the truth is that Tay told him to move on, Tay left and ended it without even hearing any explanation from Ryan.  But none of that matters now.  Tay wants a divorce and letting Ryan back into her life and her heart is not happening.  She still loves him but is so afraid of her heart getting broken all over again and there is also that small issue of trust that is keeping her away.  Will those two find their way back to each other?  Will Tay be able to put the past behind them and trust the man that still holds her heart?

I love chant al's writing and her characters.  The men are always hot and sexy alpha males with a little bit of a sweet side.  And Ryan was just that.  A hot and sexy alpha male with a heart.  He loved Tay and would do anything for a second chance and to make up for what happened over a year ago.  I loved hs relationship with is twin brother Reid.  I think they were alike yet different in so many ways.  They were both looked out for and protected those they loved.  And his relationship was Summer, his future sister-in-law was so fun and enjoyable to watch.  She was more that a sister to him she was also his best friend and I loved that we got to see more of them.

There was a little bit drama but nothing these two couldn't handle.  This was Taiya and Ryan's story of a second chance at love.  They will make you laugh and Ryan will make you swoon.  Another great job by Ms. Fernando.  Cannot wait for  Xander's story!!
