Review: Legal Affairs (Volumes 1-3) by Sawyer Bennett

OBJECTION

One year ago, I graduated from law school and embarked on a career as a purveyor of high priced legal shenanigans.
Six months ago, my boyfriend dumped me when I thought he might be proposing.
Two weeks ago, I got drunk and joined a secret sex club.
Two days ago, I had a torrid one-night stand with a stranger.
Today? Well, today I’m contemplating having an affair with my boss.

Matt Connover is all kinds of forbidden temptation wrapped up in a deliciously wicked package, and he’s made it clear… he’s only interested in sex.

My name is McKayla Dawson but everyone calls me Mac. I work at the powerhouse firm of Connover & Crown, LLP, where the law has never felt so hot.

But between you and me, I’m afraid my heart won’t survive these Legal Affairs.

4 STAR REVIEW By Jen Skewes

After reading the first volume of Legal Affairs I just know that this is going to be a fantastic series.

Mac is a great heroine.  She is funny, witty, strong and I just love her.  Her boyfriend recently dumped her and she has basically thrown herself into her work.  Her best friend has convinced her to join One Night Stand, which is a club for people who want just that.  It is for people who want no feelings and just one night of sex and fun.  No real names needed, no feelings involved.  Just one night.  Mac reluctantly gives in and ends up having an amazing night of sex and passion with number 134.  She knows this is just one night and then she will never see 134 again.  Until she finds out his true identity.

Matt Connover isn't just her new boss, he is also the man that she had one night of amazing and passionate sex with.  Hmmmm.. so how is this going to work?  Mac and Matt have a physical connection that they cannot deny.  But the question is can they ignore it?  Can they strictly have a working relationship only and deny the attraction that they have for each other?

This is the beginning or a great serial romance.  I am already in love with the characters and wanting more.  It is a quick, fun and sexy read.  Can't wait to see what comes next.

Stipulation

I crossed a line with my boss and there’s no taking it back.

Not that I’d want to.

You see… Matt Connover? Well, he’s something else. Strong, magnetic, sexy as hell… but yeah, he’s still my boss.

What am I doing? Why is he so irresistible to me? Maybe it’s because I finally saw a different side to him. I saw, for a brief moment, that Matt is vulnerable, possibly damaged. Is it wrong that it makes him even sexier in my opinion?

I’m in deep and I don’t see any way out.

I don’t want to find a way out.

I want to find a way for both of us to stay involved in these Legal Affairs.
~ McKayla “Mac” Dawson

Legal Affairs is a serial romance with a whole lot of hot and a little bit of funny. It has six volumes that will be released every two weeks.

4 Star Review by Jen Skewes

I cannot get enough of these two characters and honestly not sure how much longer I can wait for the next one.  Two weeks seems like forever.

Mac has found out that number 134, the man she had one night of hot passionate sext with, is her boss.  Yep her boss and now she is debating whether or not to cross that line.  She knows that Matt wants nothing more that sex and knows that having sex with her boss is all kinds of wrong.  But how do you resist someone as hot and sexy as Matt.  And I have to say the sex between them and is HOT.  The chemistry is off the charts.  And Matt wants her there is no doubt about that.  So here's the thing.  I love Matt but he can be a complete jerk a times.  He is all hot and sexy and amazing when they are together and then the next minute he is an ass.  But I think there is a lot more to Matt that the hot, arrogant, cocky lawyer tat everyone see.  And I am hoping that we find out exactly what that is.  And honestly I can't get enough of him.

I still love Mac and I love that as much as she wants Matt she had no intentions of being a door mat.  Loved the end of this one and cannot wait to see what happens next.

Another fantastic volume to this series.

Violation

My life is in a tail-spin and I’m about ready to crash.

I’ve cut Matt Connover out of my life… well, at least out of my bedroom… but I still have to deal with him at work. I have Lorraine intent on raining hell and destruction down upon me, which at least provides a nice diversion from my miserable feelings over Matt.

About the only good thing that has happened to me lately?
Cal Carson asked me out… and I accepted.

Matt’s not going to like that. Not one little bit.
But that’s not my problem now, is it?

4.5 Star Review by Jen Skewes

Each novella in this series just keeps getting better and better.  We last left off with Mac walking away from Matt and cutting him out of her life.  I guess I should say out of he bed since he is her boss.  But this is Mac and Matt we are talking about so we all now that won't last very long.

We find out some more answers in this installment.  that perhaps not everything is as it seems, such as a date with Lorraine.  Was it really a date?  Hmmmm.

Most importantly, for me at least, we find out a little more about what makes Matt the way he is. Why he is so set against having a relationship, especially when you can clearly see the Mac has an affect on him and it not just sex to him.  All though he thinks it is, I for one think that there is a lot more going on.  But you really begin to understand Matt.  And while at times he may seem to be a jerk you realize that deep down he has feeling, he has a heart.  But at one time in his life that heart was crushed, turning him into the man he is today.  We are slowly peeling back the layers of Matt and I cannot wait for more.  I love him and need more!!

The ending left me a huge smile on my face and wanting more.  I love Matt and Mac and cannot see wait to see where their relationship goes.
