Review: The Rocker Who Wants Me by Terri Anne Browning

Axton
I thought I had everything I needed in life. More money than I would ever spend in my lifetime. A successful band that traveled all around the world. Girls throwing themselves at me on a daily basis. A kind of pseudo family in the Demon’s Wings guys and Emmie. And then she fell into my life. The second my eyes landed on the blonde bombshell with her sassy mouth and those hot piercings and tats, I knew that I’d finally found someone I wanted for life.

Dallas
I fell hard for a Rock God. When it was over, I was left shattered. But I was stronger than anyone—especially my mother—gave me credit for. I picked myself up and worked my ass off to get through nursing school, putting the rest of my life on hold to finally fulfill my dreams.

When tragedy strikes, Dallas and Axton are thrown together again. Dallas is along for the ride as OtherWorld goes on a three month tour. Will Axton finally be able to convince her that his feelings go deeper than he first let her see? Or will Dallas be left wondering if Axton Cage was just THE ROCKER WHO WANTS Me?

4.5 Loved Loved Loved It Stars!

Review by Lisa Kane

Throughout this series, I have had a soft spot for Axton Cage and Dallas Bradshaw. They have had so much angst and misunderstanding. Every time it would seem that they could make things work, something or namely someone-Gabriella Moreitti, would come between them.

Dallas has been standing by Liam from the band, OtherWorld. He has struggled with his drug addiction, been dumped by Gabriella and pretty much ostracized by his band mates. She is the sole visitor who goes to see him every Sunday. Axton is convinced that they have something more than friendship going on between them -but he is wrong.

While at work New Years Eve in the ER, a group involved in a motor vehicle accident comes in and one of the individuals is Liam. He is in a bad way, with multiple serious issues. She makes sure he is tested for drugs before they administer anything. Even though he's just gotten out of rehab, Dallas isn't positive that he didn't have a relapse. But he's clean and he undergoes surgery. Little by little the other band members come in along with Gabriella. She is distraught and Dallas starts to wonder if she really does have feelings for him. Maybe she broke things off, not because she is in love with Axton, but because she couldn't take his drug issues any longer, and she needed to protect her nephew.

When Axton comes in Dallas can't help but feel the draw to him that she has always felt. This man broke her heart and she will be damned if she will risk it again. Or so she tells herself.

This story is told from both POV's so we feel the anguish in Axton's thoughts. He loves Dallas and hasn't been with anyone else since he spent the night with her after Shane and Harper's wedding night. He will do what it takes to get her back, even if she is involved with Liam.

Liam eventually recovers, and Dallas' contract at the hospital is up. So Emmie arranges for Dallas to be Liam's private nurse, and will need to go on tour with the band for the next 3 months. Although there will be 2 separate buses, that is still too close for comfort for her. She knows she won't be able to resist Axton if he comes on to her. Which of course he does!

There are some new issues in this story-we are finally introduced to Axton's mother (the she devil from hell) and we see a sweet side to Dallas' father. There is an interesting connection that these two families share. The other band members have some infighting going on-of course there is tension over a female character. Gabriella and Liam are still at odds and these new story lines will set up future books.

I adore the main couple in this one! They may be stubborn and pig headed at times, but they truly care about each other and their friends. Slowly their barriers are broken down, exposing them at their most vulnerable. There is steam and lust and passion. Finally the issue of Gabriella is settled and they can start fresh with their focus on each other and not blinded by others.

The ending is so sweet and it may have just made my eyes a little wet. Probably my favorite thing about this series is the interaction of all the Demon's Wings' characters in the books. How could we do without them. I love how each has found their HEA and the women who rock their world! So looking forward to the stories yet to come!
