Blog Tour Review: A Week in New York by Louise Bay

A sexy, romantic fiction novella series
Installment #1
Release: October 21, 2014
Each novella is around 30k words

Anna Kirby is sick of dating. She's tired of heartbreak. Despite being smart, sexy, and funny, she's a magnet for men who don't deserve her.
A week's vacation in New York is the ultimate distraction from her most recent break-up, as well as a great place to meet a stranger and have some summer fun. But to protect her still-bruised heart, fun comes with rules. There will be no sharing stories, no swapping numbers, and no real names. Just one night of uncomplicated fun.
Super-successful serial seducer Ethan Scott has some rules of his own. He doesn't date, he doesn't stay the night, and he doesn't make any promises.
It should be a match made in heaven. But rules are made to be broken.
A Week in New York is the first in a series of three novellas.

4.5 Star Review by Jen Skewes

Oh My God, this book!  I need the second installment like now!!  I fell in love with Ethan and Anna and need to know that after their amazing week together that they find their way back.  This book was sweet, fun and oh so very sexy.  But at the same time I felt the emotions of the two characters and the end, oh my god the end.

Anna is in NY with her best friend for a week.  She has sworn off men, especially after the fiasco with her last boyfriend.  She is tired of the lies and the heart ache.  But when she sees a very sexy stranger in a bar one night she thinks that maybe she needs to have a little fun while she is on vacation.  It can't hurt right.  A no strings attached night with a sexy man.  But there are rules; no names, no contact, no intimacy.  Just good hot sex.

Ethan is sexy, successful and the type of guy that will melt your panties in an instant.  But he himself has his own set of rules.  He doesn't date, doesn't do romance or relationships.  He always lets women know ahead of time what they are getting into with him.  When he sees Anna across the room he wants her, in his bed.  And he has no problem with following her rules for the night.  Until the next morning when he wants more of her.  He finds himself wanting to know where she is and what she is doing.  He wants and needs more time with her.  They agree to just one week.  One week where Anna is his, and at the end of the week she will go back to London never to see each other again.  Two people who have rules.  It's just sex and nothing more.  But sometimes rules are meant to be broken and just sex turns into so much more.  So what happens at the end of the week when it is time to say goodbye?

Can I just say how much I loved this novella and cannot wait for the next one.  It was very sexy and steamy but at the same time sweet and fun.  Ethan may have his rules but seeing things from his POV you can see how much of an affect Anna has had on him.  And that maybe once in his life there is a woman that is worth breaking the rules for.  I loved how sweet he could be one minute and then so sexy the next.  The sex and chemistry between them was off the charts.  I loved Anna and thought they were perfect together.  This is the beginning of what is going to be an amazing series.  I felt the attraction, and the connection between the two of them.  It may have been just sex to them but as the reader I felt it becoming much more.  I also felt for the two of them at the end and found my stomach in knots when the week was up.  Hoping and praying that it didn't have to end.   That somehow it would all be ok.  I cannot tell you what happened or how this ended of course.  But trust me when I say READ THIS BOOK!!  You will not be disappointed.

About the Author

I write sexy, romantic, contemporary novels - the kind I like to read!
Ruined by romantic mini-series of the seventies and eighties, I love all things romantic. There's not enough of it in real life so I'll settle for books and films.
I love the rain, the West Wing, London, days when you don't have to wear make-up, being alone, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
