Review: You and Everything After by Ginger Scott

I'm that teenaged girl who has MS. You haven’t met me, but you’ve seen me around. You probably know my sister. We’re twins, and she’s the pretty one. Maybe you’ve heard about my reputation, how much I like to hook up at parties—how easy it is to get me in bed, get what you want, and forget about me after.

Forget what you think you know. I’m leaving that girl behind.

College is all about new beginnings. So from now on—I’m just Cass. And the rest…it isn’t written yet. And no one else gets to write my story for me.

--------

“Tyson Preeter doesn’t do can’t.”

That’s exactly what I want people to think when they see me. I am strong, invincible, confident, intelligent—arrogant. I’m the man who always finds a way around, over and through—until there’s nothing left. Since losing my ability to walk six years ago, I’ve relearned life. I don’t need sympathy. I don’t want charity. And I don’t do love.

It’s better this way, saves my disappointments for me, and me alone, and it saves my strength for everything I want.

But Cass Owens is about to wreck everything. She’s about to steal all of my strength away from me, because she needs it more. She’s about to break all of my rules, and break down all of my walls. She’s about to own me…completely.

And I’m about to let her.

* This is the second book in the Falling Series, and it is scheduled to release Dec. 5. Book 1, This Is Falling, is out now. Each book can be read as a standalone and will focus on a different couple.

4.5 Steller Stars!
Review by Allison East

I love Ginger Scott's writing. She is an auto-1-click  author for sure, and I am like a fiend for her stories. I knew when I read How to Deal with Gravity- I needed more. Then we got This is Falling, and I fell in love with Nate and Rowe- I still needed more. Now- You and Everything After is Nate's brother Tyler's story, and his love interest, Cass.

"Careful Cass, or I'll trap you in a bottle and keep you forever."

Ty Preeter- I wanted his story, badly. I wanted to know more about the funny, cocky, lovable brother of Nate, when I read This is Falling. And I am so glad I got it. When he was younger he lost his dreams- but that didn't stop him. He still was able to go to school, work out, and attract a ton of girls! (yeah he's a player) And now he is back at school earning his Masters, rooming with Nate- and that's when he meets Cass- his ninja princess.

I have a girlfriend. This is my girlfriend. This is Cass Owens, and she is my undoing, and I go willingly.

Cass Owens was confident- even though she was scared, because of having MS. And having to give up soccer in high school; physically and mentally hurt her. She is ready to start her life, and doesn't want to have to start over. She meets Ty, and is instantly attracted and doesn't judge a book by its cover. She actually starts training with him, and he's convinced she can join the college level soccer team!

She's standing before me- nothing but a small pair of cotton shorts on, and I swear I've found religion.

Ty felt something for Cass he hadn't felt in a long time. He actually wanted someone in his life. And he didn't want to lose her. He was super confident, but also scared at the same time. From past experience he knows how hard it will be to maintain a relationship with him. His longtime girlfriend ended up leaving him after his accident and has since married and has a baby. He wishes her well, but it still hurts.

He's like magic. That's the only way to describe what Ty does when I'm feeling less.

Cass needs Ty, it's evident. He is giving her strength to conquer her fears every day. He is making her feel strong, like she used to feel before this disease. They build each other up, and sometimes knock each other down- there is love and angst in this wonderful NA story.

Cass' sister- Paige, her story is next, I can't wait to find out more about her. She is a little bit of a mystery- and not exactly the warmest character in this series. I think getting inside her head will be a trip!
