BLOG TOUR September 6th-20th
EL DIABLO
RELEASE DATE: AUGUST 30TH, 2016
I was ruthless.
I was feared.
I had sacrificed. Myself. Her. Everything...
Living in a world where I was worth more dead than alive was
a choice. I was a bad man, never claimed to be anything else. I’ve done things
I’m not proud of. Seen things that can’t be unseen. I’ve caused pain that I
can’t undo.
a choice. I was a bad man, never claimed to be anything else. I’ve done things
I’m not proud of. Seen things that can’t be unseen. I’ve caused pain that I
can’t undo.
It was all my choice.
Every decision.
Every order.
Right and wrong never mattered.
Until her.
She was under my protection, until she became my obsession.
But who was going to save her...
From. Me. The devil himself.
Fate brought us together. Destiny destroyed us.

Every Devil needs and Angel. And she was mine.
M Robinson never fails to draw me into her web of complicated, original story lines. I think I know what I am getting into, but in the end, I am always wrong. Delightedly wrong.
Alejandro Martinez lives in a world of violence. His father is one of the major players in the Columbian underworld. His influence in the States is without precedent. He is groomed at a early age to take what he wants, to rule over all and to enjoy the delights of women. And those are just the lessons he learned at the age of 15. He adores his mother and his sister, Amari. We know of Amari from Crave Me. She was Briggs' mother. Alejandro raised Briggs after her parents' deaths. There is much to be told about their story.
"I love you, Alejandro. You'll always be my brother, no matter what. I'll always be a Martinez, and with that name comes purgatory."
El Diablo takes place over decades. Much of the story is his rise to power but at the center is his complicated, messy, hard to understand, heartbreaking relationship with Lexi. Who is she? What is her connection to him? Why is he so obsessed with her safety, even from him?
"Now, allow me to introduce myself, here's the man behind the expensive fucking suits. Is he everything you thought he would be?"
So many times over the course of their story my heart broke for them. He will never let anything or anyone hurt her. Even though he is the one that cuts the deepest, right into her soul. Over and over again he takes her under his wing and then pushes her away. Why? I know he loves her and yet he can't let himself be with her.
"The things I regret, haven't happened yet."
So many Kindle throwing moments and yet I could not stop reading. I had to know why and how and what if. I have yet to read a book by this author that did not frustrate me, drive me crazy and captivate me within its pages.
I knew now more than ever that maybe, I wasn't meant to have a happy ending, a happily ever after. Maybe there were just some people in the world that were born alone and died alone. It was called shitty luck.
El Diablo has so many twists and turns it might as well be a labyrinth. You think you know the truth, you don't. You think you know why El Diablo is like he is, you don't. You think you have Lexi all figured out. Again, you don't. So just turn the pages and read the words and try to keep your jaw from falling open and most of all-enjoy!
"You were the villain in your own story, Martinez. In mine, you've always been my hero."

“Go stretch again, cariƱo,” I ordered in a dominant tone. Nodding to the barre.
“I’m fine,” she stubbornly replied. Shaking her legs and arms out. Getting back into position, looking at me through the mirror.
I cocked my head to the side, arching an eyebrow. She narrowed her eyes at me, but begrudgingly listened. I pressed play, allowing the melody to once again take over. She placed her leg on the lowest barre, making her ass stick out in my direction.
Tempting me.
She closed her eyes, needing to get lost in the music, wanting to push away all the negative thoughts, already feeling discouraged. I stood, taking off my suit jacket. Rolling up the sleeves of my collared shirt as I stepped onto the hardwood floor. I slowly came up behind her, catching her off guard.
She froze, turning around, opening her eyes. Peering up at me through her lashes. “What are you doing?”
I leaned forward against her ear, grinning. “I’m helping you stretch.” Getting down on my knees in front of her.
Her eyes dilated. The feeling of disappointment replaced with nothing but lust. She placed her arms out to the side, resting up against the barre, supporting her weight. I grabbed her ankle, lifting it up in the air, rubbing along her leg as it was fully stretched, before setting it on the lowest barre. Running my other hand up her side, easing her over toward the extended leg. She understood what I was doing, reaching for her ankle, stretching. Standing back up, bringing her arms above her head, I caressed along her leg again, casually turning her torso so her leg was still placed on the barre behind her.
Her breathing hitched as I touched her all over her lower body. My lips softly kissing the inside of her thigh to where she wanted my mouth the most.
