Rosie
They say that life is a beautiful lie and death a painful truth. They're right.
No one has ever made me feel more alive than the guy who serves as a constant reminder that my clock is ticking.
He is my forbidden, shiny apple.
The striking fallacy to my blunt, raw, truth.
He is also my sister's ex-boyfriend.
One thing you should know before you judge me;
I saw him first. I craved him first. I loved him first.
Eleven years later, he waltzed into my life, demanding a second chance.
Dean Cole wants to be my bronze horseman. My white knight has finally arrived. Hopefully, he isn’t too late.
Dean
They say the brightest stars burn out the fastest. They’re right.
She sets my mind on fire.
All smart mouth, snarky attitude and a huge heart.
In a world where everything is dull, she shines like fucking Sirius.
Eleven years ago, fate tore us apart.
This time, I fucking dare it to try.
Getting to her is a battlefield, but man, that’s why they call me Ruckus.
Rosie LeBlanc is about to find out how hard I can fight.
I really love this series and I think that Dean may just be
my favorite hero. There was something about
him that I just loved. He was a complete
douche at times and even in the opening scene to the book you want to hate him,
but you can’t and I will explain why in a second.
Dean is young and rich and a complete player. He goes from one woman to the next, sometimes
two in one night. He is not the
relationship kind of guy at this point in his life, but I think it has to do
with the one woman that he has wanted but could never have. Dean and Rosie have known each other since
high school, when he dated her sister.
Yes you rad that correctly. But
trust me there is no issue here with the past because right now it is all about
Rosie and how much Dean wants her. What
we see is just how connected these two are and how in a way they always have
bee. Rosie has loved Dean from afar,
never admitting her feelings to him or anyone else. She has her reasons, not believing that they
should be together. Dean has accepted it
over the years, his reasons for being a man whore, but he is done. He wants her and he will make her see just
how much.
This is why I loved Dean. He wanted Rosie, he knew how good
they would be together, and how connected they really were. And he went for it. He chased after her until he made her
his. He protected her, loved her and
cared for her. He knew her issues and
did not care. She is the only woman that
he has ever wanted for more than just one night, the only woman that he could
see himself in a relationship with, and by God he was going to make it happen. He can be an ass at times but deep down he
really is a loveable person who has a heart.
I really loved Rosie and completely understand her reasons
for pushing Dean away. But she deserved
to be happy. I loved her attitude, I
loved how she knew how to handle Dean and while she was in love with him, she
was still a very strong woman. I felt
for her at times given the way she was treated by her parents or how they
looked at her. But she was a fighter and
wanted to be independent and live her life.
Dean and Rosie were two characters that were just perfect
together. They understood each other and
were just meat to be. This series is fantastic
and while this can be read as a stand alone I do suggest reading Defy and Vicious
first.
