Release Blitz: Love Machine by Kendal Ryan

A best-friends-to lovers standalone romance from New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan.

After a rather uncomfortable ladies’ night involving a cucumber-wielding instructor with judgy eyes, I’m forced to admit my weaknesses. Rather than point blame at my lack of a sex life, I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work.

As a junior executive who’s clawed her way up the corporate ladder, failure is not in my vocabulary. Confident and bold in other areas of my life, I have to admit it’s time to up my bedroom game.

Asking my friend Slate Cruz is really the only option. Slate is like a walking billboard for sex. The man gets more ass than a toilet seat. There’s no way I’ll want more from this playboy than a little inspiration to revive my inner sex kitten.

Except, what happens if I do?

Review by Lisa Kane

What if you just wanted to be better at sex? What would you do, who would you do? Who would you ask for help? Keaton Henly, a software saleswoman is smart and beautiful and feels so out of place when it comes to men. She just doesn't have "it" like her friends. She wants to be better. But what's a gal to do?

I met Slate during my freshman year of college through mutual friends, and now it seems like we've known each other forever.

Keaton's best friend is Slate Cruz, manwhore extraordinaire! Gorgeous, talented and the guy she trusts most in this world. Who better than to teach her how to be better at sex?

One drunken night and a slew of texts later, she's left Slate wondering if she's for real or not.

How about you stop making jokes and help me become a better lover?

Slate thinks maybe she won't remember any of this the next day.

But just in case she does,

If she wants me to be her personal love machine, let's face it, I'll jump at the chance.

Now before I go on, let me just throw this out there...there's a paragraph where Keaton is thinking how yummy Slate looks. His toned chest...and his "handsome Adam's apple." Now I think almost any part of the human body can be sexy, but never, ever have I thought about a man's Adam's apple. I will have to rethink what I've always thought was sexy on a man, lol.

Let's continue...

Slate agrees to be Keaton's wingman. I think she back peddles a bit but still wants his help. He's very forthcoming with the encouraging words:

"Literally any man in this room would be honored to introduce his dick to you, Keaton."

Can you imagine a stronger friendship than theirs?

Only it seems maybe Keaton doesn't need too much help after all. Slate might be just a little conflicted about all of this.

"Hey, listen buddy...sorry, but tonight's gonna be a no-go."
Greg blinks like an owl behind those big glasses. "Why?"
"She had wicked diarrhea earlier. If she's been in the bathroom that long, I'm guessing her bowels must be flaring up again."

Yep, he totally threw Keaton under the irritable-bowel bus.

Love Machine is funny and a little angsty and has some really poignant moments. Two friends who love each other like crazy, just might love each other in a crazy way.

"Love is friendship, but it is friendship with fire in its belly."
