Review: Luck of the Devil by Meghan March

Blurb

New York Times bestselling author Meghan March continues the story of ruthless, calculating billionaire Jericho Forge in Luck of the Devil.

My poker face has always been one of my greatest assets, along with my grit and determination. I was beholden to no one. Asked permission for nothing.
Then Jericho Forge took my life by storm.
I traded my freedom for something infinitely more precious, but I didn’t realize he was holding an unbeatable hand.
Now, all I have to do is survive the high-stakes game that is my life—with my heart intact.
But not falling in love with Forge? That will take the luck of the devil.

Luck of the Devil is the second book of the Forge Trilogy, and should be read following Deal with the Devil. The Forge Trilogy concludes in Heart of the Devil.

Review by Lisa Kane

This series has lost none of its intrigue and suspense! When Deal with the Devil ended on that huge cliffy, India Baptiste (really, it's India Forge now) left Jericho's island with Bastien de Vere, his sworn enemy. Bastien is up to no good and is determined to ruin Jericho's life. Jericho is no fool and and what's his will stay his...and that means India.

My business is my life. That's one thing that never changes, no matter what. But today, I let myself get sidetracked. Because of her.

Look for some familiar beloved characters from some previous series (Score!) In Luck of the Devil, we see Jericho slowly thawing from his hardened shell and Indie letting down her guard long enough to trust Jericho with something other than her body.

What would it be like to always know someone would be there to catch you, no matter what? That you will never fall? That you're safe?

There are troubles from within as well as forces trying to teat these two apart. Indie doesn't even know secrets about her that will leave her head spinning. It's a fine line that Jericho is walking just to keep his marriage together, a marriage he never knew he wanted.

"I might not be a good guy, but I'm not the fucking devil you want me to be either."

Of course, just when it seems maybe they are on the right track and both want to make things real between them...Boom it all explodes and we are left with the mother of all cliffys!
