Blog tour: Bully by Penelope Douglas

Title: Bully
Series: A Fall Away Novel, Book #1
Author: Penelope Douglas
Genre: New Adult Contemporary Romance
Release Date: June 17, 2013
Tour Organized by: As the Pages Turn

Synopsis

My name is Tate. He doesn't call me that, though. He would never refer to me so informally, if he referred to me at all. No, he'll barely even speak to me.

But he still won't leave me alone.

We were best friends once. Then he turned on me and made it his mission to ruin my life. I've been humiliated, shut out, and gossiped about all through high school. His pranks and rumors got more sadistic as time wore on, and I made myself sick trying to stay out of his way. I even went to France for a year, just to avoid him.

But I'm done hiding from him now, and there's no way in hell I'll allow him to ruin my senior year. He might not have changed, but I have. It's time to fight back.

*This novel contains adult/mature young adult situations. It is only suitable for ages 18+ due to language, violence, and sexual situations.

**This book is the first in a series but can be read as a STAND ALONE. The next books will focus on side characters from this story.

4.5 Star Review  by Jen Hagen

“There were so many times when we were kids, growing up next door to each other, that I thought Jared was the greatest.  He was sweet, generous, and friendly.  And the most beautiful boy I’d ever seen…But that kid was long gone now.”

Jared and Tate were young best friends, until the one summer before freshman year when he went to stay at his dad’s place and came back a different person.  Now he is cruel and intimidating to Tate, and only to Tate.

“I’d wracked my brain a thousand times trying to figure it out.  He was cold to most people, but he was downright cruel to me.  Why me?”

Tate has spent the last couple of years hiding from him, even going so far as to hide from him by spending her junior year of high school in France.  She has endured pranks and rumors from Jared that have forced her to be on guard all the time in school and to keep herself hidden.  Not only is it Jared that intimidates her, but also Jared’s best friend Madoc has been coerced into making Tate’s high school days a living hell.
“I’d be going home in tears again.  No doubt.”
Tate has now returned from her year abroad and unfortunately Jared hasn’t eased up on his cruelty. Tate’s best friend convinces Tate that she needs to start fighting back and not let Jared get the upperhand every time.   Tate isn’t letting Jared get the best of her for the duration of their senior year.  She is fighting back and performing acts that a stealth burglar would perform.  Jared is caught off guard by Tate’s daring performances.
“I underestimated you.  You haven’t cried yet, have you?...I promise you will be in tears by next week.”
A class assignment is where Tate is able to cut Jared to the core.  She uses it to her advantage to let him know how much he hurt her and how much she misses what they had.
“Jared could push me, hurt me, take what he wanted, but showing him that he had hurt, but not broken me, was how I won.”
Jared and Tate seem to be on a whiplash tour of emotions – both of them causing the other to gain hope that their friendship can be saved.  But did Jared push it too far and is there any hope for their friendship to be saved following a viral incident?
“I told myself a hundred times today that he couldn’t be trusted.  He was a liar.  A bully.  But his words were getting to me.  He looked upset.  Either he was a really good actor, or…he was telling the truth.”
You will go on quite the ride with Tate and Jared.  This book deserves high praise for giving the reader an emotional journey throughout its course.  There is anticipation following every page turn and elation when you can savor in one of Tate’s small victories.  Both Jared and Tate have acts of anger embedded in them, but my particular favorite is Tate going ballistic on Jared’s car.  That in itself is worth the price of this book.

Three Chicks interview Author Penelope Douglas

Three Chicks:  How long have you been teaching?

I’ve been teaching for seven years. Five of them with all boys!

Three Chicks:  Did the story line for Bully come from any observations with your students or from something else?

Well, of course, bullying is always on a teacher’s mind. We watch for that like hawks. But I have to say the idea for an edgy high school romance came from reading Tijan, author of the Fallen Crest Series. I read Fallen Crest High last year and was blown away by the creative chances she took with a young adult storyline. I wanted to do something similar and break ground of my own. Not sure if I did, but I’m trying!

Three Chicks:  Is Bully the first book you’ve written or the first one that you have written and self-published?

Bully is the first book I’ve written. Ever. I was reading lots of New Adult and had a story to tell, so I gave it a shot. I remember that I started writing a serial killer story when I was sixteen on yellow legal pad, but my mother was pretty freaked out when she read it. Not sure what ever happened to that legal pad.

Three Chicks:  Bullying is such a sensitive subject. Given Jared’s history of abuse, do you think that helps to explain why he then abuse Tate?

It definitely had a hand in shaping the young man he became. I’m hoping to better draw the connections in Until You, so people will understand his mindset. Not excuse it, just understand it. Does he get a pass for his actions towards her?  No, of course not. I always knew Jared and Tate’s story wasn’t over. There is still work that needs to be done, and I had planned to address that in Rival as a subplot. However, the feedback has encouraged me to re-evaluate my plan and give Jared an opportunity to tell his story. I’m so grateful that readers have embraced these characters and want to hear his side.

Three Chicks:  There are some very strong secondary characters in Bully. After Until You and Rival, do you see yourself continuing with this story or do you have plots for other books in mind?

After Rival, I only planned for one more book. Jax’s story (which is untitled). I also want to bring Ben in as a stronger presence.

Three Chicks:  Do you have plans to continue writing part time and teaching or will you be writing full time?

My plan is for 2013-2014 to be my final year teaching. I enjoy it tremendously, and I’ve loved warping, I mean shaping, young minds, but I’ve fallen in love with writing and have a dozen stories in my head right now that want out!

Three Chicks:  How do you manage to find time with a busy family life and a job to write-do you set aside time each day; do you write as an idea forms in your head-what is your typical writing process like?

For Bully, I wrote evenings and weekends. It was very stressful to try to be an attentive parent, but writing became so important to me, too. I had started to feel like I was living the same day over and over again. Go to work, make dinner, bath time, and bedtime, you know? Writing has made me feel like I have new goals all of the time, and it’s a much more exciting life now.

Three Chicks:  Did you ever in your wildest dreams think Bully would have the response it has had from readers?  After all, word about it is spreading like wildfire.

Uh, no. I thought maybe fifty people would download it. My editor encouraged me to make it free for a few days for exposure, but I still had no idea what I was in for. I didn’t even know what a blog tour was at that time. Suffice it to say, I am doing cartwheels over the response and still can’t believe strangers email me with how much they loved what I wrote.

New Adult Romance

Heir to the local motorcycle club and crime syndicate, Cooper Johansson is accustomed to taking what he wants. His newest conquest is college freshman Farah Smith.

When the tattooed bad boy reminds her of a rough childhood she desperately wishes to forget, Farah keeps him at arm's length. Yet, Cooper refuses to give up. He pushes her buttons, tears through her walls, and forces her to admit her feelings for him. What begins as lust soon builds into something more powerful than either expects.

Can the beast heal the damage inside the girl of his dreams?

***Warning: This novel contains scenes of a sexual nature, violent themes, and coarse language. It is intended for mature readers.

Damaged and the Beast is a complete novel with a HEA. Damaged and the Knight is scheduled for publication in June 2013 and follows Farah's sister. Damaged and the Outlaw is planned for autumn 2013.

4 Star Review by Jen Hagen

Farah’s life is headed in a new direction.  She has moved away from her father and onto college life.  Farah has not seen her mother for 5 years, ever since the night when it became more important for her mother to save a materialistic item than to save her own flesh and blood.  Farah’s sister, Tawny, is still living from city to city, hotel to hotel, with their father who owes a lot of debt and is always on the run.  He expected Farah to work and bring home money.  Ever since the 3rd grade she has had dreams of becoming a teacher and now she is well on her way to achieving that dream.

Grinning while I unpacked, I couldn’t believe I was finally on my way to becoming the new Farah. An educated woman, instead of simply the daughter of losers. I loved my parents, but they made bad choices. I intended to do the opposite for the next four years so I could get my dream job and build the life I had always wanted.

Cooper is the oldest son of the motorcycle club president and is expected to take over the business.  He lives by his own rules and has no idea what it is like to be poor and to have nobody looking out for him.   He is infatuated with Farah and is weaseling his way into her life and trying to break down the walls that she has built around herself.   Farah doesn’t know how to respond to somebody actually caring about her.  And Cooper isn’t the best guy to be comfortable and unguarded around.  He is used to getting his way and doesn’t know how to respond to Farah’s ability to not be influenced by him.

I felt confused by how he bounced back and forth from asshole to gentle jerk. When he was sweet, I wanted him more than I’d ever wanted anything. When he was an asshole, he represented everything I hated in the world.

Farah and Cooper have fights, run away from each other, only to find solace in each other’s arms again.
Cooper is adamant that Farah will be his and he will continue to chase her down and make her his.

I won’t give up until you give me a chance. A real chance to show you who I am and what I see happening between us.

Once their attraction steps up to the next physical level there is an emotional  barrier that Farah needs to cross and it doesn’t help that Cooper is always “horny” (yes, I used that word…it’s used in the book a lot!).   Several attempts to get her to feel comfortable with this level of intimacy prove unsuccessful and always ends in Farah crying.

“It breaks my f*cking heart when you cry while I’m enjoying myself.”   (I was a little disappointed that Cooper would still continue on with his attempts even after witnessing her tears, but I guess he was horny.)

Farah has so many issues between her own emotional/physical trauma, her mother’s betrayal and the fact that her sister is away from her on the run with her father that she is barely hanging on to her own life and her dream.  Throw Cooper’s magnetic pull in the mix and Farah is barely keeping her head above water.   Can Cooper be strong enough to support Farah and break away her walls or will the damage from her past be too strong for the beast?

Blog Tour: Everything Bared by Kristine Cayne

Synopsis

Two polar opposites—she’s kinky, he’s uptight—discover they share a taboo desire that may destroy both their futures.

Firefighter Dani Harris has always wanted a family, but doesn’t think it’s possible because of her demanding, high-stakes career. Her sex life is as high-adrenaline as her job, and that’s just one more thing that makes her unsuitable to be a wife and mother. Her secret kink—exhibitionism—has gotten in the way of more than one relationship. Will she ever find a man who not only shares her wild fantasies, but loves her for them?

Burdened with ensuring the success of the struggling family business, William Caldwell IV needs a wife suited for a CEO—one with money and connections, who can manage his busy social life and raise their 2.5 children. He’s got everything all mapped out, but when he meets Dani, a woman who’s every kind of wrong, she taps into desires he’s only half-recognized and long-suppressed. Suddenly his carefully crafted five-year plan feels as confining as a straightjacket.

As Dani and Will’s sexual experimentation escalates, they test the limits of polite society by baring all and risking exposure—an exposure that could cost them their reputations and careers.

4.5 star review by Jen Skewes

Everything Bared is book two in the Six-alarm Sexy series.  We first met Dani and Will in the first book, Under His Command.  Dani is a firefighter and very good friends with Jamie Caldwell.  She also happens to be in love with Jamie's brother Will.  Everything Bared is Will and Dani's story and all I have to say it if you thought Jamie Caldwell was sexy and hot, then you need to meet Will.  Who knew that an up tight accountant could be so dam sexy!

Will is the CFO of his family's business and the only one of the brothers who is not a firefighter.  Will is known to be a little up tight and stiff.  He is trying to hold onto the family business and at the same time find the perfect woman to be his wife.  He has a reputation to uphold if he wants to be CEO of the company.  He needs the perfect woman, to be by his side at all times.  He needs a trophy wife.  Will has a 5 year plan.  But when the sexy, feisty, firefighter Danielle comes into his life that plan could go right out the window.

Dani is a strong, sexy, firefighter who is completely dedicated to her job.  She hasn't had much luck in the love department.  She is an exhibitionist and in the past when she tells her lover about her little sex kink, they tend to walk away.  She hasn't found that man who can share the same sexual preferences that she does.  She frequents sex clubs, but it's not the same as finding someone who will accept and share her fetish with her.

When she finds herself needing a place to stay for a month while her apartment is being renovated, her boss and good friend Jamie Caldwell has the perfect solution.  She can stay with his brother Will.  Dani has been a "member" of the Caldwell family for quite sometime.  She doesn't really have a great relationship with her mother, so Jamie's family has been like her surrogate family.  And his brother Will, has been the man who she has wanted for quite some time.  Will and Dani are complete opposites who have never really been friends in any way.  They get on each others nerves, know how to push each others buttons.  But despite all that when the banter starts between these two you can feel the sexual tension dripping off the pages.  They want each other, there is no denying it, but they both know that it can never be more than sex for them.  Dani is not the type of woman that Will is looking to spend his future with.  So they agree to a non exclusive, sex only relationship that stays between just the two of them, for the month that Dani is staying with him.  But things start to get complicated and feelings start to get involved.

Will love being with Dani but he keeps telling himself that she is not the right person for him.  Dani causes him to lose control when he is with her.  She brings out emotions and desires in him that he never knew existed.  He knows about her fetish and instead of walking away, he embraces it.  Dani helps him open up to a whole new world of sexual pleasure that he never thought was for him.  He realizes that a lifetime of vanilla is not for him.  He loves the sexual experiences he shares with Dani, but that is one of the things that scares him the most.  He has an image to uphold, a reputation to protect.  If people found out what he did behind closed doors, that could all be ruined.  And if anyone finds out that Dani is dating her boss's brother and likes to frequent sex clubs, she could lose her job.  Will Dani and Will go their separate ways to save their careers or will the decide that love is worth the risk?

First I need to say how hot and sexy Everything Bared is.  Will Caldwell is sex on a stick.  The first time him and Dani are really together, his dominant side comes out and oh my god!!!  The sex scenes are hot and steamy!  But there is more to this story then just the sex scenes.  There are emotions involved.  I felt bad for the two of them.  they fell for each other and even if Will couldn't admit it at first, he fell in love with Dani.  But they both have careers that they love and are afraid to put on the line because of their relationship.  Will was so torn between what he really wanted, Dani, and what he thought he should have, which is the prefect trophy wife.  What I loved about the two of them was their communication.  Dani opened upto him about her fetish, even though the fear of him running away was there.  But Will was willing to try it for her and for their relationship.  But what we see is that Dani and Will tend to have more in common than either of them expected.  Dani brought something out in Will that no one else ever could. She helped him become the person he really was and not the person he thought people expected him to be. They were so perfect together.

Will and Dani's journey wasn't an easy one.  There were a lot of twists and turns along the way but neither one of them gave up.  they are both strong people who fought for what they wanted and fought for each other.  Everything Bared has jut the right amount of everything.  It is fun and sexy, with the right amount of drama and suspense. Another fantastic job by Ms. Cayne.

Excerpt

When he rounded the corner into the kitchen, she almost choked on her coffee.  Shit. The

man was a walking, talking advertisement for Brooks Brothers. She’d teased him about wearing

a tie to a barbeque once, but the truth of the matter was that Will wore a suit like he was born

to it. The light gray fabric of his jacket molded his wide shoulders and chest to perfection,

reminding her of the man in her dream. His trousers hugged thigh muscles that rippled with each

step he took toward her.

Pure suit porn.

A few feet away from her, he stopped and surveyed the kitchen, his brows furrowing into a

deep V. “What’s all this?”

She flipped her ponytail over her shoulder. “Breakfast. A meal generally eaten in the

morning.”

“Ha. It looks like you’re expecting your whole platoon.”

Ignoring his sarcasm, she slathered butter on her toast, then indicated the chair across from

her. “Sit. Have some.”

A resigned expression on his face, he pulled out the chair and sat. He sipped his coffee and

nodded. “I see you found my Caffé Vita.”

“S’good stuff,” she said around a mouthful.

A corner of his lips quirked up as he regarded her with amusement. “Do you always eat this

much?”

She set her fork down with more force than she’d meant. Why did men always make

comments about how much or how little women ate? “What’s it to you?”

“Nothing really. It’s just most women I know don’t eat anything if it isn’t green.”

“Then you know the wrong kind of women,” she said before shoveling a piece of toast

loaded with egg into her mouth. Yeah, she knew it was bad manners, but fuck him. She took a

sip of coffee to help the food go down, and that’s when she noticed he hadn’t taken a single bite.

“What’s wrong? You don’t like eggs?”

“I usually eat cereal.”

“Really? All I saw was a box of that bran crap my mom used to force down our throats when

we were constipated.”

His face turned red. “Don’t you have a filter?”

“Didn’t think I needed one. We’re roomies now.” She tried not to laugh, but the expression

on his face was priceless. And she couldn’t help poking at him just a little more. “If you’re

having a problem, I could pick up some Metamucil for you.” She grinned.

Giveaway and Review: Tall,Tatted and Tempting by Tammy Falkner

She’s locked up tight. But he might be the key.

Logan Reed is tall, tatted and tempting.
Kit’s a woman with a mean right hook and a secret.

Kit wants a tattoo, but Logan sees more than she intends to share in the drawing of the tat she wants. He sees her in ways no one ever has.

Logan’s not disabled; but he hasn’t spoken in eight years. He hasn’t needed to.
Until he meets Kit.

Logan doesn’t know everything about Kit. Kit doesn’t know anything about herself,
until she has to sacrifice all she ever wanted to save what’s most important to him.

This book is not meant for individuals under the age of 18 due to adult language, adult sexuality and adult situations.

4 Star Review By Lisa Kane

Kit lives on the streets. Why, we don’t know, but she plays her guitar and busking for money. Logan Reed is a tattoo artist who lost his hearing as a result of a high fever. Up until his illness he could hear so he can speak, but chooses not to since his few attempts at speech led to nothing but humiliation. He lives with his four brothers and is something of a player (an understatement).  His lack of ability to hear has never been an issue in picking up women.

Their paths cross when Kit brings in most of the money she has to get an intricate design tattooed on her. She has the drawing in her hand and shows it to Logan to see if he can do it. Only Logan is a flirt and this time he messes with the wrong woman. After his hands roam where they shouldn’t she punches him in the nose and leaves without getting her drawing back. Logan is less upset about his nose and more upset at the fact that this girl, if her drawing is anything to go by, lives in a whole world of pain, and he just added to it.

Not long after, Logan sees Kit playing in the subway for money. He throws her a $20 and convinces her to have lunch with him. Although she has a hard time understanding him, she tries to read what he is writing down. That is another revelation about Kit. There are reading problems, and she won’t reveal her real identity. Logan opens up and lets her know he can speak somewhat so they can communicate. Why these two people confide some of their secrets to each other isn’t clear to them yet.

A lack of space at the homeless shelters leads to Kit spending the night at Logan’s. Although he has spent his life as an endless parade of one night stands, Logan backs off. Kit meets the rest of the Reed family. There’s his older brother Paul, who stepped up to the plate when their father took off after their mother’s death, his brother Matt, who is on his last ditch round of chemo and his two younger twin brothers Pete and Sam.

Kit and Logan slowly form a relationship and a genuine love for one another. But can Kit ever trust her secrets to Logan. What happens when fate steps in and Kit’s desires must come second?

I really enjoyed this one. I felt as though I was very familiar with the Reed family and felt a connection. Each of these individuals has known loss and sorrow. I found myself wanting to know more about the Reeds and their stories. This was an enjoyable book and I am looking forward to continuing their journeys.

Blog Tour: Feel the Rush by Kelsie Leverich

Synopsis

The New York Times bestselling author of The Valentine’s Arrangement continues her sizzling series with a new novel of a plan that goes awry—in the arms of a soldier…

Picking the wrong men is a talent Meagan Mitchell has perfected. She’s sweet, confident, beautiful—and single. With her thirtieth birthday sneaking up on her, she needs a new plan. No more Mr. Wrongs or Mr. Bads, it’s time to find Mr. Safe…

Army Captain, Reed Porter, lives for the thrill—he’s an Airborne Jumpmaster with a rush addiction. He’s sexy and playful, and he quickly tempts Meagan with his rich Southern drawl and sinful looks. But slowing down and settling down are not in his agenda, making him exactly the type of man Meagan wants to avoid…

As their undeniable attraction heats up, Meagan has to decide if she’s willing to risk everything on a chance at love with a reckless charmer. Is she brave enough to bet her future—and her heart—on Mr. Thrill? Or will Reed finally learn that the feeling of a safe landing is just as addicting as the rush of the fall?

4 star review by Jen Skewes

"Sometimes, the things we're afraid of, the things that scare us the most, are the things that give us the biggest rush."

Meagan Mitchell is approaching the big 3-0 and her plans of being married, with children and the white picket fence aren't looking so good.  When Meagan was in college the boy who she fell in love with, the one she saw her future with managed to completely shatter her heart into pieces.  Since his betrayal Meagan has yet to find love again, which could be a result of the men she chooses to date or is because she is just too afraid to give her heart away again?  Meagan seems to always go for the bad boys.  The ones that she knows will only break her heart in the end. When her best friend Eva is given orders to move, Meagan decides to move with her and get a fresh start.  She decides that what she needs in her life now is safe.   She needs to find the man that her heart will be safe with, the guy where there is no risk of it being broken again.  But that is easier said than done, especially when Reed Porter walks back into her life.

Reed Porter, is an airborne jump master who is a risk taker, and a  thrill seeker.  He loves adventure and the rush of it all.  He is also sexy, charming, funny and quite irresistible.  When he meets Meagan the attraction between the two of them is instant.  He wants her, but what he doesn't know at that moment is that they have met before, over 8 yrs ago. He may not have recognized Meagan, but he never forgot that moment with her 8 yrs ago and when he does finally remember it makes him want her even more.  He remembers what it was like to be with her, to feel her, to kiss her.  But Meagan needs and wants more than he can give her.  They are both two different people and right now they both want the complete opposite out of life.  They agree to be just friends, but as we all know that never lasts.  The chemistry and connection between the two of them is undeniable and Meagan has a hard time resisting Reed, not that he makes it easy for her.  Reed knows she wants the happily ever after and knows that he cannot give it to her.  Meagan knows that in the end Reed will break her heart and not be able to give her what she wants, but they both decide to take the risk and live in the moment.  But things become complicated and they both start falling for each other, but he is still not willing to settle down.  Can two people who wants different things out of their relationship, somehow meet in the middle and make it work?

Reed and Meagan were so good together.  The chemistry between the two of them was hot!  But they also had a bond, and a connection.  Both Reed and Meagan have issues from their past that prevent them from finding the love they both deserve.  The betrayal that Meagan has experienced has caused her to have trust issues.  And she realizes that maybe she goes after the bad boys for a reason.  She tends to run when things start moving in a certain direction.  Reed, on the other hand doesn't think he is worthy of being loved.  Something happened in his past that has caused him to feel so much guilt and pain that he thinks he doesn't deserve to be happy.  He loves Meagan whether he can admit it or not, it doesn't matter.  Because in his eyes he is isn't good enough for her.  There were a few moments where my heart broke for Reed.  Because of what he went through and the guilt he is feeling but also because I think assumptions and miscommunication played a part in the heartache between the two of them.

" I feel guilty because I want it.  I want you.  And I want to be the man who gives you everything."

Feel the rush was a roller coaster ride of emotions:  happy, sad, angry and frustrated.  I loved the flirty and sexy banter between Meagan and Reed.  There were some twists that you did not see coming and some moments that will frustrate you. You will both laugh and cry.  You will fall in love with the very sexy Reed.  Meagan is a strong character and one that I think many woman her age can definitely relate to.  We all want the fantasy that includes a husband, 2.5 kids and a house with a white picket fence.  We all want our happily ever after.  I loved the addition of Meagan's best friend Eva.  She was there when she needed her but also told her like it was, no holding back.  Reed and Meagan had a tough road with many bumps and broken hearts along the way.  But Kelsie Leverich manages to tie it all up in a way that will leave you smiling.  I loved Feel the Rush.  It is a wonderful story about two people who fall for each other in ways they didn't expect.  It's about getting over fears and insecurities and taking a chance on love. About moving on from the pain and guilt of the past and realizing that you deserve to be happy.

A wonderful job by Ms. Leverich

About the author

Kelsie Leverich lives in Indiana with her husband and two adorable monsters that are better known as her kids. Her life revolves around her family (to include two dogs and a cat) and most of the time, actually all of the time, it’s a crazy mess—but that’s the way she loves it! When

Blog Tour: Vixen in Vegas by Emma Nichols

Blurb:

It was supposed to be a week of simply being, of living in the moment, and enjoying every minute while it lasted. Of course, that kind of intoxication can have lingering effects. For Sin, she found herself wanting to break all the rules, to extend her time with the stranger who stole her heart. Vegas was just the right kind of place to take such a gamble. Meeting up with BE at the gondolas was a risk. Love went against everything they had promised, but the best things in life can’t be planned.

Soon Alysin will be tested.

After guarding her heart for so long, she finally let a man in and discovered that the worst things in life happened when she least expected them. When she walked in on BE with another woman and overheard their heated conversation, she suddenly remembered there was a reason she made these rules.

Will broken rules lead to broken hearts or will she realize that though love was a gamble, she was all in?

4.5 star review by Jen Skewes

I loved Sin at Sea and could not wait for Vixen in Vegas.  I needed to know what would happen when Sin and Mr. BE met in Vegas, would they get their happily ever after and most of all I needed to know more about BE.  I needed to know why a sexy, sweet, charming, amazing man like him would be on a cruise by himself.  Of course I had some ideas in my head, none of which even came to close to the real reason behind the cruise.  And no, I am not going to say a word, but just know that it was a twist that I did not see coming.  Vixen in Vegas is still hot and sexy and Mr. BE is still completely swoon worthy, but this is a little bit more of an emotional read and one that I absolutely loved.

Vixen in Vegas picks up exactly where Sin at Sea left off.  Sin is getting ready to pack her stuff, get her affairs in order and move to Las Vegas and meet the man that she fell in love with.  This move is huge for Sin and unlike any other move that she has experienced in her life.  Usually when her and her best friend take off, she is usually running.  But this time she has broken all her rules, she got attached and has fallen in love.  This time she is running towards love.  Her insecurities start to take over, and leave her wondering if BE will show up.  Will the spark that they had on the cruise still be there.  As anxious as she is to meet him she can't help but wonder what will happen once she does.

After getting the reassurance that she needs, her and BE finally meet again and the chemistry between the two of them is just as explosive as the first time they met.  There is an undeniable bond between the two of them.  And while they have only knows each other for a week and knew nothing about each other, they were drawn to each other like magnets.  Some would wonder, can two people who have known each other for a week, and don't even know each others names really fall in love?  The answer is yes!  Sin and BE, in my opinion were so perfect together and their love was so real.  They were both scared of the feelings that they had for each other, especially Sin.  These feelings of needing him, and loving him were new to her but she wanted to embrace it and hold onto it.  But she still doesn't know much about the man that has her heart.  And he has a secret that can have a major impact on their relationship.  When she finally learns what it is that he has been hiding, will she run again or will she stay and fight?

I loved these two characters together.  BE was still amazing, sweet, charming, caring and very sexy.  You truly see how much he loves Sin and how much he wants to make her happy.  The twist in this book, which is his secret was definitely one that I was not expecting, but I loved the direction that the author took this story.  Sin and BE were still hot together, but it was the sweeter moments that completely captured my heart. I can't go into detail without giving the whole story away, but you will not be disappointed.  Vixen in Vegas will make you laugh, cry and warm your heart.  BE and Sin's journey this time around came with a few bumps along the way.  But their love helped them to fight and hold on.  Vixen in Vegas was a wonderful story filled with happiness, sadness and heartache.  Amazing job by Ms. Nichols.
