Blog Tour: Unshattering Lucy by Terri Anne Browning

BLURB:

The conclusion to USA Today Terri Anne Browning’s The Lucy & Harris Novella Series.

Shattered.

That was how Lucy Thornton felt in the aftermath of her breakup with Harris Cutter. Her family thought the best thing for her to do was to put the length of the country between her and Harris.

Reluctantly, she went.

The second Harris sets eyes on Lucy again, he knows she hasn’t moved on any more than he has. Realizing that he screwed up, he sets out to prove that they belong together. But the road to un-shattering Lucy is longer and darker than he ever could have imagined.

Review by Lisa Kane

Lucy Thornton is reeling from seeing Harris Cutler, the love of her life, having sex on video with another woman. He'd been drugged and almost died from a lunatic's attack. She is trying to get those images out of her mind, but Harris isn't making things easy. He isn't answering any of her calls or texts and her own family thinks she needs to put some space between them. Their idea of space is leaving California and doing her last semester in Georgetown. But Lucy can't leave Harris without giving him one more chance.

"No. I want you to go. We don't belong together, Lucy. You're better off without me."

"No!" I shook my head, ready to decimate any argument he could come up with, but the next words out of his mouth had my knees threatening to buckle.
"I'm better off without you, Lu."

Devastated, Lucy leaves for Georgetown determined to move on without Harris. Only things don't always turn out the way we want them to. The months drag by but Lucy's pain only gets worse and old habits are revisited. Lucy puts on a brave front but she is drowning. When pictures stop popping up all over of Harris and leggy blondes, she spirals into a deeper depression.

Harris might seem like he's coping, but he is barely treading water. His family's told him Lucy is doing well at school and is moving on. As much as he wants to go after her, is she better off without him?

Because I'd been too twisted up. Too ashamed of not having control of a situation I wouldn't have ever been a part of had I not been drugged out of my mind. I'd been weak and I'd hated that weakness.

Unshattering Lucy brings Harris and Lucy's story full circle. It's full of heartbreaking secrets, lots of drama and a love of family so strong it has continuously been the core of the Rocker series and Lucy and Harris journey. These characters work hard, play harder and love the hardest. A whole new set of characters has been introduced and I can't wait for Gray and Kessa's story. These two remind me of Drake and Lana (my favorite couple) and I think she is so going to give him a run for the money!

"Is that how it felt for you too?" she whispered. "Like you were dying without me?"

"No," I told her honestly. "No, it wasn't like I was dying. I was dead, Lucy. I was dead without you."
