Marcus is a total man whore.
You learn this very early on, page 1 to be exact. He is a sexy, cocky, tattoed, model and man
whore! But he wasn't always this way. When he was younger he was the geeky litte
Marcus Greyson. The kid who always
tried to get attention from his older sister’s friends. The kid who would try to tag along and do
anything to make them all laugh. But
Marcus isn’t that little geeky kid any more.
He grew up to be one hot and sexy man who will sleep with just about any
woman that crosses his path, including his sister's friends. When he meets any new friends of Riley’s he
tends to sleep with them and then of course leaves them wanting more. But more is not something that Marcus is
willing to give. And in the end his
sister is left to clean up his mess, having to deal with the fact that he wants
nothing more than sex with them. And then she ends up she losing her friends. His sister has been on his case to grow up
and settle down and to stay away from her friends. Marcus has no intention of settling down at
all. He likes his life, but he does love
his sister and tries to stay away from her friends. That is until he sees Tessa for the first
time in 13 years. If there is one woman
who Marcus Greyson will give up his man whorish ways for, it is Tessa Bradley.
Tesse and Riley were best of friends growing up. And Marcus always had a thing for her. She was the one friend of his sister’s that
he always tried to impress. Tessa hasn’t
spoke to them in 13 years because of her controlling and abusive ex
husband. But she has escaped from her
husband and is now on her own taking care of herself and her little boy. She runs into Marcus and cannot believe how
much he has grown up and how sexy he is.
There is definitely a spark between them and an attraction that she
cannot deny. But knowing how much of a
man whore he is, she knows that she should stay away. She is just coming out of an abusive relationship and
has a son to take care of. And being
with Marcus will only leave her with a broken heart in the end.
Marcus is determined to have Tessa and he knows deep down
that one night with her will not be enough.
She is the one woman who can cause him to break down, to want to change
his ways and actually have a relationship.
Marcus has never had any issues getting a woman in his bed. But Tessa is not just any woman. And there are challenges that they both face,
one being his sister who is dead set against the two of them being
together. Riley knows her brother better
than anyone and the last thing her best friend needs is to be hurt by him. The other issue is that Tessa is just coming out of a marriage with an abusive husband and has a child to think about. Will Marcus prove to be a changed man where Tessa
is concerned and will these two give into their feelings regardless of what his
sister thinks?
Oh Marcus, Marcus, Marcus (sigh). I loved him!. So I admit the first page has me wondering about him, but I completely fell in love with him. Yes he is hot and sexy but he is also loving,
caring and has a sweet side to him. You
knew from the beginning how much he loved Tessa and how much he wanted to be
with her. He knew what she had been
through with her ex and if being friends was all she was willing to give than
he would have to accept it….for now. What started out as a fun and casual fling turned into so much more between them. But just when their relationship takes a turn in the right direction, insecurities, misunderstandings and people from their past threaten to destroy it all.
Tessa and Marcus were so good together. I loved Tessa. She wanted Marcus but knew she should stay away from him. But she just couldn't hold back her feelings for him any longer. She felt different with Marcus. After being in an abusive relationship with a controlling husband for so many years, being with Marcus made her feel alive again, like the person she once was. Keep Me was a sweet and sexy read and at times emotional. I loved every part of this book but it was the last 25% I would say that had me on the edge of me seat. There was a twist that I thought I was completely ready for only to find out that I was wrong. I sat there, not being able to read quick enough, needing to know what will happen. In that moment my anxiety was through the roof and there were knots in my stomach, wishing everything would be ok.
Keep Me made me laugh, cry, and completely swoon over Marcus. Faith Andrews did a fanatics job with this story. I felt every emotion that these characters felt, the frustration, the happiness, the anxiety and even fear. I felt it all right along with them. I was rooting for Marcus and Tess to get their happily ever after. And in the end I was left smiling and with a Marcus hangover!!
