I love Kendall Ryan- plan and simple. She is a one click author for me. EVERY SINGLE TIME. I swear she's a genius author. And this story was no different. I can honestly say-this is one of the first times that I was super intrigued by the whole BDSM lifestyle. She made it sound super fascinating and not at all harsh and punishment driven. And boy did I swoony hard for the hero of the story- big time crush on the hero- he may be my next book boyfriend. And what made me even more excited for this book was the fact that it was a stand alone!! Thank you little baby Jesus! I am not sure I could have handled it if it were a cliffhanger. Overdone! And we did get a little insight that it WILL be a series, YAY!
Brie is the heroine of this story and she is totally in love with her best friend Kirby, who doesn’t really reciprocate her feelings at all. I think he even tells her she would be the perfect girl, if he was ever really able to settle down. Poor innocent Brie. She doesn't really have the confidence, sexually she believes, to keep the attention of Kirby- so she seeks out the Gentleman Mentor. His gimmick is like that of a sexual "œHitch," if you will. Hitch, was the movie ten years ago- (TEN YEARS??) with Will Smith who plays a dating coach for clueless guys, that’s who I compare the Gentleman Mentor too- only with sex, and with females. Brie can't believe she is going to go through with it- but as soon as she meets him, she knows it will be worth it.
The Gentleman Mentor is the hero of the story, and such a stud muffin, like off the charts ridiculously good looking. His flaw is that he was super burned by a girl that he really loved and now he has sworn off dating and sticks to what he knows, pleasing women. He is definitely a dominant in search of a submissive, so when he answers Brie’s email- he knows he has to take her up as a client. What he doesn’t bargain for is breaking all his rules for her. I found his version of BDSM one I really liked. It was done well and was super tasteful- oh and did I mention insanely HOT. Like where is my husband right now??? (there is a bit of a twist with who the hero actually is- so I don’t want to put his name here!)
It seems a bit crazy that Brie actually starts to want this man, even more so than Kirby- but she knows nothing about her real mentor. All she knows is that they have this amazing chemistry between the both of them. And as hard as the hero tries to fight it, its going to be him who is submitting in the end.
I can’t wait for Reece'™s story, the Gentleman mentor's good friend in the story The Dominant, I think he is one interesting character, and the blurb for his story looks fantastic, and with Kendall writing it- I know she is going to knock another one out of the park that's for sure.

As I rise
from the bed, awareness burns inside me that I’ve never fallen asleep at a
client’s house. Usually I can’t get out of there fast enough, wanting a hot
shower and the comfort of my own bed.
Yet right
now, I can still smell Brielle’s scent on my fingers, and I don’t even want to
