Anxious hearts are tamed and souls are forever bound.

4 Star Review by Jen Skewes

Bound Souls is the sequel to Anxious Hearts and the conclusion to Daphne and Zander’s story.  I loved these to together and loved watching what started out as just a one night stand turn into so much more.  This was a really sweet and enjoyable read.

Daphne and Zander met one night at a bar and had one night of sex.  It was nothing more than sex and afterwards they went their separate ways never expecting to see each other again.  Until they realize that they have a mutual friend.  And then the unexpected happens and they go from two complete strangers to two people who are now going to be bound together.

Daphne is pregnant with Zander’s baby and has moved in with him.  More as roommates than anything else.  They hardly even know each other but Zander being the stand up guy that he is plans on taking care of his child and Daphne.  He wants to be there with her to experience it all.  Zander finds himself falling for Daphne but he knows that she tends to keep him at arm’s length when it comes to feelings, but he also knows that are reasons behind her walls, he just doesn’t know what they are.

Daphne starts to feel something for the father of her child but is too afraid to admit it.  She’s afraid to open up and let him in.  She doesn’t think that she deserves him because of the demons that she has been fighting.  Will she be able to open up to Zander and admit her feelings or will she run?

I really enjoyed this book.  Daphne and Zander are two people who know nothing about each other.  But here they are living together and having a baby.  Zander is honestly great about this whole situation.  I love how he takes responsibility and steps up to the plate to take care of Daphne and his baby.  He is there with her every step of the way.  I loved watching them both grow and loved watching them slowly fall in love.  This story wasn’t rushed at all in the sense that they find out they are having a baby and then instantly it all works out.  They take their time and adjust to this new life and their feelings.  This is new for the both of them and not just the baby part, but all of it.

I loved Zander and how protective and sweet he w with Daphne.  You could see how much he cared and how much he was falling for her.  He also had his own family issues that he was dealing with but he had Daphne there to help him.  Daphne was a wonderful heroine.  She had some issues that she was facing but she never gave up.  She was scared and I understood why and just wanted her to realize how much she deserved to be loved and to be happy.   This was the perfect conclusion to their story.  I loved that we got to see Francesca and Cade as well.  Great job by Felicia Tatum.
