Release Blitz: Marx Girl by TL Swan

Cover Design: Hang Le
Release Date: January 28, 2018

Synopsis

Ben

We met five years ago when I was her family’s bodyguard.
Our time together was a secret.

Her touch was different…. addictive.
I fell hard and fast and then I left.

I’ve thought about her every day since.

As I sit here at a wedding watching her with her new boyfriend……I have regrets.

Regrets for the past things I’ve done.
But I won’t regret what I’m about to do.

She's telling me no but her body's telling me yes.

I need her beneath me.
I’m having her tonight.

Bridget.

It’s the little things I remember about Ben.
His smile and the icing sugar he had on his pancakes.

What started out as private jokes between us soon turned into private visits.

The quiet man at the back of the crowd.

His dry wit made me laugh.
His dominant body ruined me forever

He never told me he loved me, until he was leaving.
That was five years ago.

Things are looking up for me.
I met someone, someone special.

But Ben is back.

I find myself thinking about him ......more than I should.
No matter how hard my heart is freefalling from my chest.

I will never go back there.

You only get to break my heart once.

Review by Lisa Kane

Five years ago, Ben Statham walked out on Bridgett Marx. Not one word did she hear from him. She forced herself to go on with her life. She dated, played the field and enjoyed herself. Now she’s with her boyfriend Eric and her family is coming to Australia. Her brother in law, Joshua’s brother, is getting married and everyone is coming to the wedding. And by everyone…it seems Ben is coming too.

"Why did you come back now?"

Seems Ben has found out that Bridgett is dating someone that she could settle down with and he’s not about to let that happen. There are reasons he stayed away, but those reasons aren’t factors anymore. To say Bridget’s is less than pleased to see him is an understatement!

"I'm picking up something here. Your body language with Eric is off.?
"Ssh, keep your voice down. You are not picking up something with my body language at all. What, are you Oprah now? I'm done with Ben. End of story," I whisper angrily.
"No, you're not," Ben snaps from behind me.

Ben has his work cut out for him.  Bridgett isn’t going to just forgive him for leaving her, especially when she hears he had more than his share of fun in the years they were apart. Ben is complicated and has lived a complicated life. Those complications are going to wreak havoc with both their lives.

But do I even want him home, knowing this about him?

Spending time back in Stanton Land brings me to my happy place! I adore my Joshua and Natasha Stanton and any glimpses into their lives brings a big ole cheese-eatin’ grin to my face.

"You hurt me," he whispers.
My eyes fill with tears. "I know, baby, I know. You hurt me first."

Marx Girl was everything I wanted it to be and more! There are so many strong secondary characters all jumping up and down for their stories to be told. And I’ll right here, impatiently waiting for them.

"And your face is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen."
