Blurb
The first time I met Brody Easton was in the men’s locker room.
It was my first interview as a professional sportscaster.
The famed quarterback decided to bare all.
And by all, I don’t mean he told me any of his secrets.
No.  The arrogant ass decided to drop his towel, just as I asked the first question.  On camera.
The Super Bowl MVP quickly adopted a new hobby—screwing with me.
When I pushed back, he shifted from wanting to screw with me, to wanting to screw me.
But I don’t date players.
And it’s not because I’m one of the few women working in the world of professional football.
I’d date an athlete.
It’s the other kind of player I don’t date.
You know the type.  Good looking, strong, cocky, always looking to get laid.
Brody Easton was the ultimate player.
Every woman wanted to be the one to change him.
But the truth was, all he needed was a girl worth changing for.
Turned out, I was that girl.
Simple right?
Let’s face it.  It never is.
There’s a story between once upon a time and happily ever after…
And this one is ours.

5 Stars
Review by Natasha Gentile

Ok let’s start off by discussing this cover.  Holy Moly is that a football in his pants? I just keep looking and waiting for it to jump out at me.  Well hoping is more like it.

So you read the blurb and you are thinking this is another sports book about a star quarterback and his gigantic ego.  I can say that honestly, I was thinking the same thing, but  boy was I wrong!

So this story begins not with the Super Bowl MVP, but with Delilah.  She’s a new reporter at World Media Broadcasting.  Tonight she will be the one interviewing the team.

A woman in a man’s world.

They don’t make it easy on her, actually she is one of the only women journalists in the room.  She isn’t backing down. Not now.

I hit a few other players, skipping the ones who were in various states of undress.  A lot of skin was flashing around, but most of it was bare chest and a$$.  Almost all of the other men turned and faced their lockers as they changed.

Ok so it’s not so bad, not everyone is giving her the stink eye, she can do this so can rock this.  Until she sets her sight on none other than Brody Easton.

The man who last year went into a media war with a female sportscaster.  This is the interview that the station is waiting for -she has to nail this.

I followed the carved line of his cheekbones up, passing sinfully full lips and an imperious Roman nose before rising to the most incredible eyes I’d ever seen.  Jesus.  He’s even sexier in person.
Pale green, almond-shaped eyes sparkled beneath luscious think, dark lashes.  His eyes were captivation in a way that startled me.  I shook my head in an attempt to disconnect from the magnetic vision in from of me.

Okay, I guess she can work with this.  He’s hot, so hot, and the worse thing is he totally knows it.  He flaunts it.  He makes their first interview together with him full frontal!  Okay, so he’s arrogant, and cocky, and a lady’s man, and he tries getting under her skin.

Except when Delilah turns the tables on him, he realised that she is not just a pretty face.  She’s more. She’s so much more and he’s going to go right into the eye of the storm.

This is when this story becomes so much more than just a regular jock book.  You see,  Brody he puts up these walls.  He makes you think he’s this huge player that is only looking for a good time, but what you don’t see is that he’s full of heart.

His heart has been beaten, his view on love shredded.  He’s not the only one.  It seems Delilah has been handed a crappy hand as well.

Loved by her late dad, who was also a footballer, she gave her heart away to one man.  She was so in love with him that she always knew she would end up with him, but it seems fate had other plans for her.

So these two tango a bit, before falling into bed.  I mean it was only obvious that this is where it was going.  Did you not see the cover?

I mean it’s hot, smoking hot, but to me it was so much more.  It was about two broken empty people finally be able to feel alive again.

“I’d be in bed, too”
“What would you be watching?”
“Your face while I sink inside of you.”

Two people who thought that love wasn’t in the future are now both hit with it in their face.  Their little fling slowly becomes something that neither of them is ready to admit that it just might be- Love.  That simple word has so many different meanings to it.

Suddenly she stopped walking and looked up, scanning the arena as if searching for something.  When her eyes found mine, even across half a stadium, it was all the sign I needed.

With two people in love with each other, it should be simple right?  It should be easy right, it should be a piece of cake, but it’s not.

Love, it’s got so many different facets, so many different passes, so many different ways to make the plays.  But if you follow all those rules, and you run straight for the end zone, you’re bound to get a touchdown.  And that my friends, is what this is.

There’s a story between once upon a time and happily ever after…

That story is touching, it’s beautiful, it’s funny, it’s steamy, it’s bold and it’s given me a new way to enjoy the game that is football.

A new song had just started, and I was enjoying his company when a voice behind me said, “Can I cut in?”
My head whipped around, even though I had no doubt whom the gravelly voice belonged to.
Michael was gracious. “I hate to share. But I suppose I have been hogging the most beautiful woman at the event.” He let go of my hand and stepped back with a gentlemanly nod. “Thank you for the dance, Delilah.”
Again Brody Easton had caught me off guard. Before I knew it, I was dancing with the arrogant jerk.  He wrapped his arms around me and pulled my body tight against his. Way tighter than Michael had held me.
“Good to see you again, Lois Lane.”
The man had balls; I had to give him that. I looked him straight in the eyes. “Nice to see you with clothes on, Easton.”
“Do you prefer me without?”
“I prefer you on the other side of the room.”
He chuckled. It was a hearty laugh. “That’s what happens sometimes when you decide you want to hang out in the men’s locker room.”
I tried to pull back, but he tightened his grip and held me in place. I craned my neck. “Let go of me.”
“No.”
“No?”
“That’s right. No.”
“I can scream at the top of my lungs.”
“I’d like to hear you scream.” His tone made it clear he meant he wanted me underneath him while I was doing the screaming.
“You’re an asshole. You know that?”
“I do. You asked me that yesterday. For a reporter, you should really try changing up your questions more frequently.”
My eyes bulged.
Easton shifted his hand down to the small of my back before twirling us around the dance floor. Figures the prick can dance.
“Are you seeing anyone?”
“You can’t be serious?”
He ignored my comment. “Would you like to have dinner tonight?”
“We just ate.”
“Dessert at my place, then?”
I couldn’t help but laugh. “Did you hit your head at the game yesterday?”
“On a diet, huh?”
“Yeah. That’s it. I don’t want to go to your place for dessert because I’m on a diet.”
“Well, that’s just a shame.”
