About FAULT LINES:

At eleven he was my first crush. At sixteen he became mine. At nineteen he broke my heart and destroyed me. That was ten years ago and the last time I saw Cole Ryan.

They say you never get over your first love...I beg to differ. I left my shattered heart buried in a town I never expected to return to. I erased every thought of him and buried the memories never to be found.

I moved on...now ten years later I have the perfect life, the perfect fiancé, the perfect career. Everything I ever wanted until I'm forced to go back and face my past and the man that destroyed me.

He won't stop until I know the truth no matter how hard I fight it. In the end, lies will be uncovered, hearts will be broken, and my life as I've come to know it destroyed.

Fault Lines is a second chance romance between two people who were in love over ten years ago.  What started out as a friendship at a young age turned into a love that would last forever.  A love like no other.  They had their future planned and knew that they would grow old together.  Until betrayal and lies tore them apart.

Frankie and Cole were in love and for them it was the love that would last forever.  They had plans and dreams.  Frances would go away to school, become a lawyer and make a life for the two of them.  they would be able to get out of the small town that they lived in and live a happy life together.  Until Cole completely destroyed her heart.  She left the small town she grew up and and never looked back.  When she gets a phone call ten years later from the man who broke her heart, she is shocked.  But the phone call has nothing to do with them.  She needs to go back home because her mother is sick.  The last thing she wants to do is go back and face her past, but she is there to be with her mother and when she is well again she will go back to CA and her happy life.

Cole has been in love with Frankie since he first met her.  Ten years ago he broke her heart, but at the same time he also broke his own.  He wanted a future with her but his lies tore them apart.  He has regretted what he did ten years ago and has still be carrying around both the guilt and pain.  Frankie is back in town, if only for a little while.  He needs to see her and talk to her and explain what happened ten years ago, but Frankie is still hurt and angry with him.  Getting her to speak to him is going to be a challenge but one he will gladly take on.  She has a great job, a finance, and she is happy.  So why is she still thinking of Cole, why does he still get to her in ways that no other man can?  Will there be a second chance for the two of them?

I really loved the characters and throughout the book i was rooting for them.  Cole was a really good guy despite what he did ten years ago.  But he truly is sorry for hurting her and deserves a second chance.  He has and always will love her, that has not changed.  I loved him for not giving up, even if there were times when I thought he would.

Frankie was a great heroine and I completely understood why she was still so angry with Cole.  Even to this day, she was happy and engaged to be married, but if Cole could still get to her you knew that her feelings for him were still there.  You felt the love between the both of them whether they were fighting, talking or making up for lost times.

I rally enjoyed this book but for me there was a little something missing.  And I also felt that some parts of this book were rushed.  They both had secrets.  Cole destroyed their relationship ten years ago and no matter the reason, he still hurt her.  I just felt that it all moved too quickly, especially considering they both in a way held onto the past for ten years.  Other that that it was a wonderful second chance story with two characters I adored.  I also loved Carter, their voice of reason and would love to see him get his own book as well.
