Review for Book #1 and Book #2 in the Just One Night series
I wanted a book to "get into," and boy did the Just One
Night series by Kyra Davis fit the bill! I was completely drawn into the world
of Kassie, a graduate from Harvard Business School who was working her way up at
a respected firm. Kassie puts a lot of restrictions on herself because she is
afraid of being a crushing disappointment, like her older sister.
Kassie has followed the "rules" all her life,
has a wardrobe befitting someone 10 years older than she is, and has been dating
the ultra conservative Dave for the last eight years. Kassie feels safe and
contained from her darker more base impulses and desires. She fights to keep
them under the surface at all times.
One fateful night, Kassie goes to Las Vegas
for a night of fun with her friend Simone. She meets a handsome, charismatic,
sexy stranger. Kassie thinks,
"He's my fantasy and the chemistry...the
intensity that exists between us...it's what I would have longed for if I had
know what it was. But I know what it is now."
What happens in Vegas stays in
Vegas, right? Hmmm....well, what would be the fun of THAT? The Stranger, ends on
a cliffhanger to beat all cliffhangers, but luckily Book 2, Exposed, is available. This series is a trilogy with the last in the series, Binding
Agreement, available May 20.
Exposed takes off right where The Stranger left
off. In Exposed, Kassie's true desires have been exposed, and this means she has
to deal with her ultra conservative boyfriend Dave, who I actually grew to
loathe and fear. These books are very sexy and suspenseful. Kassie is caught in
a love triangle and must choose. What will the fall out be from her choice?
Reading Exposed is like being on a roller
coaster. Buy a ticket and hop on for the ride. It has ups and downs, your
stomach will drop, and you will scream in delight and throw your arms up when
you are at the top!
